Canadian marines
Could I ask you to revert back in the Canadian section in the article on Marines if I promise to immediately provide references? Bluenose Gunner (talk) 18:34, 26 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Bluenose Gunner: You're more than welcome to re-add the content with references and it's great that you want to. You can check out this page's history here to retrieve any content that has been removed. Hey man im josh (talk) 19:05, 26 July 2022 (UTC)
- Could you do the revert to the last "Canadian" version and I will add the refs? I do not know how to do reversion with a smart phone Bluenose Gunner (talk) 19:15, 26 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Bluenose Gunner I've undone the edit. Have at 'er! Hey man im josh (talk) 19:16, 26 July 2022 (UTC)

- Thanks so much @Stephanie921, I really appreciate the Barnstar, they're absolutely wonderful to receive =) Hey man im josh (talk) 12:52, 28 July 2022 (UTC)

- Thank you, I appreciate the intent and effort to be helpful, but it's actually 11 Barnstars, a goat, coffee, and a brownie, so I'm only counting the Barnstars in that box. Hey man im josh (talk) 18:32, 28 July 2022 (UTC)

Abortion in Vermont
That IP address at that talk page is threatening to file a Stonewalling complaint if they get reverted again. They've been misusing the policies to threaten people and said that since no-one responded to them they can revert the page. They also harassed me on my talk page. What do you suggest we do? I don't think this counts as Canvassing - since this isn't about wanting a desired outcome - but is rather about that IP violating the rules to get their own way Stephanie921 (talk) 14:13, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
- While I wouldn't say that their message on your talk page was harassment or threatening, I can understand why you might feel that way.
- I've written up a few replies to you today and I keep deleting them because I just don't know the best way to help in this instance and I don't want to steer you down the wrong path. Yes, the user is in dispute with several editors, but I can't point to anything to say that they're in the wrong. They're clearly knowledgeable on Wiki policy, more so than I am. As I advised VictimofEntropy, I think your best bet is to seek help from editors more experienced than I am at the WP:Villagepump or WP:Dispute resolution.
- So long as you're editing based on good faith and you listen to feedback from administrators, I wouldn't be too concerned about them creating a post in WP:ANI. You may not like the end result, but unfortunately that's just how it goes sometimes. Hey man im josh (talk) 18:29, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
- I thought it was harassment because they keep on acting as if I'm obligated to reply to them instantly and reverting their edits when I don't. They used me making other edits to justify that, when I hadn't even said I wasn't going to reply to them - I just edited other pages after their messages to me - and they used that as an excuse to try and mischaracterise my behaviour
and revert their edits even though I'm not obligated to respond to them before I edit other pages I reverted the first harassing instance on my talk but they then pinged me on my page to the Abortion in Vermont talk message threatening everybody. I have not reverted that ping Stephanie921 (talk) 14:14, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
Ooh btw, I noticed you kept calling me 'they' when talking to FishAndChipper about me - so I'd like to clarify that my pronouns are she/her :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stephanie921 (talk • contribs) 15:08, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
- I sometimes prefer to just go the easy route and call everybody a they. Makes it easier personally, but I appreciate you reaching out to clarify. Hey man im josh (talk) 17:59, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
- Oh ok, that's fair enough Josh. I thought u just didn't know my pronouns :) In that case you can call me they if u like Stephanie921 (talk) 18:02, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
why did you edit my sex worker again?
any reason? Volkan1881 (talk) 16:28, 28 July 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for the feedback Josh. Sorry, I don't have a specific citation, but I can't believe nobody has said it before. It's rather obvious, isn't it? 174.51.103.111 (talk) 17:09, 28 July 2022 (UTC)

Sorry, I am from Poland and I did not know how to use wikipedia in another language - my error He writes from a translator Mam na imie Piotr 2A00:F41:2CDE:7B3B:64FD:B89:8C75:F6B7 (talk) 20:36, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
- Perhaps it's best to stick to editing on the Polish Wiki if you need to use a translator, and that translator is somehow accidently mass deleting content. Hey man im josh (talk) 20:47, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
Template:Kansas City Chiefs roster
Hey please be careful when reverting. I don't know if it was an accident or intentional but the Carlos Dunlap transaction is official. The Chiefs announced it this afternoon.--Rockchalk717 23:28, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Rockchalk717, sorry about that, it was definitely accidental. You always know what's what for NFL templates and pages and I wouldn't have removed your edit intentionally. I don't even bother to fact check your changes because they're always right lol. One edit too far back when restoring >.< Hey man im josh (talk) 01:11, 29 July 2022 (UTC)

Arnold Lodge School edit
Hello!
I noticed that you removed my edit for ALS as above, saying that it wasn’t an improvement and it wasn’t sourced. How would I go about sourcing such a thing? There are multiple job sites with reviews that say the same thing about the place, but I don’t know if that counts.
I would also have to disagree about if not bring an improvement, as I think seeing as it is true then just because it isn’t a good thing I don’t see why it’s not improving and adding to the content on the page.
All the best! InsidiousHappenings (talk) 06:45, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
- Job review websites typically wouldn't be considered reliable sources. They would also fall under opinions and bias that's usually removed from articles. Hey man im josh (talk) 12:09, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
I hear what you are saying. I don’t think I’ll be able to source this one. I know it to be true, but I can’t find a good source. I would however like to discuss you saying my content wasn’t adding anything. That is an opinion, and I don’t think that opinions should be a part of the moderating process. If opinions are part of any moderating process, certain viewpoints can be favoured over others and should not fall into the decision making process. Thanks for your time. InsidiousHappenings (talk) 09:48, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
- Mentioning that there's been higher than normal turnover at a school really isn't relevant to an encyclopedia. It's giving undue weight to a subject that most, frankly, don't care about unless they're local. If they're local, and it's relevant to them, they likely already know. It's like mentioning that people in a city really like a certain restaurant in the area, is that really an improvement? Hey man im josh (talk) 20:57, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
Senior LPGA Championship
Yeah i wasn't sure if keeping the location map was necessary only because of the tournament potentially moving to a different site each year. Maybe just have a location map of all the sites, but we'll see. 98.186.148.50 (talk) 14:42, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
Wade Burleson
You corrected an "undo" by BestOkieHistory on the Wade Burleson Wikipedia page, then later stated it was in "error." I worked hard on sourcing the Sexual Abuse Case of the Southern Baptist Convention, having primary sources attached to the article on Wade Burleson, who led the fight. I'm not sure why BestOkieHistory deleted my work, but it is very frustrating. In looking through the history page of Wade Burleson, it seems BestOkieHistory has deleted primary source material on several occasions. Thank you for your fight against vandalism, and I would ask that you keep your eye on BestOkieHistory. SamBullion (talk) 22:21, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @SamBullion, I undid an edit because I thought they were a sockpuppet of another user. I created a sockpuppet investigation but quickly realized I was incorrect in my belief, so I restored the edit which I reverted, as the reason for my revert was no longer valid.
- For the content dispute, as it appears to be, you should ping them from the talk page of the article to discuss their changes. Wikipedia is a collaborative effort and sometimes discussions need to be had. Hey man im josh (talk) 21:00, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
Coaching trees
Josh, we've had extensive discussion about coaching trees in the past. Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject College football/Coaching trees. Jweiss11 (talk) 21:41, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Jweiss11, thank you for the link, I'll add it to my references in case this ever comes up again. I've skimmed through it and there was a lot of good discussion had about this. Given my knowledge of their work and experience in the area, I typically always defer to CBL62, Eagles247, and Bagumba, all of whom opposed the mass addition of coaching trees, and all of whom made valid points that I agreed with. Thanks again for bringing this up, I'll start self-reverting. Hey man im josh (talk) 21:51, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks. If you can find multiple, reliable sources explicitly discussing a given coach's tree, that's fair game for inclusion, but it should be well-sourced. I would focused the highly influential, innovating, and hall of fame type coaches first. Jweiss11 (talk) 22:01, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
Isiah Pacheco

- It was, and I'm a little disappointed. Primefac (talk) 11:15, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Primefac, thank you for merging the histories. I've grown a lot over the last two months on Wiki since doing that, branching outwards and trying new things, and that was around the time I started doing so. Unfortunately part of that is I've made some mistakes, it's been a part of the growing process. I feel ashamed over that, I'm not sure why I'd be so stupid as to copy-and-paste move, but I can tell you that my intention and goal is always to not make the same mistake twice. Luckily I'm pretty confident that's the only page I've done that with due to a special circumstance. I now understand the process for copy-and-paste moves and merges as I had a discussion about it not too long ago with another admin. Hey man im josh (talk) 12:05, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
- No worries. To be honest I didn't look at the date, so if it was a while ago that makes a bit more sense. Live and learn, eh? Primefac (talk) 12:16, 1 August 2022 (UTC)

- I've seen plenty of more experienced editors cut and paste. It's the obvious way to move a page, far easier both to discover and to carry out than requesting an admin to remove the destination page. In fact, I'm amazed it doesn't happen more often. Certes (talk) 19:00, 1 August 2022 (UTC)

- Thanks lol. I never understood how people were beating me to revert constantly until I got Huggle. There's a bit of a learning curve, but once you get used to it it makes things a whole lot easier and efficient. Unfortunately you can't use the program properly if you don't have rollback. It looks like you do a good job of warning users after a revert, if you're interested in fighting vandalism I highly encourage you to apply for rollback permissions and then eventually try Huggle out. Even if you don't succeed in your application, the responding admins are usually great at helping people understand where they need to improve in order to get the permission. - One thing I want to note though. In looking at the edit history, it appears you submitted the article for review with no changes made since it was moved to the draft space. You should flush it out further and add more information that proves notability. If it wasn't ready for the main space before, why would it be ready now with no changes made? Hey man im josh (talk) 00:59, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
no problem
Hi, thanks for the message. it's interesting how quickly you reacted to edits to a Pelosi page. The reason i started editing is because i noticed several people who had "right-wing extremist" or "white supremacist" and other such specifically NON neutral tags that i figured it would only be fair to make sure these labels were being evenly distributed. I agree with you that wikipedia should be a neutral and informational website & i hope you will apply your standards evenly. I also think that you are missing lots of important details to Mr. Pelosi's page & hope that some of these will be included. Thanks. 71.25.108.161 (talk) 14:33, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
i left several facts on Mr. Pelosi's page that are easily verifiable. I am again interested as to why you are so quick to blanch Mr. Pelosi's page... 71.25.108.161 (talk) 14:43, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
- Are you implying I'm somehow affiliated with Pelosi or have an agenda to push? Your edits simply jumped to the top of vandalism queue on the Huggle program that I use.
- In my revert I mentioned you should provide reliable sources as citations and stick to a neutral tone. To elaborate a bit further;
- "Potentially corrupt" - not neutral and speculative
- "has been implicated by the FBI in 6 cases surrounding fraud and bribery." - no sources provided
- Removed the word "allegedly" from "Pelosi was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol" when it should remain until it's proven or he admits it
- "...who was in a neck brace due to swimming injury & had warned him about driving too fast on the winding road" - no sources provided
- These are just some of the issues I have with your edits. Please review the links, as I reverted your edits based on those policies as well as WP:BLPREMOVE. Hey man im josh (talk) 15:18, 4 August 2022 (UTC)

- That's some good timing, as I finished posting an apology on your user page only to find I had a notification (about this post). You were in the right, but please try to assume good faith moving forward. I believe that everybody who reverted you seemed to be acting in good faith and we all need to work together.

- This is kind of an ongoing shit storm, at least it was until El C protected the article. No one looks good here: almost no one explained in sufficient detail why they removed or restored the information, and almost everyone just seemed to hit "revert" reflexively. It is a good opportunity to reflect on the fact that sometimes it's good to take it slow. Drmies (talk) 17:02, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey, @Drmies, it absolutely is. I think Serols and I were under the same impression of WP:SPOILERS. Unfortunately, with so many edits in a short amount of time, I missed the one edit summary that actually mentioned the show hadn't started yet. If a trout slapping all around was ever deserved, it would be now. Hey man im josh (talk) 17:12, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
- No worries. I'm not looking to break anyone's balls, but it's a valuable learning experience for some editors, I hope. Take care, Drmies (talk) 17:20, 4 August 2022 (UTC)

- The show hasn't even aired yet, and we don't even know if the "spoiler" is real or not. It could easily be fake - something similar happened on the page for Season 2 of the British version. 92.11.191.227 (talk) 16:52, 4 August 2022 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – August 2022
News and updates for administrators from the past month (July 2022).
- An RfC has been closed with consensus to add javascript that will show edit notices for editors editing via a mobile device. This only works for users using a mobile browser, so iOS app editors will still not be able to see edit notices.

- The Wikimania 2022 Hackathon will take place virtually from 11 August to 14 August.
- Administrators will now see links on user pages for "Change block" and "Unblock user" instead of just "Block user" if the user is already blocked. (T308570)
- The arbitration case request Geschichte has been automatically closed after a 3 month suspension of the case.
- You can vote for candidates in the 2022 Board of Trustees elections from 16 August to 30 August. Two community elected seats are up for election.

Muqattaʿat
Hi Josh,
You removed my edit that was meant to provide some understanding to a section. Apparently there is some need to clarify that section, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Muqatta%CA%BFat#Modern_Research — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.93.27.208 (talk • contribs)
- Hey @176.93.27.208, the issue is that the content that you added needs a reliable source (WP:CITE, WP:RS) added along with your text. Hey man im josh (talk) 14:40, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
About Kostroma
- Hello! The fact is that Slavic paganism does not know such a deity as Kostroma. She is a rather late ritual character.
However, in the neo-pagan environment, there is a widespread tendency to pass off folklore characters as Slavic deities. The plot presented in the article is a falsification of Asov, one of the main neo-pagan figures, who composes "Slavic myths" and passes them off as ancient. In particular, he based the story about Kupala and Kostroma on a folk legend about the twins Ivan and Marya. And in general, not one whole Slavic myth of this size has come down to us, only their small fragments and echoes in epics. Perhaps my phrases sound a little incorrect, since I write through a translator. - Эйга-фридур (talk) 07:43, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
New Page Patrol newsletter August 2022
Hello Hey man im josh,
- Backlog status
After the last newsletter (No.28, June 2022), the backlog declined another 1,000 to 13,000 in the last week of June. Then the July backlog drive began, during which 9,900 articles were reviewed and the backlog fell by 4,500 to just under 8,500 (these numbers illustrate how many new articles regularly flow into the queue). Thanks go to the coordinators Buidhe and Zippybonzo, as well as all the nearly 100 participants. Congratulations to Dr vulpes who led with 880 points. See this page for further details.
Unfortunately, most of the decline happened in the first half of the month, and the backlog has already risen to 9,600. Understandably, it seems many backlog drive participants are taking a break from reviewing and unfortunately, we are not even keeping up with the inflow let alone driving it lower. We need the other 600 reviewers to do more! Please try to do at least one a day.
- Coordination
- MB and Novem Linguae have taken on some of the coordination tasks. Please let them know if you are interested in helping out. MPGuy2824 will be handling recognition, and will be retroactively awarding the annual barnstars that have not been issued for a few years.
- Open letter to the WMF
- The Page Curation software needs urgent attention. There are dozens of bug fixes and enhancements that are stalled (listed at Suggested improvements). We have written a letter to be sent to the WMF and we encourage as many patrollers as possible to sign it here. We are also in negotiation with the Board of Trustees to press for assistance. Better software will make the active reviewers we have more productive.
- TIP - Reviewing by subject
- Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages by their most familiar subjects can do so from the regularly updated sorted topic list.
- New reviewers
- The NPP School is being underused. The learning curve for NPP is quite steep, but a detailed and easy-to-read tutorial exists, and the Curation Tool's many features are fully described and illustrated on the updated page here.
- Reminders
- Consider staying informed on project issues by putting the project discussion page on your watchlist.
- If you have noticed a user with a good understanding of Wikipedia notability and deletion, suggest they help the effort by placing
{{subst:NPR invite}}
on their talk page. - If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process and its software.
- To opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself here.

Help with Vandalism on Canadian Psychological Association page
Hello HMIJ, I appreciated you correcting the mass-blanking (vandalism) by CPA consultants and affiliates a couple months ago when they removed 5 entire sections from the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) page. Those sections were unflattering for CPA but were well-documented showing deception and policies for healthcare workers that actually allowed them to harm and kill people. Under the section on Warfare and The Use of Torture, the American Psychological Association (APA) page shows that APA got in a lot of trouble for the same deception, policies and harm against human beings. (And those APA sections have not been deleted.)
Within the last 24 hours, the CPA page has again had the same five sections (1.1 - 1.5) completely deleted. I think this is the 9th time it has happened. This time it was by an editor named Wugapodes, who seems to have made hundreds of edits on Wikipedia, and has a long list of contributors he has blocked. I don't want him simply to block me, if I try to correct the historical record on the CPA page, while responding to his concerns. I am sure you know more about how this works than I do; are you able to look into whether his mass-blanking to completely erase that whole history was acceptable (or is again vandalism)? Thanks a lot! PsycProf (talk) 22:07, 6 August 2022 (UTC)

- I have not even made any changes yet, and Wugapodes has already threatened to block me, on his Talk page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Wugapodes PsycProf (talk) 12:10, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @PsycProf, you should definitely listen to what Wugapodes is saying to you. They're an extremely experienced user/administrator. Hey man im josh (talk) 10:56, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for your comment HMIJ. It was just concerning to see Wugapodes delete the entire 5 sections, claiming that it was (in part) because of a non-neutral point of view (and threatening to block me before I even responded!). Wugapodes has not responded to my replies that it was factual well-documented historical information. His claim that discussions of The Nazi Doctors book re medical ethics is a non-neutral point of view is like saying that the Wikipedia coverage of The Holocaust is a non-neutral point of view. In any case, although Wugapodes may have been heavy-handed and sarcastic in his explanations, I appreciate all the helpful comments that others have provided about this. I will start by re-adding a short section in the CPA history, with solid published references. Thanks again! PsycProf (talk) 19:58, 14 August 2022 (UTC)

Why not a {{db-author}}
? Cheers Adakiko (talk) 10:59, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Adakiko, I had always seen it as a tag that should be used on your own page and not other's pages. However, I just read up on the G7 tag and there was some language I hadn't remembered about it.
If the sole author blanks a page other than a userspace page, a category page, or any type of talk page, this can be taken as a deletion request.
- You're right, even though technically G3 is accurate, G7 would have been more appropriate. Thanks for asking, I'm still working on getting better at taking pages with CSD tags and it helped me learn. Hey man im josh (talk) 11:07, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
- I was just curious if you had a specific reason for the db-g3. That's all. The db-g3 resulted in the page being deleted. Justlettersandnumbers deleted it as db-g7. Cheers! Adakiko (talk) 12:26, 15 August 2022 (UTC)

Roy Hamilton
Hi, the information I received about Elvis Presley and his estate sending money to Roy Hamilton’s widow Myrna every year until the 2000’s comes from one of Roy’s grandsons on Lipstick Alley. This is the comment I’m referencing:
"But what I will say is that Elvis always made it clear on how much of an influence he was on his vocals and delivery, especially on ballads. He apparently felt so indebted to him that when my grandfather died unexpectedly, he started secretly sending money yearly to my grandmother. He never mentioned it when he called or visited her. It appeared to be from the record label as royalties but she only learned it was him after his death due to the estate informing her. That money didn't stop until the 2000s, decades from when it began.
Was this due to him feeling guilty for his financial success knowing my grandfather and other black artists should've been just as financially successful as he was? Possibly but it is what it is. Take that for what it's worth."
Unfortunately there’s not an article this quote is featured in. But I’m not making it up. Is it possible for this information to still be included in the article? 2601:147:8500:E810:810F:3C49:61A6:D8D5 (talk) 15:49, 15 August 2022 (UTC)

- Hi sorry I’m unable to reply in your comment. I understand about needing a source. But in the part about Elvis sending flowers to Roy’s widow, would it not be okay to briefly mention Elvis started sending money to her as well? I wouldn’t get detailed by mentioning it. 2601:147:8500:E810:810F:3C49:61A6:D8D5 (talk) 16:02, 15 August 2022 (UTC)

CSD G13s
Hello, Hey man im josh,
Since you have been regularly tagging expiring drafts, I thought I'd share with you one peculiarity with them that is coming up at the end of the month. Because we are working on a six month time lag and the months of the year have varying days (from 28 to 31), there are months when we have days that there will be no tagging and there are months when we tag drafts from 2 or more days on the last day of the month. In August, it is the former. February normally has 28 days so that means on August 29, 30 and 31, there will be no expiring drafts to tag for speedy deletion because there are no corresponding days in the month of February. And, of course, we go by the UTC time clock so, depending on where you live, these UTC days and times may not correspond to your local time. For example, I live on the West Coast of the U.S. so that means I'd stop tagging drafts on Sunday, August 28th at 5 pm PDT (the end of the February 28, 2022 day, UTC time) and start up again on Wednesday, August 31 at 5 pm PDT (the beginning of the September 1, 2022 day, UTC time). And in September, the situation will be reversed as March has 31 days and September has only 30 so we end up with an extra day at the end of the month to tag.
I don't know whether you use the SDZeroBot list or look at Category:AfC G13 eligible soon submissions to find expiring drafts but the distinctions of day and time changes isn't always very clear and it's easy to just move on to the next day's list or the next draft without remembering this monthly quirk we face. So, I'm highlighting it today, two weeks early, just to remind you in advance because tagging expiring drafts seems like it's become part of your daily routine. Thanks again! Liz Read! Talk! 19:21, 16 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Liz, thank you for bringing this up. G13 tagging has indeed become part of my daily routine of tasks and it's great to have that information laid out for me. I so very much appreciate your helpfulness! Hey man im josh (talk) 19:28, 16 August 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Jerome M. Eisenberg
Hello Hey man im josh. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Jerome M. Eisenberg, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A NY Times obit is a credible indication of notability sufficient for A7. Take to AfD if required. . Thank you. GedUK 14:59, 17 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Ged UK, fair enough, thank you for letting me know so that I can avoid making that mistake again. Hey man im josh (talk) 15:00, 17 August 2022 (UTC)
- No worries. The 'keep' bar is lower at CSD, so it only has to be a credible assertion that he's notable (they've won an award, they're in a band that had a hit, etc). The notability requirements are much higher, but they can only be discussed at AfD. GedUK 15:15, 17 August 2022 (UTC)

Good afternoon josh
Dear Josh, so I have created a Wikipedia draft on here, I have no idea how to submit it or send it for review my an experienced author, would you be able to move this into my sandbox so I can send for a review or please do this for me as I have no idea how, Many thanks for reading

- Hey @Mynameismaria, I added the submission template to Draft:Life After War : Iraq (film) for you. If you still want it moved to a sandbox for you just let me know. Hey man im josh (talk) 16:28, 17 August 2022 (UTC)
Thank you Josh for your reply, I may have more articles in the future so will get back to you soon, many thanks & I hope you have a good day Mynameismaria (talk) 16:52, 17 August 2022 (UTC)
- Sure, no problem @Mynameismaria. In the future, if you're missing the draft submission template, you can add {{AfC submission|T}} to the top of an article to add the draft submission template yourself. If you have trouble with it you're welcome to pop back in to ask for a hand. Hey man im josh (talk) 16:57, 17 August 2022 (UTC)
Many Thanks, I have just added some tags I see as relevant regarding this topic, please have a look if you think it’s notable & if you can please let me know what else to do add, thank you Mynameismaria (talk) 17:16, 17 August 2022 (UTC)
Good morning Josh, I have tried to upload a template and I am unable to this for some reason as it won’t hyperlink, would you be able to add a template on this page too
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Zain_Ullah_(actor)
And also please review these both and let me know if I am missing any citations, thank you Josh !!!! Mynameismaria (talk) 13:03, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Mynameismaria, were you trying to copy my text which included tl in the {{AfC submission}} template? Hey man im josh (talk) 13:08, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- Indeed I was, however it just showed on the draft page as text at the top, Many thanks for your reply Mynameismaria (talk) 13:11, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- That makes sense. The "tlp|" portion in front of any template allows me to type/link the template, whereas not included that would embed the template on the page.
- So, in short, include the text {{AfC submission|T}} without the "tlp|" portion at the top of the page and the template will be properly embedded. Hey man im josh (talk) 13:14, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- Indeed I was, however it just showed on the draft page as text at the top, Many thanks for your reply Mynameismaria (talk) 13:11, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
Sure thank you Josh I will try this method as suggested, Also i created the article but for some reason was denied, would you be able to help me out and review this again or advise me on what else to add, thank you

- Hey @Mynameismaria, read the feedback from the decliner. They'll explain why they did not move your draft to the namespace. Hey man im josh (talk) 12:29, 19 August 2022 (UTC)
I think we edit-conflicted, because both of us saw that it was a BLP with no references. I will remove the BLPPROD tag. I don't disagree with you, and was wondering whether to BLPPROD it or draftify it. Carry on with New Page Patrol, thanks. Robert McClenon (talk) 19:36, 17 August 2022 (UTC)

@Hey man im josh: No worries. I have reverted the comments made by this IP 31.133.53.94. Will make sure he is blocked from editing since he is making disruptive edits. Theoder2055 (talk) 13:16, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Theoder2055, just be careful about removing legitimate comments when you do that in the future. I've already reported the user to WP:AIV after issueing a final warning. They're simply refusing to communicate in English. Hey man im josh (talk) 13:18, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
Even though it is considered vandalism since he cannot make such kinds of comments in an articles. That can be in any language also which includes English as well. Theoder2055 (talk) 13:21, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're referring to. I'm referring to you reverting to a point on my talk page and accidently removing this comment made by another user. Hey man im josh (talk) 13:24, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- Sic is the page in which he made comments. And also I came to know that the language the IP used is Russian. You can look at the edits that he made in that page Sic. Please look at the comment here. Theoder2055 (talk) 13:27, 18 August 2022 (UTC)

Irreversible Damage
Hi! I saw that you put the language regarding "not backed by credible science" back in the description of "rapid onset gender dysphoria." Your note says that there are conflicting studies. That's correct. But that's not what the post says, the post says "not backed by credible scienctific evicence." If you want to include, "there are conflicting studies," I think that's correct and a fair revision. Thank you for your consideration. RaySmall88 (talk) 16:25, 18 August 2022 (UTC)

- Josh, I did that. Since you were the one that undid the revisions, it seems that you believe the language is appropriate? RaySmall88 (talk) 19:46, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- Yes I do, and it appears I'm not the only one. As the other editors mentioned, please read the sources attached. Do not try to re-add the content (as you did) until the talk page conversation has run its course and consensus is achieved. Hey man im josh (talk) 12:25, 19 August 2022 (UTC)

It was a mistake, I wanted to try the redwarn then I saw that suitcase option. I thought it will show me then I will press okay before it rollbacks. I wanted to revert my revert but the network was slow and as usual you beat me to it :) UricdivineTalkToMe 13:05, 19 August 2022 (UTC)

- No contest by me on either one @Liz (not sure if you were waiting for any type of reply, sorry if the ping was unnecessary). I created these at one point because some articles, which were likely deleted, had these categories as red links. I anticipated more articles being made that would fit into these cats, but it appears to be WP:TOOSOON since those ones are now gone. Hey man im josh (talk) 01:52, 23 August 2022 (UTC)

- Hey @Hey man im josh, you can ignore this message. This is the second time this has happened to me where I load up a page to be reviewed, the checkmark looks gray, so I click it and for some reason it unreviews a previous reviewer review. Dr vulpes (💬 • 📝) 04:30, 23 August 2022 (UTC)

Reverted edits by 193.235.91.227 (talk): not adhering to neutral point of view (HG) (3.4.10)
Sure, it's somewhat ambiguous. But for reference, the source from 2019 was:
https://liu.se/en/news-item/uppgradering-av-domen-pa-visualiseringscenter-campus-norrkoping---itn "Professor Anders Ynnerman of the Division for Media and Information Technology at LiU, proudly guides the media on the first demonstration of what is probably the world’s best dome for 3D image quality." 193.235.91.227 (talk) 12:01, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @193.235.91.227, subjective statements must include inline citations for verifiability. If you include the source I don't see myself reverting your edit again. See WP:Citing sources for further info on how to cite a source. Hey man im josh (talk) 12:05, 23 August 2022 (UTC)

I see this is a usual shtick for you, calling any edit you're paid to block "POV". Pemberton was a CSA veteran and a morphine addict, and it's in the lede of his own article. Now, if he is to be mentioned at The Coca-Cola Company, are you suggesting that certain facts about the man are verboten? Is this the freedom our forefathers died for? Take a hike, pal. 142.189.96.88 (talk) 13:35, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
- So you're of the mindset that I'm being paid by Coca-Cola because I disagree with you? You're giving undue weight to a single fact about a person. It's completely irrelevant to the article lead that you're trying to introduce it to.
- "Is this the freedom our forefathers died for?" - This did get a chuckle out of me. Hey man im josh (talk) 13:38, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: User:NationalHousingCorporation
Hello Hey man im josh, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User:NationalHousingCorporation, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not really G11. It isn't a for-profit company, it is a govt organization that may meet WP:GNG, its just a draft in user space. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Dennis Brown - 2¢ 11:55, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for reaching out @Dennis Brown. On review, I see how it may not qualify for G11. Are there cases where it's appropriate for a regular user like me to move a user's main page to a draft article?
- Followup, do you think it still would have qualified for CSD under U5? Hey man im josh (talk) 12:00, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
- People use their main user page for drafts all the time, which isn't so bad. I keep all my drafts in my own space, not draft, but not my user page. The username is a violation, so in the end, the account will likely get unused. In cases where username isn't a problem, you can move to draft if it seems to be viable, as this one was. Maybe. Then leave a personal note on their page explaining and offering help. The main thing is the lack of promotional language, which G11 requires. Just as A7 requires a claim of notability. Govt agencies are often notable because the press covers them, so are more often AFD bound instead of CSD bound, if they really are obscure. I don't think you did anything wrong, it just didn't apply. Btw, U5 doesn't really apply here. That is more reserved for people that use their page as a link page for their Twitter, Facebook, Instagram pages and other things that are only related to their off-wiki life, ie: their user page is unrelated to wiki activities and only talks about their off-wiki life. The main takeaway is that CSD is really only for pages that obviously don't belong under the various criteria. It it isn't blindingly obvious, then it doesn't qualify. Dennis Brown - 2¢ 12:10, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the explanation, I'm always glad when an admin reaches out to help clarify something like this for me because it helps me to do better. Hey man im josh (talk) 12:18, 25 August 2022 (UTC)

Slouching toward gamorrah, bork book review
Josh there is no reason to have the review of the libertarian journal, which is obscure, and therefore irrelevant to most people. You put it back because it is attacking a conservatives book so therefore it is good. This is the frequent liberal bias I see too often anymore on Wikipedia. That journal would never give a great review to someone like bork who holds contradictory reviews. Like I said though if it attacks a conservative, it is absolutely necessary to keep in an article. This place is becoming a political organization run by young people who feel the ends justify the means, even if the means are unethical liea and the ends horseshit like your edits 148.59.145.17 (talk) 12:33, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
- I didn't put anything back. I reverted your edit, in which you added, "SO WHAT? THAT JOURNAL REPRESENTS AN OBSCURE VIEWPOINT AND IS IRRELEVANT" on to the end of a paragraph. Weird that you immediately jump to liberal bias when someone simply removed your unnecessary commentary. Hey man im josh (talk) 12:37, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
Von Miller edit reversion
Hello, Josh. I edited a bit in the Von Miller article to make it grammatically correct, but it appears you reverted it. The first change I made was to fix the comma splice after “Dallas”; you can’t connect two independent clauses with just a comma. You need a coordinating conjunction, a semicolon, or a period. (I think a period works best in this instance because the two clauses aren’t too closely related.)
The second change I made (changing “ran track” to “running track”) was to make it parallel with “playing for the DeSoto Eagles.” If you take some things out, it’s easier to see how it’s awkward: “He attended DeSoto High School, playing football and ran track.” To make all the verbs parallel, you could change it to “He attended DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas, where he played for the DeSoto Eagles high school football team and ran track.” That’s probably a better edit than the one I made originally. Jbuc14 (talk) 15:10, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Jbuc14, thanks for your work. I like your second iteration better, that I see you've applied to Von Miller's page already, and I don't intend on reverting it. Hey man im josh (talk) 15:14, 25 August 2022 (UTC)

This section is related and relevant please stop reverting it out
Fun SLS Fact
Despite a nominal increase in overall thrust the SLS used for ARTEMIS I can lift only 27 Metric Tons to the Moon which compares poorly to the Saturn V ability to launch 41 Metric Tons to the moon. Most of the lost lunar transport capacity is caused by increased safety requirements, among other things the much higher weight of the Orion capsule with an additional seat, improved shielding, and miscellaneous equipment along with the corresponding requirement to upgrade the Launch Abort System which itself added an additional 8 tons to the initial lift off weight. 151.166.54.121 (talk) 15:30, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @151.166.54.121, if you believe the section is relevant then you should not giving it a title that includes "fun fact", as it would then be associated with WP:TRIVIA. You're welcome to add it back with an appropriate section title and some reliable sources.
CSD U5s
Hey, Hey man im josh,
If you see a User page that has what is clearly a Draft article on it, even if it is about the editor, please consider moving it to Draft space rather than tagging these pages for deletion. If it's just a page that is in the wrong namespace, it's often better to move it than tag it for deletion, especially if it is a new editor who is still learning what User space is for. Thanks! Liz Read! Talk! 02:26, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Liz, thanks for reaching out. I'll work on getting better with moving pages instead of nominating for U5. I think I'll apply for page mover within the next few days so I don't leave redirects behind as user's main user page. Hey man im josh (talk) 02:46, 27 August 2022 (UTC)

Sort keys
Allo guvna :)
I just moved the page The Chess Game of the Wind to Chess of the Wind (the film's main title). I need to update the keys but idk what they are or how to do that, even though I looked it up. Could u please help me Stephanie921 (talk) 18:34, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Stephanie921, are you talking about the redirect tags? The main one is the page move tag that's automatically created. I use WP:Capricorn tp add redirect tags usually. I added one for as an alternative name to your created redirect. Hey man im josh (talk) 21:26, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
- I wasn't talking about that but I appreciate you adding the alternate name and telling me about redirect tags :)
- If you go onto 'Page information' - say for Chess of the Wind - you will see a row which says 'Default Sort Key'. Chess of the Wind's sort key is currently 'Chess Game Of The Wind, The' because that's what it was before the page was moved. After I moved the page, the page saying the move was successful told me it was vital to update the sort key (in addition to another key I can't currently remember). I couldn't do it on that page however, and there were no instructions. Stephanie921 (talk) 22:58, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
- Oh sorry @Stephanie921, that was a bit of a derp by me. If you edit an article, right above the categories at the bottom of the edit space, you'll sometimes see a default sort key parameter. It should be below nav boxes but above the categories. Currently I see the defaultsort key for that page listed as "DEFAULTSORT:Chess Game of the Wind, The" between curly brackets. Hey man im josh (talk) 10:56, 29 August 2022 (UTC)
- Lmto no worries. Cheers guvna, I've updated it now! Although do u know what the other thing I was told to update is? And what is a sort key anyway? Stephanie921 (talk) 20:32, 29 August 2022 (UTC)

Please help me with a move of the article
@Hey man im josh: Hi. I have never made a move so please help me change the name of the item to Panmure Gordon. So that the new redirect that was made in 2010 is no longer valid. Thx Tysska (talk) 07:52, 29 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Tysska,
- Moving pages is easy when there's nothing that exists at the destination. However, given that there is something at the destination, you should request a move using Template:Requested move on the page you would like to move. Then the request can be reviewed by somebody who can move the page over the redirect. Hey man im josh (talk) 11:00, 29 August 2022 (UTC)
