Speedy deletion nomination of Adegoke Rasheed Adekunle

[edit]

Hello Gbolahanpost,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Adegoke Rasheed Adekunle for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Hi. I have moved the article-to-be to Draft:Alex Omokudu since it was not yet ready for main space. Specifically, the (excessive amount of) inline external links is a problem. Good luck. Kleuske (talk) 15:59, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Alex Omokudu

[edit]

Hello, Gbolahanpost. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Alex Omokudu".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! MrClog (talk) 19:22, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Mustapha Mona Audu has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet WP:GNG, WP:NPOLITICIAN. If content about Mustapha can be properly integrated into the article about Abubakar Audu, then it would be appropriate to create a redirect from this title pointing to there.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. signed, Rosguill talk 21:15, 3 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio warning

[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Gbolahanpost! Your additions to Femi Babafemi have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Modussiccandi (talk) 11:02, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Femi Babafemi moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Femi Babafemi, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) In addition, it appears you have a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Do not move the article into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 15:42, 18 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of The Okunoren Twins for deletion

[edit]
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article The Okunoren Twins is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Okunoren Twins until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.

DGG ( talk ) 05:20, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Muiz Banire requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://nairametrics.com/2018/07/17/buhari-appoints-muiz-banire-as-amcon-chairman/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Gbolahanpost. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Tosin Osunkoya, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Wikishovel (talk) 12:19, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. To the best of my knowledge, no undisclosed payments were made for the creation or editing of this article.
However, I understand the importance of adhering to Wikipedia's guidelines, particularly regarding neutrality and the disclosure of any conflicts of interest. I am committed to ensuring that the article complies with Wikipedia's content policies.
If there are specific sections that require improvement or if there are any issues with neutrality, I would appreciate detailed feedback so that appropriate edits can be made. I am willing to work collaboratively to ensure that the article meets Wikipedia's standards.

Who do you mean by "our"? And what's your connection with Tosin Osunkoya please? Wikishovel (talk) 09:06, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I apologize for the confusion caused by my previous use of "our." I meant to speak from my own perspective. To clarify, I am the one who has been involved in editing the article on Tosin Osunkoya.
I first became acquainted with Tosin Osunkoya when I was researching Comercio Partners for a separate Wikipedia article I published. During that process, I came across Tosin's and his other partners contributions to the field and felt it was important to create an accurate and well-rounded article about him as well. I have no personal or professional relationship with him or his partners.
My connection with Tosin is purely based on this research, and my goal has always been to provide unbiased, verifiable information. I fully respect Wikipedia's content policies and am committed to ensuring that the article aligns with them.
Thank you for pointing this out. I am more than willing to make any necessary adjustments to maintain the integrity of the article. Gbolahanpost (talk) 09:26, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
All of your edits this year have been about Comercio Partners and their employees. You've also uploaded posed photographs, such as the one of Tosin Osunkoya, as your own work. What's your connection with Comercio Partners please? Wikishovel (talk) 13:32, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I never knew that was an issue, should i remove? Gbolahanpost (talk) 07:23, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, you should explain what your connection is with Comercio Partners please. Wikishovel (talk) 09:16, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
