Utilizing skills and knowledge gained on Wikipedia to enhance my wheelhouse to support writing, researching and citing skills even further. Ultimately want to be able to add authenticity to content for developing artists that warrant wikipedia references and articles.
GiaKay81, you are invited to the Teahouse!
[edit]Hi GiaKay81! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. We hope to see you there!

Teahouse talkback: you've got messages!
[edit]Please note that all old questions are archived after 2-3 days of inactivity. Message added by DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 03:32, 16 October 2019 (UTC). (You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{teahouse talkback}} template).
Regarding your mail...
[edit]...there is not much to add as the Teahouse-hosts have covered all angles. Just in a condensed form: it's not so much about what the artist or their consultant(s) have to say about the subject, but what others, so called reliable sources have to say. If you are, on the orther hand, really interested in learning about Wikipedia and becoming an editor, don't concentrate on getting the article about the artist up, but do little things here and here allover. The Wikipedia adventure would be a good start. Regards. Lectonar (talk) 06:17, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, GiaKay81. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. As an intern, you are being compensated with the experience of the work you are doing; this falls within the scope of the paid editing policy, and as such you must comply as soon as possible. This is a Terms of Use requirement and mandatory. Thanks 331dot (talk) 07:17, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
