Welcome to Wikipedia, GreenwoodKL! I am Patman21 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! BYU project request

[edit]

If you can come offer your thoughts on this discussion, I would appreciate it. Thanks! ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe 21:43, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on SchoolRooms, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia for multiple reasons. Please visit the article for details.

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Codf1977 (talk) 13:21, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It was promotional with no indication of why the subject was significant. Codf1977 (talk) 21:16, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Any admin can recover it and move it to a user page - but good form says ask the admin who deleded it first - that was Polargeo. But I see you have already left him a message. Codf1977 (talk) 21:24, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Saw your note on Codf's talk page; I suspect that Polargeo won't restore it, since you wrote it in a fashion that's rather advertisement-ish. However, I'll give you the references that you used:

This way, you'll have an easier time redoing the article from scratch; unfortunately, you'll need to do that even if the article is restored. Nyttend (talk) 14:12, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free files in your user space

[edit]

Hey there GreenwoodKL, thank you for your contributions. I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User:GreenwoodKL/SchoolRooms. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.

  • See a log of files removed today here.

Deseret Book images

[edit]

Just wanted to say thanks for contributing those nice images for the Deseret Book article. I had contributed the previous JPEG picture that you replaced, and I must say that your files are a welcome improvement! I'm not very familiar with SVG creation/editing, but I understand it has advantages over JPEG. I didn't know about the old logo's duration and I didn't know they had adopted new ones.

I believe lack of images is one of Wikipedia's greatest deficiencies, since without them articles just look so stale and uninteresting. I just wanted to say thanks as a fellow contributor and reader! ——Rich jj (talk) 14:47, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the merge of Housing at Brigham Young University to the Building page. There are a lot of permutations on the same theme for BYU and they probably should be consolidated as much as possible. It's confusing for someone looking for information and it's also a target for vandalism and it's also harder to maintain accuracy when the same content's spread across multiple articles. You might also look at Brigham Young University campus. It's probably fine separate, but there might be ways to integrate the two some. Thanks again. Shadowjams (talk) 22:01, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Who Do You Think You Are? (U.S. TV series), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Babungo (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Re: High-res logos

[edit]

Actually, by my interpretation of WP:NFC, we're not supposed to use high-resolution versions of logos.

However, the old KSL radio logo does seem simple enough to be public domain, so we can at least keep that. And, on keeping old logos on station articles like that, when non-free, I'm not sure of the consensus on that right now. It was a rather controversial issue.
