Yes, I am interested in medicine-related articles. Just getting my feet wet in Wikipedia editing. I looked into the Outreach dashboard since finding and adding references sources would be interesting at this point--but it seemed that they wanted persons with more experience. I don't know how much of the back-end stuff you've already found, but we've got a description of our "ideal" sources for biomedical information at Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources (medicine). Of course, not everything should have a systematic review behind it, but if you're writing about whether a drug or vaccine is effective, a review is the ideal. Maurice Hilleman/Merck Award in Vaccinology

This award was given by the American Society of Microbiology (ASM) to recognize scientist who made major contributions to pathogenesis, vaccine discovery, vaccine development, or control of vaccine-preventable diseases .[1]

The award honors the American vaccinologist, Maurice R. Hilleman, who is credited with developing over 40 vaccines . These vaccines included ones that prevent measles, mumps, rubella, Haemophilus influenzae type b, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and chickenpox. These vaccines have saved millions of lives each year. Dr. Hilleman is frequently credited with saving more lives than any other scientist of the 20th Century [2][3].

The award was presented by ASM from 2009 - 2018.

I am confused by the comment that the article relies on too many primary references. The ones cited were published in highly regarded peer-reviewed academic journals.None of them are contentious.
