Regarding Drafts and sandbox

[edit]

Hello Gthh, Thank you for interest in drafting. I've just reverted your edits in here as because there have to be a redirection now. The link for you your new draft is here: Draft:Diana Comte.

Please do not remove redirects in any page(as you did here). A draft should actually be created in a new page, for example: Link. Please refer this page which helps you in creating new articles: Wikipedia:Articles for creation.

For any help on knowing what a sandbox is, please refer: Help:My sandbox.

mentorship - Chris Dobson

[edit]

Hello Gthh, I see that you cut some of my text in the section "mentorship". Fine! Please, maintain at least the threshold (H-index 50) or this list will soon be too long!

Thanks--Norris Weals (talk) 12:06, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

RE: mentorship - Chris Dobson

[edit]

Dear Norris Weals, thanks for adding that section. I think it is a very nice addition! Indeed, Chris Dobson mentored an entire generation of notable scientists! I renamed it because I was slightly concerned that the word 'legacy' was too biased and feared that the entire section would get deleted by another editor. To ensure that does not happen, it would be very helpful to add some references regarding Dobson's mentorship activities. By any chance, do you have any that state he was their mentor? If so, I would be happy to add them. Regarding notability, I think it is better to stick to Wikipedia's guidance on notability rather than an arbitrary h-index cutoff. Thank again for your contribution! Gthh (talk) 12:14, 16 September 2019 (UTC)Gthh[reply]

DYK for Earyn McGee

[edit]

On 5 August 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Earyn McGee, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that ornithologist Corina Newsome and herpetologist Earyn McGee held events as part of the inaugural Black Birders Week, an effort to highlight the challenges faced by Black nature enthusiasts? You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Earyn McGee), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Information icon Hi Gthh! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Clare Grey that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you.
