subst'ing warning templates

[edit]

Greetings, fellow RC patroller! I've come across several user talk pages this afternoon/evening where you had posted one of the user talk warning templates, but did not substitute the templates. You simply need to add "subst:" to the beginning of the template, using something like {{subst:uw-vandalism1}} instead of {{uw-vandalism1}}. This prevents the message on the talk page from changing if the underlying template is ever changed, and also helps protect the warning templates against vandalism. It's not a huge deal, but something you should be aware of. Keep up the good work fighting off vandalism, and feel free to let me know if you have any questions! —Krellis 01:05, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

dx into the numerator

[edit]

Hey, you asked about my edits to this page. Um, well there isn't really any difference between having the dx above the fraction line, as opposed to outside the fraction - they mean the same thing. I don't remember why I moved them there - it seems the only thing that does is to make things a little shorter. One thing I don't like is stuff like 1/x dx, but thats just my personal preference to have that as dx/x. Feel free to change it if you think it looks better another way.
