Why did you change his birthdate from 1883 to 1896? — BRIAN0918 • 2005-10-18 12:18 I thought there was an error[1], but I checked again, and the birthdate is indeed 1883. Sorry for that. Herve661 21:28, 19 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry

I had reverted your edits before you replied that it was an accident. Just another case of me being too hasty. :) — BRIAN0918 • 2005-10-20 23:00

Carl Barks

[edit]

Hi, I just saw your statement on Image:CarlBarksWithDuck.jpg regarding the image of Carl Barks you have. I was just wondering if you had any success on finding it, since it really would be great to have a free image to be used in the article. Also for the other language wikipedia's who don't accept fair use. Cheers, Garion96 (talk) 00:29, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Lostintheandes.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Lostintheandes.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ilse@ 23:20, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi actually the image I uploaded was meant as a replacement of a scan of the same comic-book for which there is fair-use rationale. The scan I uploaded was of better quality.

AfD nomination of INDUCKS

[edit]

An editor has nominated INDUCKS, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/INDUCKS and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 22:29, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Phil DeLara

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Phil DeLara requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Oh of course.

Thanks for letting me know. Next time you should give an edit summary, so you won't be reverted again. TheBlazikenMaster (talk) 15:30, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:NeighborJones.jpeg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:NeighborJones.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
  • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.
  • To opt out of these bot messages, add {{bots|deny=DASHBot}} to your talk page.
  • If you believe the bot has made an error, please turn it off here and leave a message on my owner's talk page.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
