Hello. I'm already part of the project, which was can be seen as a userbox and category on my userpage. Thanks for the invitation anyway. Be sure to add a subst: prefix to templates like that, or it may look improper. I prefer the old green look for {{User WikiProject Cryptozoology}}. Can I revert your edits? Feel free to create another template. serioushat07:49, 17 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the invite - but I am curious as to why I got one! Was it a random-editor invite, or have I done work on a few relevant articles which drew your attention? I'll have to think about it - at the moment, I am not too active on Wikipedia, following the birth of my son 2 weeks ago! However, I hope to get back to activity soon! -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 20:02, 17 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When using certain templates on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:uw-test1}} instead of {{uw-test1}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. Thank you. I am an experienced editor. Be sure you are familiar with Wikipedia's guidelines and policies before making major edits and creating templates.serioushat08:14, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome to Wikipedia. A page you recently created may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages, so it will shortly be removed (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests, and consider using the Article Wizard. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Your first article. You may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. serioushat08:20, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
"WikiProject Report" would like to focus on WikiProject Cryptozoology for a Signpost article to be published this month. This is an excellent opportunity to draw attention to your efforts and attract new members to the project. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, here are the questions for the interview. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. Also, if you know anyone else who would like to participate in the interview, please share this with them. Have a great day. -Mabeenot (talk) 16:36, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there. I see that you added Neo-Darwinism to the ideological roots section of Nazism, and then changed it to Darwinism. I am not sure which, if either, is correct so removed it. I suggest to ask about this on the talk page. It might be that Neo-Darwinism is correct or that there is an even more correct term for the confused pseudo-Darwinism that inspired the Nazis. Regards. --DanielRigal (talk) 11:01, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! Thanks for the invitation. I know my username comes from a cryptid, but I'm not sure if I want to join yet. I haven't edited any cryptid articles in a long time, apart from fixing vandalism. Perhaps I will join someday. Thanks! --TheHighFinSpermWhale16:26, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You can do what you set out to do here (challenging the mainstream scientific and political consensus) as long as you cite reliable sources. Be sure to read WP:FRINGE and use citation templates like {{cite web}}. Please keep in mind that Wikipedia follows consensus, so you can't and shouldn't revise everything you want. Please do not respond to this important notification. serioushat09:06, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
I'm afraid I have quick-failed the article, due to a number of serious issues. I'm watching the review page, but you're welcome to leave me a note on my talk page if you have any comments. J Milburn (talk) 11:00, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Gniniv, this is a message from an automated bot, regarding Template:Infobox cryptid. You blanked the page and, since you are its sole author, FrescoBot has interpreted it as a request for deletion of the page and asked administrators to satisfy the requests per speedy deletion criterion G7. Next time you want a page that you've created deleted, you can explicitly request the deletion by inserting the text {{db-author}}. If you didn't want the page deleted, please remove the {{db-author}} tag from the page and undo your blanking or put some content in the page. Admins are able to recover deleted pages. Please do not contact the bot operator for issues not related with bot's behaviour. To opt out of these bot messages, add {{bots|deny=FrescoBot}} somewhere on your talk page. -- FrescoBot (msg) 22:52, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for contacting me at id.wiki. Actually if you want to find sources of a current event it is very easy. Just go to Google news and search for "Mount Sinabung". I will add some information in en.wiki. Thanks. Kenrick Talk08:41, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the barnstar. I think I'll try to eliminate the assessment backlog over the next few weeks and might review the assessed articles too (I've moved about half the B class articles I've given importance ratings down to C). Any help would be very much welcome. Claritas§08:54, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Please note that per WP:CANVAS, this is inappropriate for at least three of the criteria of canvassing; it was a non-neutral message, aimed to be delivered to a very large, partisan audience. Please take WP:CANVAS into account when posting any future messages regarding pending changes. GiftigerWunsch[TALK]09:56, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I see you were warned about this already; never mind. I would recommend striking that comment and any similar ones you've made however; not only is it a clear violation of WP:CANVAS, it's also inciting others to do the same. GiftigerWunsch[TALK]09:58, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the reminder, and I have ceased to do this and will revert any other canvasses that I have done when they are brought to my attention.--Gniniv (talk) 10:06, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
A tag has been placed on Userbox:Young earth creationism requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. A Mediation Cabal (Informal Mediation) case to which you have been named a party has come up for mediation by Ronk01talk. Please navigate to the casepage, located here: [1], and leave an opening statement as instructed there. You will also need to sign your agreement to the mediation there. If all listed parties do not sign, the case will be referred to RFC and closed immediately. You will be updated on further progress of the mediation on your talk page. 14:41, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.
My conclusion is (in WP:GOODFAITH) that I can't edit (with my convictions) in a way that absolutely conforms to the WP:Systematic bias present on Wikipedia. The simple truth is that I am editing with pretty much the same methodology as many editors, though my philosophical perspective does not conform to the majority. Since Wikipedia is (in practice, though not in policy) a democracy when it comes to editing (whichever view has the most support survives-e.g. Natural Selection), my POV is disfavorable to the majority of editors, and is therefore removed. I agree that many (most when I first started editing) of my edits are in need of improvement and I thank all the editors who helped mentor me through my first months of WP:TE and unsourced contributions. Since my worldview (WP:WORLDVIEW) is different from the overwhelming majority of editors, the overwhelming majority of my edits are reverted, even when they are properly sourced to their authors. I have no malice against Wikipedia for being this way (Its one of the oft-overlooked consequences of a "free" Encyclopedia) but something obviously needs to change. I was hoping my edits would draw attention to the fact that a large amount of Systematic bias is present on this site, and hoping that it would induce organizational changes to benefit significant minority viewpoints. As it seems the rule-by-majority still stands, I will bow out of editing until furthur notice. You will see that my user has been retired. I am proud of my accomplishments (the revival of WP:CRYZOO being at the top of the list) and I enjoyed the critical and challenging enviroment Wikipedia offered. All I can say is that I held to my convictions and I hope that what I did will inspire others to do the same. Finus...--Gniniv (talk)06:38, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Gniniv, I followed the discussion at WP:ANI and I have a suggestion to you, if you're still not 100% sure you want to leave Wikipedia or if you decide to come back at a later date. Everyone has opinions about various topics, it's part of being a sentient human being. I have some pretty strong opinions myself about certain topics, including some specific religious and political topics. I just choose to avoid those articles because it's difficult for me to participate without applying my own point of view. I even believe that those topics are currently slanted in the wrong direction, and show an unfair and unreasonable bias, but since I recognize that I have my own bias in the opposite direction I recuse myself from such topics. It can be difficult to do so, because of course those topics are what I'm interested in. But there is so much on Wikipedia that I can contribute to, and the same with you. You're obviously intelligent and have good writing skills and know how to do research, so if you still have an interest in helping the encyclopedia, please consider doing so outside of the areas where you've run into conflict. If your only interest is in working on topics related to cryptozoology, and nothing else appeals to you, then maybe you're making the right decision, but just think about it. -- Atama頭20:54, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Gniniv.... you can't just "retire" this account and start a new one to avoid dealing with the repercussions of an ongoing ANI about you. I retired from that discussion because you said you were leaving WP, not if you're just switching names to avoid scrutiny. Jesstalk|edits15:01, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. As you recently commented in the straw poll regarding the ongoing usage and trial of Pending changes, this is to notify you that there is an interim straw poll with regard to keeping the tool switched on or switching it off while improvements are worked on and due for release on November 9, 2010. This new poll is only in regard to this issue and sets no precedent for any future usage. Your input on this issue is greatly appreciated. Off2riorob (talk) 23:35, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello WikiProject Space member! A discussion has been started regarding the future of WikiProject Space here; any comments you might have would be welcome! There are mainly two competing ideas:
Centralize all the Space-related WikiProjects, such as Astronomy and Spaceflight, and merge them into WikiProject Space, or
Separate the Astronomy and Spaceflight "sides" of WikiProject, and remove WikiProject Space.
If you can think of other options, that's great too. Your contribution to the discussion would be much appreciated. Thanks! :)
Would you like to help improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to the National Archives and its incredible collection? This summer, the National Archives—which houses some of America's most important historical documents—is hosting me as its Wikipedian in Residence, and I have created WP:NARA to launch these efforts.
There are all sorts of tasks available for any type of editor, whether you're a writer, organizer, gnome, coder, or image guru. The National Archives is making its resources available to Wikipedia, so help us forge this important relationship! Please sign up and introduce yourself. Dominic·t15:22, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Gniniv. I am currently conducting a study on the dispute resolution processes on the English Wikipedia, in the hope that the results will help improve these processes in the future. Whether you have used dispute resolution a little or a lot, now we need to know about your experience. The survey takes around five minutes, and the information you provide will not be shared with third parties other than to assist in analyzing the results of the survey. No personally identifiable information will be released.

Many thanks in advance for your comments and thoughts.
User:Dr. Blofeld has created Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/Contests. The idea is to run a series of contests/editathons focusing on each region of Africa. He has spoken to Wikimedia about it and $1000-1500 is possible for prize money. As someone who has previously expressed interest in African topics, would you be interested in contributing to one or assisting draw up core article/missing article lists? He says he's thinking of North Africa for an inaugural one in October. If interested please sign up in the participants section of the Contest page, thanks.♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa.01:22, 21 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
