Advice request: conflict of interest
Hello Gobonobo,
Thanks for the warm welcome to Wikipedia. I appreciate your dedication to improving credit union & cooperative articles.
As a more experienced editor, I wonder if you could help me work something through: I have a conflict of interest, being employed by Coast Capital Savings, and I'd like to get your opinion on whether or not my edits are at risk of being reverted based on this conflict. My real intent as an editor is to improve the quality of credit union articles, but I don't want other editors worrying about my objectivity. I'm thinking that I might limit my edits to fact-checking and inserting references, rather than writing new sections or new articles. Does this sound fair? Thanks in advance for your advice.Dhkermit (talk) 19:34, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Dhkermit. It sounds as if you have good intentions. I think that you will be fine fact checking and inserting references. The conflict of interest policy is mostly there to prevent the creation of articles that sound more like advertisements than encyclopedia entries. If you see something on Coast Capital Savings that you think ought to be changed, feel free to point it out to me and I can probably make the change myself. I see that you made a comment about the interest rate comparisons there and you're right, they should probably go. Gobonobo T C 19:50, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Mondragon Corporation
Hi Gonobono,
I am dsanchezbote from the basque country I am faculty in the Mondragon Unibersity. We want to improve the article about the corporation in the english Wikipedia. We are going to insert some reference in the text the next edit. Thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dsanchezbote (talk • contribs) 12:05, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for including the references. The article looks much better now. I wonder if you have access to any photos that could be used for this article. There's a photo of the Ulgor factory on the spanish wikipedia, but not much else. Of particular interest would be a picture of José María Arizmendiarrieta, as I have been unable to find a free image. What do you think of the other two pictures discussed at talk? Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 18:29, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Wcatsup.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Wcatsup.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MBisanz talk 09:36, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
Criticism of Kyoto Protocol
Criticism of Kyoto Protocol no attack is involved. Apparently a false judgment. Where is the speedy deletion request page link. Kasaalan (talk) 13:47, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- Ah. I see you were in the middle of making changes when I happened upon the article. It looks much better now. Gobonobo T C 01:00, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for that, but even at the beginning stage it was not an attack page. Try tagging better in your later nominations. Main issue with Kyoto Protocol is some people try to use it as a start point for 32 billion dollar worth Carbon trade stock exchange. According to the many environmentalist groups, Kyoto Protocol will not help as it is advertised since it is only limited to CO2 and not including CFC, or air transport etc. Kasaalan (talk) 17:24, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
