[edit]Hello, I'm AgisdeSparte. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Loi, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. AgisdeSparte (talk) 11:04, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
- yes thank you. How do I do this. Harry102929 (talk) 11:05, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Loi (surname). Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. AgisdeSparte (talk) 11:28, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Harry102929 Wikipedia does not accept original research. This means that if you or I want to say something, we can't really do it directly; it must come from an external and reliable source. In this case, for the question of the nickname 'Loi' in Sikh communities, you could provide a news article (in English or another language, the language doesn't matter as long as it's a reliable and verifiable source), a book, or an academic paper. All these elements, if they exist, could help you source the passage and get it accepted on the encyclopedia. I wish you good luck in your endeavours around here ! If you find those sources and don't know how to add them in the article alongside your modifs, tag me here, and I'll help you AgisdeSparte (talk) 11:35, 31 May 2024 (UTC)

Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee.
