Nuclear Age Peace Foundation
Hello! So I tried to make a good amount of edits to the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation page but all of them were blocked. You left a message about copyright but I'm confused as to which of my edits had an issue. Would you be able to help me with that? I took a good portion of my edits from their website but I tried to paraphrase. Would it help to include more quotations and citations or is there a different issue I'm not seeing? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.88.191.117 (talk) 23:39, 4 June 2020 (UTC)

- Hey Magpie247 and welcome to Wikipedia. Can I ask if you are in any way affiliated with this foundation? To address your question, yes quotations would be better but everything really should be in your own words. On Wikipedia,
editors should generally summarize source material in their own words, adding inline citations as required by the sourcing policy
(per Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing). The content you added was more copied than not and additionally quite promotional. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 02:33, 5 June 2020 (UTC)

Fictitious references - Can you help?
Hello, I saw a statement in an article which did not exist in the claimed source. I think it's a Type 3. The article is here. In the last paragraph, the last sentence 253th citation[1], I checked the source myself and I couldn't see any information that is strictly related to the last sentence of the last paragraph. Please, check it yourself if you can. I didn't know what to do about this, that's why I contacted you. Thank you.

- Koavf, I'm not adding unsourced edits. I believe we are at a misunderstanding of the NPR interview.
LAND: Yeah. I moved to Missoula and started going to the University of Montana, which was my original plan, like, right before I found out that I was pregnant with Mia. But this was six years later."
I believed this to mean six years after she moved to Washington or six years after she found out she was pregnant with her daughter. From what I can find, she got pregnant in September 2006 and moved to Missoula December 2011. She then started college in 2012. As well, I didn't add the September to the top, that was done here because of the info from the photo.HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 03:09, 15 June 2020 (UTC)- HickoryOughtShirt?4, Where does your source say that she has a husband named Tim whom she married in 2019? ―Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 03:10, 15 June 2020 (UTC)

Edits to "Lester Crystal"
I want to assure you that I have no financial interest in the Wikipedia entry for news executive "Lester Crystal." The edits that I have made to this entry are all entirely true and verifiable. For example, Mr. Crystal DID accompany President Nixon to China in 1972. At age 43, he WAS the youngest ever president of NBC News. He WAS featured on the cover of TV Guide in January of 1979 and DID win multiple Emmy Awards. These are all true aspects of Lester Crystal's biography and the fact they happen to be positive attributes doesn't in any way lessen their veracity.
Bradmeister007 (talk) 13:24, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- Bradmeister007 Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Can I ask if you are you in any way connected to this individual? I'm sure you can understand my suspicions since your only edits have been somewhat promotional and focused solely on Crystal. I'm unsure of your comment
These are all true aspects of Lester Crystal's biography and the fact they happen to be positive attributes doesn't in any way lessen their veracity.
Of course we want to disclose positive (and if needed negative) aspects of an individual but the way you are formatting it is unconventional. Please take a look at similar articles to Crystal and you will see how they are differently formatted. It is also necessary to mention that you failed to add citations for your content, which is neeccessary for all Wikipedia entries. If you have further questions, please check out the WP:Teahouse. Here is a list of citations that support all of the factual content that I included in the entry for "Lester Crystal." I am happy to add these to the entry. I also attempted to use the a format similar to the one used for other news executives.

You also haven’t answered my question about having any connection to the subject. Please understand that wikipedia has very strict WP:COI guidelines that need to be followed. Understood. How would I then communicate factual information regarding a ver batim publication with regard to, e.g., mission and vision statements? If I put a quote around those, would that work. Regarding change in Brahma Sarovar Page
Dear HickoryOughtShirt Thanks for your valuable feedback on my editing on the Brahma Sarovar Page, Sir The matter I included on the page is totally true and full of facts. I am very sure about the content I added in the page because I belong to the same place where this Historic Brahma Sarovar is located. When I was reading the page I was not available with references of sources but I know very much about this place very well, I am very new on Wikipedia as a contributor so that I might have made some mistakes but all are small and not made intently, If you still feel that I the matter should be deleted, I shall not oppose your actions Thanks Yours Truly Darshan Singh Knl — Preceding unsigned comment added by Darshan Singh knl (talk • contribs) 07:44, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Darshan Singh knl and welcome to Wikipedia. I know it can be frustrating but everything on Wikipedia needs to be sourced. It's a vital part of our verifiability policy. Think of it like this, a vandal comes by and changes something on Brahma Sarovar. We will have no idea if it's accurate or not unless there's a source there. I do hope this doesn't discourage you from future editing. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 17:33, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

Removed content
Hi HickoryOughtShirt?4
Yes, I did remove it because the link under References did not lead to Larry Kent's IMDb.com profile as stated on the link. The link actually led to the film Aces Wild (1933) not to the page shown on the text for the link.
The next section where it says External Links is the correct link that leads to his IMDb.com profile.
I am new at removals, I work on IMDB.com mostly and occasionally fix things on Wikipedia if I come across them. I would like to know please, if one were to remove something on Wikipedia, where do you note the reason why because when I had the screen open, there was no space to write and of course, no delete button
so I simply erased the bad link and clicked SAVE and PUBLISH - nowhere to put an explanation.
I am updating Larry Kent's biography on IMDb.com because the existing bio downplayed his contribution and fails to mention that he lived with Natalie Talmadge for a number of years.
Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:9000:8906:8900:DCBC:D03D:FBD3:B076 (talk) 03:24, 25 June 2020 (UTC)

- I warned the IP. Technically RonBerteling isn't block evading because the soft block I used does allow him to edit under a new account but I'll keep an eye out. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 22:51, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
- Interesting page blanking here. Flibirigit (talk) 23:23, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
- I know but he's allowed to blank his talk page. I'll just take it as he's read it. He's still blocked. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 23:24, 27 June 2020 (UTC)

Kaitlyn Lin
Hi. I tagged the article Kaitlyn Lin for speedy deletion yesterday on the grounds it was purely promotional, and you subsequently deleted the article. The creator of the original article has recreated the article today with, as much as I can tell, the same content. I'm not sure what the correct procedure for dealing with this is? Regards. --John B123 (talk) 12:25, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
- John B123, I've blocked them as a spam/advert only account. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 21:32, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for doing that. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 21:35, 28 June 2020 (UTC)

The article Asim Riaz has been protected by you on February 16. It cannot be edited or created for that reason. I would be great if you provide me the Administrator Access. Siriandstuffs (talk) 17:39, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
- No. This article has been AfD'd and deleted numerous times. I suggest you spend your energy elsewhere. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 18:15, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
