---|
25 June 2007; To all my friends;
Due to my many horrible actions, I have found it impossible for me to continue to edit under this persona. I hope that all those I have caused grief can somehow find it in their hearts to forgive me, even though that may not be possible. Geo.plrd is therefore no more, but i will return as another, starting anew and hopefully gaining the trust of the community. I humbly request that all my userpages be left intact for personal reasons. Sincerely; |

AMA controversy
[edit]WP:AMA is now at the risk of being shut down. I am not a member of AMA but I think it should definitely not be shut down. It is a very useful and helpful project for users who are unfairly treated. Wooyi 01:14, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

Commodore Sloat and Armon have begun mediation. For training purposes we'll be discussing the case by e-mail. I have a gmail account where we can chat as needed (if you have gmail too). Should you wish to comment directly to the participants, community input is welcome at this page. Best regards, DurovaCharge! 09:32, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
My case
[edit]Hi Geo. The events are getting old by now, and the person I had an issue with has pretty much disappeared, so I don't think I need to keep up with this request. Thank you for being an advocate, and thank you for electing to take on my request in the first place. What should be done now to bring this to a close? Aschoeff 22:22, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Done. Thanks again. Aschoeff 20:31, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
Hi. WikiProject Secret Societies, which you created, has been inactive since August 16, 2006. If the page is going to remain inactive, would you mind {{db-author}}ing it? I thought of listing it at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion, but decided to come to you directly after seeing that you were active in the past few days. If you intend to restart the project, then please let me know and I will move on. Thanks, Black Falcon (Talk) 23:29, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

The article Hofuptti Tribe has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. // Pilotguy hold short 22:52, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit]I thought we asked you not to mediate any more cases for MedCab. --Ideogram 22:14, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yep, completely agree with Ideogram, you were asked not to take any more cases and you resigned. Addhoc 23:03, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- Following your email, I reiterate that you were requested by the previous MedCab co-ordinators not to take any more cases. Given the present circumstances where you opened a case without discussion, I am disinclined to accept that your conduct has improved. Addhoc 13:30, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! [edit]Not sure whether this is the right place ... sorry if it is not. Could I ask that the article on Charles de Gaulle be looked at again? Motto of the Day Help Request April 2014
[edit]→ I have not failed;
I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.
Motto of the Day (WP:MOTD) is in a state of emergency and really needs your help! There are not enough editors who are reviewing or nominating mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review, and this probably means that you will notice a red link or “This space for rent” as our mottos for the next weeks and months.
Please take a moment to review the nominations and nominate your own new mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review and Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/'Specials. Any help would be appreciated! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 09:13, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

New deal for page patrollers
[edit]Hi Geoff Plourde,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Greetings,
"Military history" is one of the most important subjects when speak of sum of all human knowledge. To support contributors interested in the area over various language Wikipedias, we intend to form a user group. It also provides a platform to share the best practices between military historians, and various military related projects on Wikipedias. An initial discussion was has been done between the coordinators and members of WikiProject Military History on English Wikipedia. Now this discussion has been taken to Meta-Wiki. Contributors intrested in the area of military history are requested to share their feedback and give suggestions at Talk:Discussion to incubate a user group for Wikipedia Military Historians.
