School AfDs

Sorry, a lot of people tend to misinterpret "no consensus; keep" decisions so I need to emphasise their nature. Perhaps I've accidentally carried over this habit to other debates. Anyway, if people have an issue with my closing statement, my user talk is always there; admins don't bite. :) Moving on, AfD is a debate over individual articles, not a topic as a whole. You can keep "because it complies with WP:SCH" but not "as per WP:SCH" (which arguments on WP:SCH?). This behaviour also encourages the original voter(s) to respond to any questions with "refer to WP:SCH". This does not foster a discussion or debate -- it's just a vote, which AfD is plainly not. California Interstate Shields

You made a comment, but how does it rise to the level of a justification of the "speedy" part? Do you have reason to believe this nomination was improper, in bad faith, or for any other unsuitable to be deliberated for the usual discussion period? If you're looking a generic intensifier, try "strong". (Or indeed, why is it a "justification" at all? Just how small a stub category would you propose to keep? WSS norm is long-established at 60.) Your belief that it's improper is simply mistaken, then. Please see WP:SFD#Possible_reasons_for_the_deletion_of_a_stub_type, which specifically states: Their scope is too limited - As a rule of thumb, there should be at least 50 appropriate stubs in existence. The rest of your work on US roads are hardly material, as I'm not "undoing" that. So as I say, hyperbole. I have no illusions about changing your vote from 'keep', given your history on such matters; the summit of my ambition is some small indication you might in future be somewhat less lax in your inappropriate calls for something to be "speedied". restoring the more informative infobox

Rather then changing from a standard template (that may be uninformative) to a hard-coded table, would it not be better to expand the template? Actually it's a hand-coded table, depending only in and of itself. Perhaps it used to be a standard infobox and somebody substed it, I don't know. In any case, it's cumbersome to scroll through in editing, and each article would have to be changed individually if somebody wanted to change, say, the width or color of it. — Mar. 8, '06 [21:21] <freakofnur_xture|talk>

Actually, looking more closely at SPUI's infobox, I see that it allows the user to add as many junctions as he wants, the only difference being the "postmile" stuff, which isn't really useful to the average reader unless there is, at a minimum, a link to something explaining it. Admin abuse

Nice to see that admin abuse is alive and well here on wikipedia. I've been blocked indefinitely with no explaination given on my talk page as is required... just snide comments like this "I unblocked JohnnyBGood to reblock him indefinitely as a sock of Gateman1997.
