Hello Gylatshalit,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Jonathan settel, may be copied from http://www.last.fm/music/Jonathan+Settel/+wiki. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! CorenSearchBot (talk) 18:56, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jonathan settel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. roleplayer 19:20, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello Gylatshalit. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about following the reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:48, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Miss Tiffany's Universe, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a search with the contents of List of yeshivas in Israel, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: List of yeshivas. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. MadmanBot (talk) 08:29, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Help Survey

[edit]

Hi there, my name's Peter Coombe and I'm a Wikimedia Community Fellow working on a project to improve Wikipedia's help system. At the moment I'm trying to learn more about how people use and find the current help pages. If you could help by filling out this brief survey about your experiences, I'd be very grateful. It should take less than 10 minutes, and your responses will not be tied to your username in any way.

Monarchism and space!

[edit]

You might want to ask around, why does changing the section title using the flag template, add a space to the TOC? Look at the Contents and compare Romania and Austria, Albania and Greece, Germany and Republic of France. Your changes have added a space after the section number and before the name. Please do not remove maintenance and cleanup tags from articles, as you did to Monarchism, without addressing the concerns and cleanup items listed in the tags. They are placed on articles that need attention so that editors can address the concerns and perform the required maintenance on the articles in question. Thank you. November 2012

[edit]

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to History of the Jewish community in Palestine, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. OlYeller21Talktome 05:43, 7 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Similar concerns apply to many of your edits, including recent edits to Syrian Jews, History of the Jews in Japan, History of the Jews in Afghanistan, and History of the Jews in Sudan. I also see that the need to explain the reasons for your editing has been pointed out to you more than once in the past. You should always give a brief explanation of every edit in an edit summary, so that others can see what your intentions are, and if a longer explanation is needed, or if discussion is required, you should post a message on the article's talk page. Continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia without resolving the problem that the template refers to, may be considered disruptive editing. If you continue to remove maintenance templates and other content without explanation, there is a serious chance you may be blocked from editing. Ways to improve List of Jewish communities in Canada

[edit]

Hi, I'm Gareth E Kegg. Gylatshalit, thanks for creating List of Jewish communities in Canada!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Do any of the communities have articles? Wikipedia should not be repository for links.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of kingdoms and royal dynasties, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page State (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Savannah Gold, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Cindy(talk to me) 18:20, 26 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It may be helpful to explain your relation to that account. This does not appear to be a shared IP, and you've both made the same edits previously. Kuru (talk) 15:41, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You seem to have two accounts. One of them is used for anti-semitic vandalism. With the other, you make constructive edits about nazism, weapons, and exactly where significant numbers of Jewish people live. I find these contribution histories, taken together, to be deeply disturbing. I don't see any reason for changing the autoblock, as it seems to be working as it should. The question is whether this account should also be blocked or not. Other reviewing admins, your opinions? -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 15:56, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Unless there's a very convincing reason for the 'coincidence', I'd agree that the autoblock is working well. Peridon (talk) 21:14, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
From a CU's perspective, I feel this does absolutely need an explanation. The technical data is either very very convenient (which I doubt), or this is your account that is blocked. -- DQ (ʞlɐʇ) 22:56, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Dear Mister administrator, as you well know I have been blocked because I did something wrong, first let me apologize for this, I have read, and now I understand the reasons I have been blocked for, I know I deserve it, and I promise I shall not do it again, it is also true that I have two accounts, although I normally only use one of them, I am deeply repented, and I will not do it any longer, I'll try to make useful contributions to Wikipedia if you allow me to edit again.

Decline reason:

It is difficult indeed to show that you understand why you were blocked when you do not in any way reference the reason for your block. Before you can be unblocked, you need to make a list of all of the sockpuppet/alternate accounts you have used, and you need to agree to limit yourself to one account only. Even then, after that, given the nature of the vandalism, I don't know that any admins will unblock. But a request for unblocking that does not include a first step toward showing that you plan to edit in good faith? That's a non starter. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 20:50, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
