Thanks for the greeting Gobonobo, I've been using wikis for a bit but I am new to Wikipedia. It's rather intimidating but your greeting has made me feel welcome while I figure out what's going on here. I am a believer in the power of the cooperative moment and by following the links on your talk page I found the cooperatives wikiproject and am very interested in continuing a presence here on Wikipedia, a living embodiment of co-operation.

Changes to the Wedge

You asked why I changed the following passage for Wedge Community Co-op Up until 1997, Wedge did not carry meat products. In 2003, Wedge launched a domestic fair trade program, supporting vendors such as Native Harvest. I am an employee of the Wedge Co-op and one of my jobs is to maintain our Social Media presence. I realize that Wikipedia is not a social network, but it seemed to fall under my job category anyways. This is the main reason I ended up here, but I do plan on staying in a personal role. The passage regarding meat was removed because the comment seemed random and somewhat polemic rather than informative. I removed the passage regarding the alliance with Native Harvest as that program is no longer active.
I hope I didn't cross over any lines or over step the bounds of what could and should be changed. Thanks again for your help.

Ah I see. Your changes make sense then. Kudos to you for taking the initiative to improve the wikipedia entry. Since you have some connection to the co-op, you should become familiar with the conflict of interest guideline. Basically, editing on articles where you may have a conflict of interest is strongly discouraged and any edits need to be neutral. I'm not particularly worried about it myself, as I'll be around and will help to keep the article neutral. Any chance you could upload a photo of the co-op? Gobonobo ^T ^C 17:43, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
