Understanding draft vs. published article?
[edit]This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
My article was marked for deletion as indicated below. However, I thought I was in draft form (unpublished) and it would not be subject to any review until I published, hence the reason it is non-confirming. I was going to build the article and then publish. I guess I need some education on draft, sandbox, and how to publish, as well as working from a template. I will check out the links you provided, but any further assistance or response to this is welcomed. HarveyHere (talk) 19:08, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
- I have moved the page to Draft:Earthkids, The Musical and added a messagebox to the top of the page that allows you to submit it for a review by an experienced editor. My primary advice would be to shorten the plot summary and instead focus on what newspapers or reputable magazines have reported about the musical. You may want to take a look at WP:Referencing for beginners on how to easily create nicely-formatted footnotes for your references. Huon (talk) 21:28, 3 March 2017 (UTC)

We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Edelman and Fishman, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
- instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
