Welcome!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Hayaku! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:

There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Please be sure to sign your name on Talk using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? :)

I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a nice day. Sincerely, Ryan. 15:22, August 1, 2005 (UTC)

Binary Cam

[edit]

The page was deleted because it seemed to be advertising, which is not dependent on you working for the company. Rather, it used a lot of ad-speak type words and phrases. You are welcome to recreate the page, although I would suggest finding some sources other than the owner of this proprietary technology. I assume there are archery magazines out there - perhaps there are some reviews of the technology you could use. I can't promise that no other admin will delete it, but if you recreate the page I won't delete it again. Natalie 13:37, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

With this particular article, it was the lack of any real criticism or critique and the fact that the only external link or source was a company website. I will restore it for you, but it would be best if you could, as I suggested above, find some reviews or something in the archery press. Anything independent would help a lot. I have restored the page, and moved it to it's proper capitalization: Binary cam. Thank you for your patience and reasonableness, and please try to address the issues I raised. Natalie 20:28, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

I will see to improving it tonight after work.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Allan Hobson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hobson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
