Hi

I am the Australian Distributor for Cape Advance Vehicles GT40 replica car. I noticed that there was no link to CAV's website so I added it a couple of times but it kept disappearing and it seems that you removed it. If you go to https://www.capeadvancedvehicles.com/ you will see that it is the company that Wiki is referring to. We would appreciate it if you could add the link.

Regards

Paul — Preceding unsigned comment added by GT40 Australasia (talkcontribs) 06:34, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi GT40 Australasia (or Paul) and welcome to Wikipedia. The reason your link keeps getting removed is because Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline (WP:EL) and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 06:39, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

OK thanks for the reply however I don't really understand it.. there are plenty of links on that page to all sorts of businesses including direct competitors like Southern GT so it seems unfair that some can have links and others can't. GT40 Australasia (talk) 07:59, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

I am not sure what you are referring to, GT40 Australasia. You were trying to paste a link in the body of the article to send users to your site. I do not see that similar scenario anywhere else in the article. If you do come across that, please remove it. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 08:01, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

About wiki page of S.R.Kathir

Hi , Thank you for the note. the info I have is 100% fact about him and I have reliable friends and family who is updating me on the info. I need your help to add the info that is needed to prove it is true. Let me know what I have to do. I also I am new to the wiki and I was using kanagaorganic and forgot my password so created this new user and doing it. thank you again, waiting to hear from you and I know the data I provided is true and correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kanagaorganic1 (talkcontribs) 14:40, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi Kanagaorganic1 and welcome to Wikipedia. I encourage you to re-read the message that I sent you, specifically the part that states "avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors." Unfortunately, you are not a reliable source and all content on Wikipedia must be verifiable. The burden is on you to provide these sources (they don't even have to be in English). If you can find reliable sources (see WP:RS to find out what Wikipedia considers reliable) then please propose changes on the articles talk page (Talk:S. R. Kathir) but do not re-add this material without first proposing changes and disclosing your conflict of interest. You disclose your conflict of interest by adding {{UserboxCOI}} to your user page (click the red link of your signature) and adding in the person you have a COI with. Radio station user name

Check out this change. Flibirigit (talk) 23:11, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

@Flibirigit: While I'm going to assume it's correct, I don't have a stable connection to the internet to do much more than report this user to WP:UAA at the moment. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 23:27, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
@Flibirigit: I have removed clearly slanderous (unsourced) information (likely by someone with a vendetta against the team) and have added in sources for the information that user added. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 05:32, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

Vacation notice

I will be out of the country from Wednesday until Monday. I don't anticipate any editing while away. If you could, please follow-up on Template:Did you know nominations/Rachel Koopmans, and add Template:Did you know nominations/IIHF Hall of Fame to your watchlist if there any concerns while I am gone. Thanks again for everything you have helped with. Flibirigit (talk) 05:58, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

Not a problem, enjoy your vacation. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 05:59, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

Newspaper archives citation template

I thought you might be able to use this: <ref name="x">{{cite news|title=|last=|first=|date=|newspaper=|location=|page=|url=}}{{free access}}</ref>

In the URL field, cut and paste the broswer address after you have made a clipping. Flibirigit (talk) 22:13, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
Thanks. So far I've been using the one from Wikipedia:Newspaperarchive.com. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 22:15, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

Did I mess up?

I hope I didn't mess anything up. My first ever WIKI edit lol! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Doughboy7112 (talkcontribs) 06:36, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

Hello Doughboy7112 and welcome to Wikipedia. You didn't mess up, don't worry, it was more about how we don't format content like this. All content should be written formally (such as, don't use all caps) and please tell, don't link. As in, you should put the content into your own words instead of just pasting a link. But please don't worry about possibly messing up, Wikipedia has a learning curve to editing and all it takes is practice. Your heart was in the right place. I strongly recommend checking out the links on the Welcome message I sent you, especially Wikipedia:The_Wikipedia_Adventure. As well, be sure to check out the WP:TEAHOUSE, a help desk for new editors like yourself.HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 06:43, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

Thank you very much for allowing to learn how to edit things. I have a d will review as much info as i can swallow before I get edit happy lol.

DYK for Helen Brownlee

On 6 April 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Helen Brownlee, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Order of Australia recipient Helen Brownlee was the first woman to be elected as one of the vice presidents of the Australian Olympic Committee? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Helen Brownlee. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Helen Brownlee), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Daulat Ram College- Vandalism.

Hey! I've been updating my college's page from past 2 days. The knowledge is true to my knowledge and proper references to the college websites are provided. But, still my edits are reverted back to the original. What is the problem? Article name: Daulat Ram College Devalpreksha (talk) 16:42, 8 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi Devalpreksha and welcome to Wikipedia. No where in this edit are references provided. All content on Wikipedia must be verifable from reliable sources. Also, If you are paid directly or indirectly by the organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 16:43, 8 April 2019 (UTC)

I've not been paid, there's no written agreement as such. Does that mean i cannot edit the page? I'll provide the references. Devalpreksha (talk) 16:52, 8 April 2019 (UTC)

@Devalpreksha: I see now that the content you added was copied directly from the school's website. Please understand that Wikipedia has very strict copyright policies and all content must be stated in your own words (except for very specific circumstances). I also see you say you are a student of this school. Is this for a school project? HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 16:57, 8 April 2019 (UTC)

Idaho Power

Hi there, I tried updating the Idaho Power wikipedia page with more current information, but my changes were rejected. It reverted to an old version with outdated information, such as an old CEO and old data about our energy usage from more than a decade ago. I do work for Idaho Power and am solely interested in providing accurate information. At the minimum, can you revert the page back to the last version before today? I would also appreciate any advice you have for how I can make edits to the page, as I'm unaware of the best process. Thank you.

Maria Willacy Communications Specialist [REDACTED] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.76.195.6 (talk) 20:12, 8 April 2019 (UTC)

Hello IP (or Maria) and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for being upfront about my question. I have removed the personal information you have added here for your own safety and I do not plan on discussing this off-wiki. I will not re-add your edits as they fail our verifiability policy and were unambiguously promotional.
The BEST process is to stop editing. Wikipedia strongly discourages paid editing and the best way to avoid being blocked etc. is to just let some of Wikipedia's thousands of volunteer editors (with no conflict of interest) edit the page. That is the best advice I can give someone with a COI. You should also read over our paid and conflict of interest editing policies.
Regardless if you feel the need to ignore my good advice above, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Following this, you should make WP:Edit requests on the articles talk page. Let me make this very clear: Wikipedia strongly discourages paid editing. Volunteer editors are often resentful when paid editors ask for help because they say that they "need" it for their clients. The encyclopedia doesn't need to help your clients, even if your clients need business, which they can find by advertising on their own web sites. So follow the advice that I have given. Us volunteer editors will be glad to answer questions about Wikipedia policies and guidelines, and we will review your submissions. It is your job to write your submissions verifiably and neutrally.HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 20:17, 8 April 2019 (UTC)

I'll add citations to the Intelliquip page.

Hi Hickory,

I'll add references soon, just updating a 10 year old page and the existing links don't work anymore.

Once I do so, will the page be clear to publish?

Thank you, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Benstutzman (talkcontribs) 16:46, 8 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi Benstutzman and welcome to Wikipedia. Not really because you have a very obvious conflict of interest with this page that you have yet to declare. If you are paid directly or indirectly by the organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page. Then, you must make WP:Edit requests on the articles talk page. This is the only way the community is comfortable with paid editing. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 16:48, 8 April 2019 (UTC)

I'll fill out whatever forms you need and disclose that I'm an employee of the company.

I'm an employee of the company who was asked to update this by the CEO. When I use Google Ads to promote our business, it sometimes pulls from Wikipedia, giving an old company name and information. (Imagine your hockey articles came up as 10 years old, you'd want to update.)

So what I'm trying to do is provide accurate information, which I will cite. Although we have a medium sized client base, I don't think we have a "fan base" passionate enough to write a Wikipedia article. So that falls to me.

Please understand that Wikipedia is not Google and we do not control Google results. What you need to follow to disclose your Conflict of Interest (COI) is WP:COIPAYDISCLOSE. Copy and paste what I listed bellow to your userpage (click the redlink where your username is):

{{connected contributor (paid)}}

and this to the article's talk page:

{{Connected contributor (paid)|User1=Username of the paid editor|U1-employer=Name of person/organization that is paying for the edits|U1-client= Name of client|U1-otherlinks=Insert diff to disclosure on the article.}}

And make WP:Edit requests. As well, please understand that Wikipedia is strongly against paid editing. We (me and the Wiki community) are amateurs in the archaic sense of that word, people engaged in an activity "for love". However, we amateur editors do resent that paid editors write non-neutrally, displaying obvious bias toward their clients, and writing promotionally, and neutral point of view is one of the five pillars of Wikipedia, and is non-negotiable. The encyclopedia doesn't need to help your clients, even if your clients need business, which they can find by advertising on their own web sites. So follow the advice that I have given. Your submissions will be reviewed by amateur editors, but you cannot expect that we will clean up your submissions to make them neutral or remove promotional content. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 17:03, 8 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi Hickory,

Thank you for the prompt reply. What I what I mean by "you changed my mind" was you got me thinking about the purpose of Wikipedia and neutral, democratic access information. I'm telling you had a really good point and you got me thinking. I will use the channels you recommend and revise. Thank you, have a good day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Benstutzman (talkcontribs) 20:12, 9 April 2019 (UTC)

@Benstutzman: Well I'm glad you took in my messages above. I know Wikipedia has a learning curve and I don't expect you to know all of Wikipedia policies right off the bat. Thank you for agreeing to use the appropriate channels. We are all volunteers here so I will try and respond to any changes you propose in a timely matter. Have a good day as well. Laura Bretan

Hello thank you for writing and informing me why you deleted my editing. My claim is based on a general reference, all people in Romania have the same opinion I have expressed, including newspapers, social media celebrities and official personalities. Everyone has responded to this unfair treatment that Laura received from the gay members of the jurin. From the start, Laura was by far their number one, until a video recording was released where Laura expressed herself about the core family ... after that, she was stuffed in the freezer by gay jury. I have nothing against gays they have the right to love who they want, but right should be right even if it is politically sensitive topic.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to express my point of view Sincerely Mileson60 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mileson60 (talkcontribs) 18:05, 11 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi Mileson60 and welcome to Wikipedia. All content on Wikipedia needs to be reliably sourced. Your addition seems to be speculation (maybe from a fan forum etc.) and was written from a not so neutral point of view. I recommend bringing this to Talk:Laura Bretan with a lot of reliable sources (check out WP:RS to find out what Wikipedia considers reliable) and discuss with other editors before re-adding this back in. If you have further questions, don't be afraid to ask me here or at the WP:TEAHOUSE, a help desk for new editors. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 17:54, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi Mdreddy407 and welcome to Wikipedia. All content on Wikipedia, but especially those about living people, must be sourced to reliable sources per our biography of living people policy. The content you added was not only unsourced but very contentious and possibly defamatory. Please understand that you cannot add any content without reliable sources backing it up to verify it, per our policies. You also removed sourced content to add in your contentious, unsourced content. That is also unconstructive. Please bring reliable source to Talk:N. Chandrababu Naidu and discuss these edits. Regarding page deletion

Hi HickoryOughtShirt,

First of all sorry for the trouble that my article was not able to comply with the wiki guidelines. My First article is live and it was perfect. I didn't know the second wiki article would be more of marketing than in generic. I have currently revamped the content can you help me out whether it is the perfect one or not?

Thanks and Regards --Mayabhai7868 (talk) 11:24, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi Mayabhai7868 and welcome to Wikipedia. You should submit your revamped article through Wikipedia:Your first article where experienced editors can approve/critique it. Creating articles on Wikipedia is hard. I didn't create my first article until I was editing consistently for a few months. I would read over the page I linked above which also gives tips on how to write good articles. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 20:39, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

derrick Henry

remove derrick Henry from the July 17 famous birthdays — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.100.191.64 (talk) 21:42, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi IP and welcome to Wikipedia. I can't control what Famous Birthdays says and I do not know why his birthday is listed wrong there. What I do know is that famous birthdays is not considered a reliable source. His official profile from the Titans ([1]) is. I cannot control what famous birthdays says but regardless, Wikipedia only goes off of what reliable sources say (see WP:RS). HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 21:45, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

if derrick Henry's birthday is January 4 why is he on the July 17 famous birthdays. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.100.191.64 (talk) 21:53, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

Again, I don't know but Wikipedia only goes off of reliable sources. I am willing to take his official NFL profile as more reliable than Famous Birthdays. Please see this link which explains why Wikipedia discredits Famous Birthdays as reliable. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 21:57, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
He even states on Twitter here his birthday is January 4. If you can, try bringing this problem up with the Famous Birthday staff. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 22:05, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

Avenir Centre in Moncton

There's no article for the Avenir Centre in Moncton, New Brunswick. It's the new home arena of the Moncton Wildcats. Are you interested? Flibirigit (talk) 03:08, 14 March 2019 (UTC)

Sure, I can try my best. I applying to see if I can access NewspaperARCHIVE.com which might be helpful here. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 03:21, 14 March 2019 (UTC)
Newspapers are good for older things that pre-date the internet :-) I am old enough to remember that time well. Flibirigit (talk) 03:24, 14 March 2019 (UTC)
@Flibirigit: A time of floppy disks, Microfiche, and easier airport security . No, I am aware that it might not help with this arena but I also noticed some areas were severely lacking in sources (such as Aréna Iamgold which was created in 1951) so I thought it might be helpful there too. As well, I think it would be immensely helpful for the purposes of expanding IIHF Hall of Famers and when researching historical women for Women in Red edit-a-thons (of which I am planning, or plan to attend, many of this year). HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 03:29, 14 March 2019 (UTC)
The Newspaperarchives are great for American history. They are not so good for world history unless something was published in the USA. As for Canada, the archives are limited. It's mostly western news. I rely a lot on the Winnipeg Free Press for information. It takes a while to learn how to clip and save. It's worthwhile for that missing history though. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Anne Turyn, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Constance DeJong (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Adminship

And while I'm here .... I was going to say "say, I see a mix of GAs, DYKs, anti-vandalism, CSDs, and fielding queries on your talk page, no trips to ANI ... have you thought about becoming an admin?" then I discovered I already asked you this six months ago. Since then, you've got Quinn Hughes to GA status and have done a bit more article work, and hopefully that experience will have given you some idea of what it's sometimes like to be on "the other side of the fence" as it were. I haven't done a full check, but I don't see any immediate and obvious red flags against running an RfA in the not too distant future. I wonder what TonyBallioni thinks? I'd also like to get 331dot's views, as I think your areas of experience are pretty similar and he waited until he was absolutely ready before running (and then passed with a very high support percentage). Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:47, 27 March 2019 (UTC)

@Ritchie333: I have been approached by a few admins on-Wiki and via email about going for Adminship. I am glad to see you think I have improved but there are some things I am hoping to work on more (ie. improve conflict resolution, doing more AfDs/DYK/GA reviews) before going for RfA. Without completely outing myself, I am working with some educational institutions to plan an edit-a-thon in 2020 (hopefully that goes well!) so I definitely agree that I am expanding my editing abilities beyond vandalism and hockey. Although the tools will be useful when doing vandalism work (which is basically 75%–80% of my work here) I think "the not so distant future" is probably a correct way of looking at it. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 17:57, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
I would concur with Ritchie; I think you would be a great candidate. I find myself just about(if not) always agreeing with your UAA reports which shows (in my opinion at least) you have a good handle on that policy. It appears that you have done more article work than I did(including the aforementioned GA work) which certainly helps. I think that whenever you feel that you are ready, it would be worth it for you to go for it. But either way, keep up the good work that you do around here. :) 331dot (talk) 20:48, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
As far as your AfD stats go, the amount of debates you have contributed to is a little on the low side, but most of your comments match the final result and discussions such as Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mohamad Tiregar are insightful. Anyway, for all my comments about "anyone who wants to be admin but can only fight vandalism shouldn't be one", somebody has got to do it; zzuuzz in particular deserves a medal for putting up with a ton of crap. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 10:39, 28 March 2019 (UTC)
Aww. For the record I am not fighting anyone, just carefully moving the rubbish from the indoor receptacle down the sunny garden path and past all the flowers to the outdoor receptacle. Anyway, there's always plenty of crap to spread around. Come join the fun ;) -- zzuuzz (talk) 20:13, 28 March 2019 (UTC)
And from someone who sits on the same side of the fence as you, Hickory, I'd endorse everything said above and add that I've seldom seen anyone come here and get it, and get it quickly, as you have. You're a pleasure to work with and I hope to see you at RfA in the near future. Thanks for being a Wikipedian. John from Idegon (talk) 22:34, 28 March 2019 (UTC)
Thanks everyone for the support and suggestions. I will take this all into consideration. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 03:13, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
Ritchie333, yes, I’d definitely support this. I’m on a bit of a break rn because of RL stuff, but if there’s an RfA and another nom is needed, I’d be happy to (though, someone else may be better.) TonyBallioni (talk) 04:56, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
Has there been any followup on this @Ritchie333 and MelanieN: we've had plenty of RfBs, but less RfAs for the Bs to close... TonyBallioni (talk) 17:45, 19 April 2019 (UTC)

Canadian television executive

I came across this article for Scott Moore (television executive). Is it something you would be interested in working on?

Sure. I'll probably be able to do some in depth research tomorrow. Sounds like such an interesting guy who doesn't deserve such a shabby article. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 01:35, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
I agree. I hadn't heard of him until today. Here are some suggested sources Flibirigit (talk) 01:51, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
 Done. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 18:55, 23 April 2019 (UTC)

DYK for Bruce Dowbiggin

On 25 April 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Bruce Dowbiggin, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Canadian investigative journalist Bruce Dowbiggin won a Gemini Award for his reporting on National Hockey League pension fraud? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Bruce Dowbiggin. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Bruce Dowbiggin), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Wow, that's a lot of DYKs...

Also good luck on the RFA! I hope you can help make wikipedia a better place uwu --NikkeKatski [Elite] (talk) 17:01, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

RfA over yet? Once it is you'll see that I take a broad view of our revdel policy, and scrubbed those edits to Marlyne Barrett. Drmies (talk) 01:52, 26 April 2019 (UTC)

@Drmies: Ha, unfortunately not yet (and once it does I will first catch up on lost sleep). Thanks for your help. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 01:54, 26 April 2019 (UTC)

Accident

Am I in trouble it was a accident Casey.steffen19 (talk) 21:28, 26 April 2019 (UTC)

Hello Casey.steffen19 and welcome to Wikipedia. You aren't in any kind of trouble, don't worry. It was just a message letting you know you accidentally removed content and should be more careful next time. I don't know if you saw it, but at the bottom of the editing window there is a show preview button. This will allow you to see your changes before publishing them and is a great way to check for mistakes. Wikipedia has a learning curve to editing and all it takes is practice. I strongly recommend checking out Wikipedia:The Wikipedia Adventure as well as the WP:TEAHOUSE, a help desk for new editors like yourself. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 21:32, 26 April 2019 (UTC)

DYK for Virginia Overton

— Maile (talk) 00:02, 26 April 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for the good nomination! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:01, 26 April 2019 (UTC)

Gerda Arendt Ha, thanks for reviewing it! HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 16:15, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
My pleasure. I'd have preferred the other hook, but in the end, it probably doesn't matter. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:24, 26 April 2019 (UTC)

Precious

people from Canada

Thank you for quality articles such as Quinn Hughes, Bruce Dowbiggin and Rachel Koopmans, for fighting vandalism and lack of sources, for nominating articles for others, for patiently explaining things such as COI to newcomers encouraging them, for willingness to do more dirty jobs, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!

--Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:59, 28 April 2019 (UTC)

Oh my goodness, thank you! I hope you know, Gerda Arendt, that your hard work is also appreciated. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 07:00, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
I do know appreciation, but don't know what hard work means, - voluntary and sweet ;) - What's hard, perhaps, is that respected people seem to die faster and faster, with articles in bad shape or no article at all, and my choice of what to write next is limited. I am so happy that at least in one case I managed the article for the 90th birthday, as a surprise gift. He said then that some day we'd have to talk about it more. We can't. Birthday pictured here, - image up for deletion because of art on the walls. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:14, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
@Gerda Arendt: That is an unexpected surprise. I'm currently trying to fill the (many) missing pages of women who were elected Fellows of the Royal Society of Canada and Elmer Ferguson Memorial Award winners. I might move onto filling the Royal Society next. Writing about hockey players can get pretty repetitive. There are only so many ways one can make it to the National Hockey League and American Hockey League. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 07:19, 28 April 2019 (UTC)

DYK nomination of Wenona Giles

Hello! Your submission of Wenona Giles at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! David Eppstein (talk) 06:04, 28 April 2019 (UTC)

Question

Hello, Wondering why the edits that I'd made on Anil Yashwant Tipnis were removed by you. I'd added citation and references to the edits.

Zwerubae (talk) 04:51, 23 March 2019 (UTC)ZwerubaeZwerubae (talk) 04:51, 23 March 2019 (UTC)

Zwerubae I apologize on that. The links were not opening for me yesterday and I have had cases where people purposely input wrong links and pretend content is sourced. I am not very technologically savvy but they are working now and I have undone my edit. Thank you for bringing this to me. By the way, just a helpful tip, if you are using the same reference through the article you may find this helpful. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 05:01, 23 March 2019 (UTC)
