coords
[edit]Hi, You seem to be doing agreat job with coord templates on loads of the Somerset articles I have edited - thank you. Can I be really cheeky & ask a favour? I've not got my head around these yet so have been doing Grid Refs on articles listed on Grade I listed buildings in Bristol, Grade II* listed buildings in Bristol & Grade II listed buildings in Bristol. If you had the time or inclination to do the coordinates properly that would be wonderful. — Rod talk 09:11, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- I just saw some of the station edits you made. You really don't need to go to such a large number of decimal places to get an accurate fix. At most you need 4 decimal places, maybe 5 if you want to pinpoint the door on a building. b.t.w. I find the coordinate conversion utility at http://www.streetmap.co.uk very useful. Keep up the good work. --Cheesy Mike 17:30, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- I see you've started on some of the Bristol Listed building ones - which is great but is there any chance you could do this in the info box along with |map_type=Bristol as this puts a location map in as well? - if you look at The Great Gatehouse I've just done it with the coordinates you've provided to see what I mean.— Rod talk 21:18, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
- Great - I'll do the few you've already done as I find the time consuming thing is getting the coordinates in the firstplace.— Rod talk 21:32, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for all your work on the coords for Bristol articles.— Rod talk 15:37, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Central Police Station, Bristol

Weston (Bath) station
[edit]Hi. Ashley Avenue has a right-angled bend in it and the entrance to the station is in the corner of the bend, with the station directly ahead. The Bath-bound platform ended fairly close to the building in an eastward direction, but extended some way to the west, towards the stationmaster's house (on the corner of Ashley Avenue and Station Road). The signalbox was on the opposite corner of the level crossing across Station Road. Hope this helps. Johnlp 18:29, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
I reckon that's the one, though shapes of buildings always look odd when you see them on Google Earth or some such. It's certainly in the right place. My very first primary school took me down the "lane" next to the station at about the time it was closing! I can certainly remember trains stopping there, and I still have in my loft here the signalbox's wooden nameplate, saying just "Weston", from the box at the level crossing, which closed when the line itself shut and which I bought from BR for, I think, £1. Johnlp 20:12, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
I'm in the area fairly soon. If the opportunity arises, I'll try to take a snap of the actual station. Johnlp 20:47, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Conduit-icon.svg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Conduit-icon.svg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 16:18, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Bungienet20040401.png)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Bungienet20040401.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:02, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:Conduit-icon.svg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Conduit-icon.svg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 23:47, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
