Paid editing disclosure
[edit]Hi, I assume you were trying to disclose your employer with the template placed on your user page? In which case, thank you for doing so. The template had some syntax problems, which I've fixed. If you're happy with what it now says, then great; if not, let me know how you would like it to be amended. This is, after all, your disclosure, and I don't want to be proverbially putting words into your mouth. :) Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:24, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- Yes I was! Thank you so much for your help, I used the wizard but I didn't think it was syncing how I expected it too. I just need to source some more independent references - is there a number that I would need to hit to get it approved? Currently I think I've got three or four. 84.67.57.187 (talk) 13:52, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- There isn't really a fixed number as such, but in practice we tend to want to see three. One could be just a fluke, even two, but when three secondary sources have covered a subject, independent of each other and independent of the subject, that in most cases satisfies the notability requirement.
- Bear in mind that per WP:GNG (the most commonly applied notability guideline, by far), these sources should be secondary, and must be at once independent and reliable and provide significant coverage (not just passing mentions etc.) directly of the subject (not of some indirectly related matters).
