User talk:Gutworth
Welcome to my talk page!
I like to keep conversation threads to together, so please read these notes:
- I usually check back at conversations I've made in the past week to see if there is anything that demands my attention.
- If I have not replied, something new on a old conversation has come up, or something that's very important needs to be attended to by me, please leave a note at my list of things I need to come back to.
Thank you!
Welcome!

[edit]Hi Gutworth! Thanks for your advice concerning my recent contribution removing content from User talk:124.187.179.49 [1]. As you could have noticed I removed content I had written myself. Further that IP's contribution (to the article Speech act) was more than 24 hours ago, have a look at his contributions ([2]). Do you think it makes much sense warning him? Do you thing it makes much sense to warn me not to undo my own contributions? --85.176.73.232 21:17, 24 January 2007 (UTC) / aka Zitronfalda
- I'm sorry I neglected to notice it was you undoing yourself! I think, though, it is always wise to warn rather recent vandals. If they don't come back, We'll at least have made an try. I wouldn't, however, do this for 1 month or more. Thank you for commenting!Gutworth 03:32, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Fixing capilizations errors

Pure Frustration at an Abusive User
[edit]Hi Benjamin - you posted a note on my talk about deleting sections - these sections were filled with false and incorrect information, and while I would like to take the time to edit it carefully, this will soon become a full time job trying to deal with the user Covergaard. He has decided to make Wikipedia his personal soapbox and has put in multiple entries on various schools that are filled with biases and incorrect information. When I originally tried to edit these - he would just revert it back to his version. He calls our students detainees - an insult and totally incorrect.
I began to see some hope with a talk post on one of the articles by Jimbo Wales:
The DMCA complaint was from the producers of Brat Camp. I guess they don't like that cafety.org has the clips up without permission. I will keep following up on this. It sounds like you have a strong POV on the subject matter here, so please be careful with your editing to make sure it is neutral. But in this case, Aspen Academy is not complaining, so.... --Jimbo Wales 13:56, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit]I would like to thank you for your support in my recent RFA. As you may or may not be aware, it passed with approximately 99% support. I ensure you that I will use the tools well, and if I ever disappoint you, I am open to recall. If you ever need anything, don't hesitate to leave me a note on my talkpage. [edit]- Thanks for the support position. However, I've decided to withdraw my acceptance because of real WP:CIVIL concerns. I will try again later when I've proven to myself and others that my anger will no longer interfere with my abilities as a Wikipedia editor. Thanks again, and I'll see you around here shortly. :) JuJube 04:14, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Gutworth, Somehow you created your template blurb page Gutworth/Templates/Blurb in mainspace. I have put it up for speedy deletion as a testpage, which I hope is okay with you. --Slp1 03:03, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
- We'll it got moved so the namespace redirect can go. Thank you. Gutworth 02:20, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
I moved your template from Gutworth/Templates/Blurb to your user space, I think you created it in the article space by mistake ;) -- lucasbfr talk 08:13, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Thank you very much for your maintenence on WP:ACID recently. I was wondering if you think it would be good to start up using the maintnence page again. The link to the maintnence page is on the WP:ACID page at the very top. That is where we can record when cleanup and maintnence is done to the collaboration page. Please respond at my talk page. Happy Editing. •Felix• T 14:16, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

This form message is being sent to you either due to your membership with WikiProject Good Articles and/or your inclusion on the Wikipedia:Good article candidates/List of reviewers. A new drive has been started requesting that all members review at least one article (or more, if you wish!) within the next two weeks at GAC to help in removing the large backlog. This message is being sent to all members, and even members who have been recently reviewing articles. There are almost 130 members in this project and about 180 articles that currently need to be reviewed. If each member helps to review just one or two articles, the majority of the backlog will be cleared. Since the potential amount of reviewers may significantly increase, please make sure to add :{{GAReview}} underneath the article you are reviewing to ensure that only one person is reviewing each article. Additionally, the GA criteria may have been modified since your last review, so look over the criteria again to help you to determine if a candidate is GA-worthy. If you have any questions about this drive or the review process, leave a message on the GAC talk page. --Nehrams2020 01:04, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit]you said that apparently I (or my IP) vandalized the John Abraham page. How is it vandalism to move a picture from the middle of the page and place it as the actor's profile picture? GA Review for Thuggee[edit]I would ask that you hold off giving the Thuggee article GA status until the [I've raised] about the sources they use for the article are addressed. kerim (talk)
You helped choose Open Source as this week's WP:ACID winner[edit]GA Sweeps invitation[edit]Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am sending you this message since you are listed as a GA reviewer. I would like to invite you to consider helping with the GA sweeps process. Sweeps helps to ensure that the oldest GAs still meet the criteria, and improve the quality of GAs overall. Unfortunately, last month only two articles were reviewed. This is definitely a low point after our peak at the beginning of the process when 163 articles were reviewed in September 2007. After nearly two years, the running total has just passed the 50% mark. In order to expediate the reviewing, several changes have been made to the process. A new worklist has been created, detailing which articles are left to review. All exempt and previously reviewed articles have already been removed from the list. Instead of reviewing by topic, you can consider picking and choosing whichever articles interest you. We are always looking for new members to assist with the remaining articles, so if you are interested or know of anybody that can assist, please visit the GA sweeps page. In addition, for every member that reviews 100 articles or has a significant impact on the process, s/he will get an award when they reach that threshold. If only 14 editors achieve this feat starting now, we would be done with Sweeps! Of course, having more people reviewing less articles would be better for all involved, so please consider asking others to help out. Feel free to stop by and only review a few articles, something's better than nothing! Take a look at the list, and see what articles interest you. Let's work to complete Sweeps so that efforts can be fully focused on the backlog at GAN. If you have any questions about the process, reviewing, or need help with a particular article, please contact me or OhanaUnited and we'll be happy to help. --Happy editing!
