That said, why did you remove my explanation of the caption from Aesop? DS (talk) 16:41, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
== Hi and thanks for the message. Actually been around MUCH longer than that; only created a login&username when I decided the pinhole camera text needed rewriting, for the sake of clarity. Often don't bother logging in when I'm just correcting a typo.

[edit]"why did you remove my explanation of the caption from Aesop? DS (talk) 16:41, 7 December 2009 (UTC)"
- My apologies if you feel that I "damaged" your text. I removed it because the second sentence is irrelevant, being merely standard typographic form of the period, and potentially misleading: "Esopus" can hardly be considered an "alternate" (i.e. alternative) spelling for use today, merely a medieval form.
How about writing
Note the medieval spelling "Esopus", with a long s and truncated 'p'. (Gpeterw (talk) 13:46, 14 December 2009 (UTC))
- Good enough; recommended change has been implemented. DS (talk) 17:44, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Verifying
[edit]Currently it says "The old main entrance to the Promenade Hospital", and it should say "The old main entrance to the Southport Hospital" ? Is that it? DS (talk) 16:43, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
It's for the map just below "missing operand" Gpeterw (talk) 12:38, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

- Many thanks. I used to have no difficulty editing Wiki, but with age . . . I just could not find where to put the bibliography entry. And then fatigue took over. gpeterw (talk) 09:30, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
