Control copyright icon Hello HDORS! Your additions to Dynamite (BTS song) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. All other images must be made available under a free and open license that allows commercial and derivative reuse to be used on Wikipedia.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. (CC) Tbhotch 23:02, 25 December 2020 (UTC)

"Perfect World"

According to their Japanese website, Twice only has eight (8) Japanese singles. (https://sp.twicejapan.com/discography/kind/1/) —hueman1 (talk contributions) 09:32, 30 June 2021 (UTC)

@HueMan1: I think you didn't understand what was called singles on the website. Here these songs were only released as a single alone. Sometimes, we can call them as single albums. That's why the title tracks of Twice Japanese albums are not listed here such as "BDZ", "Fake & True" and "Perfect World". I hope you understood what I meant to say.

HDORS (talk) 09:42, 30 June 2021 (UTC)

@HDORS: Isn't that what a promotional single do? I know that they're singles, but they tend to promote the album more than they promote themselves. —hueman1 (talk contributions) 09:51, 30 June 2021 (UTC)
@HueMan1: No. Usually, promotional singles won't be promoted and get radio play which was not the case for "BDZ" or "Fake & True". Also, "Perfect World" was confirmed by official sources that it's the lead single for Perfect World, in the same way as "BDZ" and "Fake & True". HDORS (talk) 10:33, 30 June 2021 (UTC)
@HDORS: I fully understand now. Thanks. —hueman1 (talk contributions) 10:49, 30 June 2021 (UTC)

Will need you to clarify further

Hi HDORS, I will need you to clarify further on what you even meant by "Look at the table and see that "Artist" is placed above the albums and "Album" is placed above the artist", I couldn't even comprehend what you're trying to say. What see that "Artist" is placed above the albums and what "Album" is placed above the artist ... what are you even talking about??? In addition, I pretty sure I told that the table format is following the Singles table format with addition of Artist column and also Composer and/or Lyricist and/or Arranger column. In the singles table, album column is always at the last column hence I don't see why you're even changing it randomly to move it before the artist column. Well true, in singles table, there isn't any artists column because it is merged into the title column if applicable such as if there is featured artists or if it's collaboration. I have reverted as it is inconsistent with other artists article and doesn't make sense to have a different design. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 13:00, 14 October 2021 (UTC)

@Paper9oll: Hi! If you look at the columns on the composition credits, you will that the title "Artist" was put above the name of the albums listed and that the title "Album" was put above the name of the artist. I just wanted to fix the mistake but you reverted many times my edits. Apart from that, I didn't change the design of the table. Thank you for tour understanding. HDORS (talk) 14:00, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
@HDORS Ah ... my bad. Now I understanding, what you're trying to say. Apologies for the misunderstanding. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 16:34, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
@Paper9oll: It's okay and I apologize as well for not having explained correctly. HDORS (talk) 10:53, 15 October 2021 (UTC)

Kim So-jeong

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Kim So-jeong a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Kim So-jeong. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Re: Infobox's chronology

Hi HDORS, I'm not sure though because for I'm following "Can't Control Myself" and "Hate That...", the chronology listed "Little Garden" which is a OST so should that be changed as well? And if OST is not considered as single (which by right should be called promotional single instead but for South Korean discography, we split into a dedicated table), shouldn't the preceding single be "So Silly" with San E instead? Paper9oll (🔔📝) 07:49, 28 January 2022 (UTC)

@Paper9oll: Hi. I'm sorry I didn't realise that "So Silly" was an OST. However, after looking for South Korean artists' discographies, the majority of the artists do not use soundtrack appearances as part of their singles chronology. But when it comes to Western artists, soundtrack appearances are listed. Maybe in South Korea, they are considered as promotional singles. HDORS (talk) 08:02, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
@HDORS Ya Western discographies listed soundtrack appearances together in Singles table, while South Korean discographies are seperated to either Promotional single or Soundtrack appearances. But shouldn't "So Silly" be the preceding single instead, why you reverted it though? Given that "So Silly" is a collaboration single rather than promotional single or soundtrack appearances. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 08:07, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
@Paper9oll: I actually thought for 10 minutes that "So Silly" is not a soundtrack appearance. That's why I reverted my edit. I'm sorry and will edit what I did. HDORS (talk) 08:20, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
@HDORS Ah okay, no problem. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 08:24, 28 January 2022 (UTC)

Do not make Korean text small

Taking the lead from other editors, I have tried to remove small markup from Korean text so to see you reintroduce it into articles, like that for Treasure (band), and not explain why you did so whatsoever is pretty jarring. Do not do this; there is no justification for making scripts harder to read. MOS:SMALL and MOS:ACCESS apply. Thank you. Ss112 03:06, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
