Regarding changes to Christopher J. Grubb
Hi, I added many awards along with references. Just wanted to know what went wrong. I believed - adding news links are good. NarendraKumarPankaj (talk) 23:27, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
- NarendraKumarPankaj, I see another editor told you three years ago how to a) declare your COI and b) properly source on Wikipedia. Linking to Grubb's own website isn't sufficient. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 23:28, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for replying. Removing his own website is okay. But I also added many award references he won over the time. Please guide "how to declare your COI" NarendraKumarPankaj (talk) 23:37, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
- I would appreciate if you could help me updating this page. I have gathered information from the internet. You check and finalize the content. Thanks NarendraKumarPankaj (talk) 23:43, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
Administrators' newsletter – December 2022
News and updates for administrators from the past month (November 2022).
- Consensus has been found in an RfC to automatically place RfAs on hold after one week.
- The article creation at scale RfC has been closed.
- An RfC on the banners for the December 2022 fundraising campaign has been closed.
- A new preference named "Enable limited width mode" has been added to the Vector 2022 skin. The preference is also shown as a toggle on every page if your monitor is 1600 pixels or wider. When disabled it removes the whitespace added by Vector 2022 on the left and right of the page content. Disabling this preference has the same effect as enabling the wide-vector-2022 gadget. - Tech tip: A single IPv6 connection usually has access to a "subnet" of 18 quintillion IPs. Add
/64
to the end of an IP in Special:Contributions to see all of a subnet's edits, and consider blocking the whole subnet rather than an IP that may change within a minute.
Improving the Giving circle article
Hi, @HickoryOughtShirt?4:, How are you? I've been working on improving an article and thought of you.
I recently submitted a edit request for the Giving circle article was curious if you'd be open to review the request. The Giving circle article has a flag, lacks secondary sources, and has too many external links and further reading entries. I drafted a new proposed sandbox to address those issues, and others have integrated their suggestions too. I won't edit the article myself due to my COI. Would you be open to review the sandbox/publish the content if you agree with the improvements? Appreciate any feedback or collaboration in advance.--Chefmikesf (talk) 21:41, 1 December 2022 (UTC)

- Hi Rehema A. Mollan Westberg and thanks for the note. Firstly, I am a woman and would like to be refered to as either my username or she/her honorifixs. Secondly, the draft is in no way near ready. It is a WP:Wall of text and only has four references. Please check out some of the articles on the main page of Wikipedia to see how wording and referencing should look. Peace Dove
Peace is a state of balance and understanding in yourself and between others, where respect is gained by the acceptance of differences, tolerance persists, conflicts are resolved through dialog, peoples rights are respected and their voices are heard, and everyone is at their highest point of serenity without social tension.
