Personal information removed
Hello. Wikipedia policy is not to allow people who are minors in their local jurisdictions to post certain pieces of information that could be used to identify them or steal their identities. As such, I have removed your age from your user page. Please remember that editing on wikipedia is a privilege, and that privilege requires the agreement to abide by its policies and guidelines. Ray Wilson(Footballer) Edit
I updated this page with the permission of Ray's grandaughter and i put the information she gave me onto the page. You deemed this not constructive. - I'm sorry if you are offended, but this edit violated the Wikipedia guidelines on neutrality. In addition, the other two edits are, according to WP:OR, based on a primary source. The source must, therefore, adhere to WP:PRIMARY, which states:
Thanks for your research, but please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you. :) Guoguo12 (talk) 16:30, 16 June 2010 (UTC)"Primary sources that have been reliably published may be used in Wikipedia, but only with care, because it is easy to misuse them. File copyright problem with File:Washington Middle School NJ.JPG
Thank you for uploading File:Washington Middle School NJ.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 00:07, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for notifying me. The said file is now licensed, although I could have sworn I licensed it with the drop-down box on the upload page. Anyway, thanks for your dedicated work regarding copyright issues. Guoguo12--Talk-- 02:32, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, You might want to check you other uploads, as if one image upload failed to attach a license, the same glitch may have occurred with others... Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:59, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- Actually, there's a different problem. My only other upload, File:Usatt-small.gif, seems to have disappeared (the link doesn't work, but if you search "File:Usatt-small.gif", the rationale and such is accessible). The image used to be on there and now it's gone. Can you think of an explanation for this? I checked the history of the file page and there was nothing odd, but even the pictures from the old revisions had disappeared. It's all very odd. Sigh... Guoguo12--Talk-- 23:51, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Hello Guoguo12 you recently edited my post to Joe Stroud. thank you. I am new to the site and it really should read Joe H Stroud. - Hi, to change the name of an article, use the "move" tab at the top of the page. Anyway, you shouldn't cite yourself for an article because it would be a conflict of interest. With all due respect, I also recommend that you be as neutral as possible in your contributions to the Joe Stroud article, as you are a close relative; so far the article looks okay to me. Thanks, Guoguo12--Talk-- 21:06, 21 August 2010 (UTC).
Reviewer granted
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Dabomb87 (talk) 21:35, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Guoguo12, why did you undo my changes? Floridasportsguy —Preceding unsigned comment added by Floridasportsguy (talk • contribs) 01:23, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
- I apologize if you believe what you added is correct. The following link is the diff for my reversion: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mountain_State_University&diff=381940311&oldid=381939894. The text you added about international students seems to be controversial, meaning that you would be better off citing your sources. As you did not, the information you added is therefore original research, which is not tolerated on Wikipedia. Anyway, the gist of this is that, if you want to replace your edit, you should accompany your information with reliable sources. Thanks. Guoguo12--Talk-- 01:43, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
Removal of my link
Hello Guoguo,
I have noticed that my link was removed from the guard tour patrol system page.
While I have no intention of spamming wikipedia, I simply added the link to the page as my link is a good resource to that page and 100% relevant.
If i am not allowed to place my link here, could you please be kind enough to let me know why?
Kind Regards Timur —Preceding unsigned comment added by Timur1505 (talk • contribs) 22:56, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, Timur. Your edit to Guard tour patrol system was removed because it resembled advertising, as Wikipedia is not a collection of links. However, my judgement is only that of one individual. If you truly find fault in my edit, feel free to undo it. I apologize for any inconvenience. Guoguo12--Talk-- 18:54, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi Guoguo12,
I have tagged the article Roadmage for deletion. As you have edited the article in the past, through courtesy I would like you to review this and add any comment you feel is apt.
Best wishes, Acabashi (talk) 15:52, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
Many thanks for your response to this article; one doesn't want to delete without proper discussion. Please could you add your reasoning in Talk:Roadmage as to why you feel that Roadmage and it's article fulfills Wikipedia:Notability standards. You may have found real evidence of national importance, that of course other than a promotional web site, myspace, You Tube, or reporting of one event - this would be very welcome. I previously tidied-up the article, but could you improve it by additions? I will add back the citations for verification tag - reasonable and uncontentious. Best wishes, Acabashi (talk) 17:21, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Ahh and can you see my article about Infernal Underground Videogame?? Please. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alieneks (talk • contribs) 01:59, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, I assume you're asking for advice on your article, Infernal Underground Videogame. If I were you, I wouldn't move the article into the mainspace (i.e., Infernal_Underground:"The_Project_Rescue") before the game is released in real life. Wikipedia articles must demonstrate their subjects' notability by referencing reliable sources, and unless the game can generate a decent amount of press before its release, the article will likely be deleted. Please don't take this personally; articles are being deleted as we speak (no, seriously). By the way, if that vandal comes back and repeatedly vandalizes your page, try requesting page protection or reporting the vandal. Good luck on your article! Hello. This is a courtesy notice to let you know that I have restored this page as it neither meets any of the CSD criteria, nor is a disambiguation page. You are welcome to list that page on WP:AfD if you feel it does not belong, but please check the category this page is in first or consider requesting the creation of the currently red-linked items (I'll be happy to oblige). - Hi, I have tagged the article "Faboost" for deletion because Wikipedia is not a dictionary. More significantly, the article does not cite any reliable sources that mention "Faboost". In addition, I could not find any reliable sources that talk about the word "faboost", meaning that it is possibly not notable enough to be on Wikipedia as per WP:GNG. If you feel I am mistaken, you can argue your case at the AfD page for the article: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Faboost. Thanks. Guoguo12--Talk-- 21:34, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

- I have taken a look at the article. Three of the seven refs. provide are YouTube links. Since YouTube videos can be made and uploaded by anyone, they are typically not considered reliable sources as per WP:SPS. I did not view the two lovefilm.com video links, but I believe that they too are unacceptable because they are primary sources (I may be wrong here, though). Finally, the two BD Horror News refs. seem okay, but they do not mention the word "faboost", leaving no verification of the existence of the word. Again, remember that Wikipedia is not a dictionary. Please use a later version in the Lidz history. Also, for the last week Robert Garside has ben attacking (and deleting) facts/links from the page under two different accounts. at deletion review I've supported restoration so AfD can decide, but unless you do have more material, it seems hopeless. Frankly, I would have speedied it myself DGG ( talk ) 01:22, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

Deno
Thanks for reviewing Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Deno. I don't understand what the problem is - each line has one navigable blue link; Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park has multiple links from other articles, and Coney Island contains information about the park. If you still think there's a problem, please explain here - thanks. 86.162.163.210 (talk) 19:40, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. The red link on the line with "Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park" threw me off. Guoguo12--Talk-- 21:30, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- No problem. Thanks! 86.162.163.210 (talk) 21:42, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

I expect others to find citations for me
Please look at this policy Bonelayer12864 (talk) 22:19, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- First, I'd like to state that I did not make a personal attack against you. Second, your edit was possibly controversial and therefore required a reference as per WP:V: "This policy requires that all quotations and any material challenged [...] be attributed to a reliable, published source in the form of an inline citation, and that the source directly support the material in question." Thanks. Guoguo12--Talk-- 22:24, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- Since when was the Chinese Gooseberry being renamed to the Kiwifruit controversial? Bonelayer12864 (talk) 22:29, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- I'd like to point out that your edit claimed that the renaming occurred "because of their xenophobia", not the actual fact that the Chinese Gooseberry was renamed. Guoguo12--Talk-- 22:44, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- I'd like to point out that my edit, did not have to state that it was renamed, because it already said that when I got there. Can you do me a favour? Two favours actually? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bonelayer12864 (talk • contribs) 00:14, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
- Glad you're back. Let's take a step back, shall we? Your edit asserted that Ziel & Co renamed the Kiwifruit "because of their xenophobia". Hence, your addition basically suggests that Ziel & Co is discriminatory against outsiders. Such an assertion undoubtedly falls under "any material ... likely to be challenged", meaning that it "must be attributed to a reliable, published source using an inline citation" as per the Verifiability policy, which happens to be one of Wikipedia's Five Pillars. In the event that you do not believe that your addition falls under "any material ... likely to be challenged", I am now challenging it. If you read further at WP:BURDEN, you will find that "the burden of evidence lies with the editor who adds or restores material. Any material lacking a reliable source directly supporting it may be removed." So please, do not "expect others to find citations for [you]". If you still feel I am wrong in my judgement, feel free to reply and continue this discussion; perhaps a third opinion would help. Guoguo12--Talk-- 21:37, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, I think your right, but just to make sure, I want an opinion from Kasuga.Bonelayer12864 (talk) 16:39, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

copyvio tag
You tagged Frederick Kempe as a copyvio. I saw a fair amount of direct copying and some close paraphrasing, but I also saw some material that did not appear to come from the identified site. In my judgment there was enough material not obviously coming from the site that I excised the clearest violations, and left the rest, while tagging some of the remaining material with citation needed tags.
I may have missed some additional close paraphrasing. In my first pass, I only found a single paragraph, so I decided to remove it rather than delete the whole article. As I looked further, I found more and more, and almost considered deleting the whole thing, however, I think there is some material which is legitimate. Please feel free to review, and identify or remove more if it is clearly in violation.--SPhilbrickT 15:32, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- I found a lot more unambiguous copyvios than what currently exists (links to current rev.), copied directly from this site. For example:
- Entire fifth paragraph, tagged with {{cn-span}}, "As a reporter, Kempe covered a number of significant stories, including ... collapse of Soviet Communism", was copied directly from the end of sixth paragraph of [3] (same site as noted above).
- End of seventh paragraph, also tagged, "In 2002, the European Voice, the leading ... journalists in Europe", was copied directly from the start of the fifth paragraph of the site.
- Need I continue? Anyway, I've removed everything that I think are copyvios and I've noted the removal on the talk page. As for the third paragraph, it resembles the third paragraph of the parent site closely, but I'll let others decide what to do about it. Guoguo12--Talk-- 20:02, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Re: MILLE (software)
Too late now about not notifying me. Now I know someone wants to delete this article. ;-)
Not that I have a problem with this article being deleted; I was surprised to find that I had created it back in 2006, many thousands of edits ago. Frankly I have no good idea how to tell which software is notable & which is not, & a lot of articles about software which I've had a hand in I'm still not sure about. However, I'd like someone who can make a good call about its notability, before asking for help at Wikipedia:Article Rescue Squadron. Know anyone who can make that kind of call? -- llywrch (talk) 20:33, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, nope! By the way, for the record, the reason I removed my notification was that your edit history summary, "rescuing material removed during rewrite of Mille", sort of puzzled me. I thought for a moment that you were not the original author of the text, only a restoring admin, so... Guoguo12--Talk-- 21:06, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

I am having difficulties in publishing 2 wikipedia pages. Reason being - copyright infringement; specifically, copying text from a website However, the website is owned in part by the company I work for (as well as the other project partners) The websites desseminate information from a EU funded project, which we are involved in (with a numer of other partners from across Europe) We are leading the dissemination and therefore have permission from all partners to use the informtion on the website to publish a wiki page. Is there a problem with this?
the pages which have been deleted / flagged are Copernico and Admap-gas

Re:Donnie Fatso
Hello, you must be unfamiliar with wikipedia's policy on original research. Because in many cases, users are just guessing on references, and there have been many cases where users disagree. But, we do include cultural references if they are reliably sourced because without a source, it's just guesswork and thus original research. -- Scorpion0422 02:00, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
- Hardly the point; I am quite familiar with WP's OR and referencing policies. My point is that "it is considered good practice to always provide an edit summary, but it is especially important [...] if you delete any text" (WP:FIES). Since you didn't leave a summary in your first edit, it could have been assumed to be section blanking. Thankfully, however, you did provide a summary in your second edit, which I generally approve of. (FYI, your current edit summary usage is 79% for you last 150 non-minor edits.) Guoguo12--Talk-- 19:43, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
- Well, in most other episode pages, when I remove unsourced OR sections, I leave a message, but more often than not, the IPs and new users ignore it. I figured most veteran users would understand that I was removing OR, but I guess I was wrong. And please don't lecture me on good wikipedia etiquette, especially something as minor as edit summaries. I'm tempted to now not leave an edit summary in my next 150 edits. -- Scorpion0422 21:17, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
- Well then, go ahead and disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point. 'Tis the season to be jolly, after all. Guoguo12--Talk-- 22:52, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
