[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Jack Iyerak Anawak - House of Commons photo.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

- Wikipedia can't use non-free files of living people. See Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria#Policy #1 which says in part; "Non-free content is used only where no free equivalent is available, or could be created,". - My intention was not to debate the merits of a nascent article but to question the rationality of a process that seemingly punishes volunteerism and boldness in a project entirely dependent on both, and to examine the wisdom of what may strike new authors as a heavy-handed and punitive approach. A sensible approach would be at least a 24 hour grace period followed by a friendly and constructive message offering some positive advice. What I got was a "speedy delete" tag slapped on less than five minutes into a new article creation. In what universe does that constitute "improvement"? Mau Mau Uprising
[edit]Is there any chance, if it is not already on there, you can put Mau Mau on your watchlist? I am endlessly trying to revert a dedicated multi-IP sock who wishes to frame our colonialism (I'm English) as "wrong in the balance" rather than "wrong on principle", wanting to mealy-mouth about its atrocious effects, and so on.
