Birth dates

[edit]

Hi there. I noticed you changed quite alot of birth dates. New users changing birth dates without explanation is a common type of vandalism on Wikipedia, so when I couldn't find support for your dates on the internet, I reverted some of them. As you say a simple google search provided the birth dates, could you provide me with the links to those websites, so I can add them as a reference? Thanks, --Atlan (talk) 10:56, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 01:56, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

July 2010

[edit]

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Ben Klassen. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Legion fi (talk) 07:24, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, I'm okay with that. I did a quick google search and found at least two pages that said it was the 20th. If you have sources indicating otherwise you are free to add the contested birthdate to the article, but please do not remove sourced content. Thank you. --Legion fi (talk) 07:48, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In case you find a source stating that he was born on the 7th, you can change the leading paragraph to something like "(February 7 or 20, 1918 — August 6, 1993)" and cite the source at the end of the sentence. Or you could write a little extra sentence, stating something like "The exact day of his birthday is disputed between the 7th and the 20th of February".--Legion fi (talk) 08:04, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. While everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your contributions, such as your recent edit to Steve Holmes, did not appear to be constructive and was automatically reverted by DASHBot.

  • Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • DASHBot produces few false positives, but they do happen. If you believe the bot has reverted your edit wrongly, it is helpful if you report the error so the bot does not make the same mistake again. Please:

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Montana Fishburne, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. ♠♠ BanëJ ♠ ♠ 06:05, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

The recent edit you made to Michael Stefano has been reverted, as it introduced unsourced or poorly sourced negative or controversial biographical material. Please do not continue to add such information. Thank you. TbhotchTalk C. 06:10, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive comments.
If you continue to make personal attacks on other people as you did at User talk:Tbhotch, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. TbhotchTalk C. 07:09, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits. The next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did to T. T. Boy, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Tabercil (talk) 12:24, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Gummy Dummy. You have new messages at Tabercil's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Saying "If you block me I will just change IPs" was kind of the final straw; that's not the right way to react to valid concerns about your edits. And just today, you changed or added three more dates without a proper source. I'm blocking you 48 hours, in that time learn how to communicate here. --Golbez (talk) 13:07, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for disruption. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Request reason:

why was i blocked, please tell me. i was not trying to vandalize any article, all i did was remove a totally disgusting offensive picture from an article and then i'm the one who gets banned instead of the person who put the pic up. please unblock me ASAP, otherwise i'll just wait out the week, if i'm banned longer than that i will just change my IP address (which is relatively easy to do) and re-join wiki. please tell me this, why is there an article about "cock & ball torture" on wikipedia, do you engage in this monstrous act in your personal life and that's why you banned me??

Decline reason:

This is an interesting request. In it, you verify that you do not understanding Wikipedia's rules, that you do not intend to follow Wikipedia's rules, and that, if you do not get your way, you will break more of Wikipedia's rules. These are indeed the reasons that you are blocked. You do not, however, seem to be aware that these are the reasons that you are blocked, nor do you express any plan for editing differently in the future. Please be aware that a one-week block is very short, but if you evade your block as you threaten, it will probably result in your being permanently blocked from editing. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 21:54, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

{{unblock|FisherQueen since you identify as a "lesbian feminist" (which means that you're probably a sexist woman who hates men - look up MISANDRY on wikipedia) shouldn't you be happy that there are sick twisted men out there that like having there cock and balls tortured (that was the original article for which i was banned). this is kinda crazy to be honest, i don't even care anymore if i get permanently banned i can just re-join wiki in a snap and then i guess when i try to edit disgusting totally unnecessary articles like "cock & ball torture" i'll get banned again and then re-join again, lol. wow i never thought that wikipedia would be so mean, take care}

I've disabled this, since it is not an unblock request. You don't appear to know very many lesbians- very few lesbians hate men, or even waste much time thinking about men. Straight married women, on the other hand- I've never heard a lesbian talk as hatefully about men as their wives do. Naturally, as a lesbian, I do not care even a little bit what other people do with their penises, but I do care what other people do with Wikipedia. Your block is not related only to that article, but to the fact that you've made many edits that make the encyclopedia worse, not better. If you had a mechanic who kept breaking cars, you'd suspend her until she learned more about fixing cars. And if she wouldn't learn or couldn't learn, you wouldn't let her work as a mechanic any more. Not because you hate her, but because it's bad for the cars. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 22:37, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
