Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! [edit]Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Afro-Trinidadians and Tobagonians, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. [edit]Hello, I'm Lourdes. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Tagore family— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Please do not add or change content, as you did at Indo-Jamaicans, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. SEMMENDINGER (talk) 03:01, 14 November 2017 (UTC)
San Fernando
[edit]The city corporation is the name of the governing body. The name of the town is the City of San Fernando. Look at the city seal, for example.
If you make changes to a page and someone reverts them, you need to discuss your proposed changes. See WP:BRD. That's what Talk:San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago is for. Guettarda (talk) 11:58, 13 December 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Guyana (Commonwealth realm). This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. DrKay (talk) 06:49, 14 December 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Manuel II of Portugal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Giovanni Borgia (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:06, 27 March 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Caribbean Hindustani. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Wikipedia is not a phrasebook. Newbiepedian (talk · C · X! · L) 05:24, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Doug Weller talk 09:05, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
Please stop removing equivalents of Hindu gods
[edit]The ones I've seen you do are sourceable if not actually sourced. These edits seem to be a violation of WP:NPOV. Doug Weller talk 09:07, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Indra, you may be blocked from editing. Your blanking here is inexcusable. This is mentioned in the article. Doug Weller talk 09:11, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

List of people from Hoboken, New Jersey
[edit]Hi. Please do not add uncited material to articles, as you did with this edit to List of people from Hoboken, New Jersey, as this violates Wikipedia's Verifiability policy. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 13:34, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
ArbCom 2018 election voter message
[edit]Hello, Ganganathlal. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
