English-language broadcasters in {{Infobox animanga}}

Hello Ganryuu, I've noticed that you've been tweaking the English licensors in {{Infobox animanga}} recently, and I would like to point out that the preferred order for infobox countries is alphabetical - this goes for several countries served by the same license (thus all on one line) as well as countries between different licensors. See for example the order of countries on Naruto or Dragon Ball. ダイノガイ?!」(Dinoguy1000) 09:34, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Thank you, I was aware of that. ···巌流? · talk to ganryuu 12:18, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi

You have redirected Animax India to Animax Asia removing all its content and you said its decided to merge Animax India page on Animax Asia, sorry I don't know, but Animax Asia don't have proper information on Animax India, although Animax India needs its own page because it have its own 24x7 separate feed until 2008 and a separate block after 2008 until now, however I will add sufficient information of Animax India on Animax Asia page, hope its not violating anything!

And is it possible to have a separate Animax India page?--Anime Fan 08:36, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

No, it's not possible, as consensus has already been reached on this matter; to merge Animax India into Animax Asia. Please see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Animax India. Per this result, any information on Animax India must go into Animax Asia, as it is a part of Animax Asia rather than being a different network. ···巌流? · talk to ganryuu 09:40, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

The Sky Crawlers

I've created a new article for the The Sky Crawlers film: The Sky Crawlers (film).

Since you wrote most of the original article, I thought I'd let you know. I will be significantly expanding upon the article, which is why I created a new page for it. I hope you don't mind. --Stepusual (talk) 01:08, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

No problem; however, ensure that all criteria in WP:FICTION is met. ···巌流? · talk to ganryuu 08:02, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Shizuka Itō.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. DAJF (talk) 23:02, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Sunrise

I can see that you are going to be a protective and problematic editor to deal with. The changes I made to the article are, in fact, fully supported by WP guidelines. You said that "Inc cannot be used in titles", which is completely false, it is a recommendation of WP:NCCORP. If you have other objections to this name, say so, because the reason you gave is bunk. Ham Pastrami (talk) 09:26, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Secondly, we have the issue with the external link to the home page. You claim that the link to the root Japanese site cannot be removed. Where in any Wikipedia guideline does it say this? WP:EL lists Non-English sites as "normally to be avoided". WP:Linking also states that using English-language sites is highly preferred. Neither guideline says anything about having to link to a root domain, nor forbidding a link to an English section. Again you don't appear to have any actual justification to back up your claims that these things aren't allowed. I'm not interested in a revert war, so your ownership issues will be brought up at RFC unless you want to give me a real reason why you are reverting the changes. Ham Pastrami (talk) 09:32, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Please do not start off discussions with a conciliatory tone. Wikipedia is meant to be a community-based project and as such editors must work harmoniously and not at odds with each other. Variations such as "Inc" and so on should not be generally included in article titles, as you yourself admitted not too long ago, so I am surprised to why you would argue against it now. Sunrise itself is also the studio's most common variation, and as such there's several reasons as to why the disambiguation should be included in the title. I don't have any issues with changing it to "Sunrise Inc." (it should be Sunrise, Inc., actually, as is titled in English language-licensed releases of the company), but I would only suggest that you nominate this suggestion in the article's discussion page. If other editors agree or disagree, the best option would be to go with consensus, in such matters. In regards to the external links issue, Sunrise's main official site should be included and not removed, as the company is a Japan-based company itself and I don't see why their main homepage be removed from the article, especially when it is its main source of information. It does have an English language section, yes, but it isn't a separate homepage itself. Therefore, the site itself is Japanese and not "English" to begin with. I personally think that both the main (Japanese, in this case) and English sections of the site be included, as is seen in other similar articles. If you disagree, why not raise it up at WP:JAPAN? Again, let's try to look at a consensus-based approach to this, rather than be conciliatory. ···巌流? · talk to ganryuu 09:39, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

WikiProject Novels - Narnia Task Force

Hi! You would be glad to know that a new wikipedia ad has been created by Srinivas to encourage users to join Chronicles of Narnia Task Force. You can display that ad on your user/talk page too using the following code: {{Wikipedia ads|ad=190}}

Orphaned non-free image (File:Canaan-anime.jpg)

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Canaan-anime.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. FileBot (talk) 11:12, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi, looking at the Cricinfo story on Steven Davies' move, it looks like he won't actually be part of the squad until the end of the season. So I'm not sure whether he should be in the Surrey squad template, but it's not a big deal. Nev1 (talk) 15:54, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

I agree; it's far more probable that he'd join the squad at the end of the current season, going by the nature of most county signings, though sources such as the BBC continue to term the signing in the present tense. ···巌流? · talk to ganryuu 16:02, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I have reverted your date edits in keeping with other dates in the article. See also MOS:UNLINKDATES Regards --palmiped |  Talk  22:21, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
