- @Casliber: - There was a problem with the phrasing of the hook, so it never appeared. What should I do about this (see WT:DYK#Pulled hook (ii)) Go Phightins! 01:48, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
- I would have thought just reversing the promotion template at Template:Did you know nominations/Anthony Hewitt (baseball) and re-reviewing....should be straightforward...?Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 04:08, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
- BlueMoonset just posted a link on how to return a pulled hook to the nomination area, so I've done it. You can find it at the bottom of this section: Template_talk:Did_you_know#Articles_created.2Fexpanded_on_June_13 Belle (talk) 07:29, 20 June 2014 (UTC)

Help. I need an admin!
I got a message today from someone enquiring as to why NOS Marine Forensics Program still had a speedy deletion template on it from April. I of course had no answer, lacking the magic buttons you now have. So, I will punt this to you. The article apparently went thru an AfD at about the same time, but there is an unambigous copyvio, plus it was created by a now infinity blocked editor, Sint Maarten. I had no answer for the dude, and I am hoping you can either resolve this (I'd be curious to know how it happened), or provide some explanation to us. Thanks GP. John from Idegon (talk) 03:12, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
- Hey John, hope all is well. I am headed to bed now, so I don't really have time right now to dig in on this, but it appears that the alleged copyright violation is actually of material in the public domain, so I guess that nullifies the copyvio concern. I don't know why the template is still there ... the AfD was closed as no consensus. Hmm. I'm confused too. DGG removed the CSD template in April, and it was added back today by a new editor, one Ventus Castellum. I will investigate this further tomorrow, or perhaps a stalker can help you tonight. Thanks for bringing this up, John, and have a nice evening (you still have a few hours out west ) Go Phightins! 03:33, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
- Nm..I got played. Ventus Castellum is yet another sock of Sint Maarten. I should have looked further before bugging you. Didn't look all that close at the history. John from Idegon (talk) 15:23, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
Availability note, and request ...
Fellow Wikipedians,
Beginning Sunday (June 22), I will be going away for two weeks (a week mission trip, and then another week of real life fun ), during which time I will have very little if any internet access. First, fellow admins, you are welcome to revert anything or "pick up any ball" while I am gone. Also, if on June 30 after the Phillies play, or July 1 before they play, could someone save an archive of the Phillies stats' page on Baseball Reference (this page) so I can use it when I get back to keep working on 2014 Philadelphia Phillies season (I am using end-of-month stats). Thanks, and I look forward to my return. Happy editing!
Go Phightins! 17:50, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
- Mission and fun....it don't get better than that. That is unless you can figure out a way to minister to professional baseball players so you could go to games as your mission. :) John from Idegon (talk) 18:30, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
Hi Go Phightins!. Thank you for your carefully explained close at Talk:The Bible and homosexuality#RFC: Which translation of the Bible to use? in response to an WP:ANRFC request here. I hope you continue to help resolve ANRFC disputes if you have the time and inclination. Closers who are willing to provide detailed rationales of their decisions are sorely needed. Thank you again! The IP reverting the Halladay material
Quickly pursuing the relevant material related to the "banned user", this IP seems to have been instrumental in getting him banned and has some sort of personal vendetta against him for some reason. Hi I need help with this user. I know I do not and I'm tired of it. In my talk page only has charge of daily bother, I decided to archive my talk page if kept bothering me and it was useless to do that. Leaves a Mensagem to leave me alone; and all I did was make fun of my. In my talk page has generated only edit wars with me.I know my English is not very good, but I know I do.
- From what I see, this user does not have problems only with me, see here. Where it looks like he is falling in edit wars with the user Hotwiki. --Jorge Horan (talk) 01:09, 22 June 2014 (UTC)
- Hello! Sorry for the disturb but I can't take Jorge Horan's behavior anymore, he keeps on undoing my edits especially at Reina de Corazones (2014 telenovela) because he thinks that all my edits is always incorrect, I just added a short story plot and removed an unnecessary photo but he just keeps on reverting my edits. He is the one who is obsessed with reverting edit-warring and not me. -ElNiñoMonstruo (talk) 01:46, 22 June 2014 (UTC)
- I restored the comments. Not sure if ElNiñoMonstruo was trying to delete that previous edit or it was one of the strange conflicts that happen, but all is restored, regardless. I will leave the actual dispute to GP. Dennis Brown | 2¢ | WER 01:53, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

WikiCup 2014 June newsletter
After an extremely close race, Round 3 is over. 244 points secured a place in Round 4, which is comparable to previous years- 321 was required in 2013, while 243 points were needed in 2012. Pool C's Godot13 (submissions) was the round's highest scorer, mostly due to a 32 featured pictures, including both scans and photographs. Also from Pool C, Casliber (submissions) finished second overall, claiming three featured articles, including the high-importance Grus (constellation). Third place was Pool B's , whose contributions included featured articles Russian battleship Poltava (1894) and Russian battleship Peresvet. Pool C saw the highest number of participants advance, with six out of eight making it to the next round.
The round saw this year's first featured portal, with Sven Manguard (submissions) taking Portal:Literature to featured status. The round also saw the first good topic points, thanks to 12george1 (submissions) and the 2013 Atlantic hurricane season. This means that all content types have been claimed this year. Other contributions of note this round include a featured topic on Maya Angelou's autobiographies from Figureskatingfan (submissions), a good article on the noted Czech footballer Tomáš Rosický from Cloudz679 (submissions) and a now-featured video game screenshot, freely released due to the efforts of Sven Manguard (submissions).
The judges would like to remind participants to update submission pages promptly. This means that content can be checked, and allows those following the competition (including those participating) to keep track of scores effectively. This round has seen discussion about various aspects of the WikiCup's rules and procedures. Those interested in the competition can be assured that formal discussions about how next year's competition will work will be opened shortly, and all are welcome to voice their views then. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to help keep down the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! Please help me grade someone's test
By the way, congratulations on your adminship! I have made the choice to accept an adoptee but I realize I am not as qualified as I thought. I definitely started to use your adoption course lessons but it is hard for me to grade tests and answer questions because I did not create them. Some of their answers are humorous but also outright incorrect. They seem so eager to want to learn how Wikipedia works. Can you please help me? Here is a link: User:JHUbal27/Adopt/LesVegas. Thank you!
Grades I would have given:
- Q1- 3/5 (completely missed the part about verifiability)
- Q2- 3.5/5 (missed neutral point of view policy)
- Q3- 5/5 (correct about synthesizing sources)
- Q4- 3/5 (missed the part about Sarah Palin)
- Q5- 4.5/5 (what about a new ice cream flavor)
- Q6- 1/5 (completely off-topic)
- Q7- 1/5 (wrong and immature)
- Q8- 2/5 (correct, but an immature answer)
Total: 23/40 (57.5%)
~~JHUbal27 09:03, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- Hey JHUbal27. Adopting is harder than it looks :-) By the looks of it, the user didn't take the test very seriously. I might ask him or her to go back one more time and make sure the answers demonstrate what they learned about the policy, rather than simply humorous remarks. Go Phightins! 12:26, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

We noticed though that when you edited 2014 Philadelphia Phillies season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chris Guccione. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Panhead2014's insistance in edit warring and accusing other people.
Hi there, man! How are you?
Just to give you a little background over Panhead's claims, I'll post some links below:
1)WP:FOOTY discussion over his edits in Sergio Busquets and Míchel Salgado, where he claims that I (and some other users) have a personal problem with him (which is definitely not true);
2)The block logs related to the user;
3)His constantly claims that Gringoladomenega is acting wrong and is having a nuisance behavior. In this same discussion it was explained why he was blocked and why his requests to unblocking were denied by five admins.
