The article Leroy Kincaide has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Formatting References

[edit]

I appreciate your help with the Jon Moxley article. But instead of sticking a link between HTML references tags, you could easily format it correctly. It makes the references list look a lot neater and organized. Thank you! Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 01:44, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Ron Killings appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe this important core policy. Thank you. ISTB351 (talk) 00:37, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As you have forgotten the passwords for Tenchu123456 (talk · contribs) and Flamestar967 (talk · contribs), I have indefinitely blocked those accounts to prevent possible hacking of them.

Enjoy editing with this account - and may I suggest that you take a moment to go to my preferences and save an email address to it? The email address cannot be seen by anyone else, but it gives two important advantages:

  1. Other editors can send you an email using Special:EmailUser
  2. If you ever forget your email, you can request a new password at Special:PasswordReset

Of course, if you lose access to your email address, you will need to remember to update the email address in your preferences!

Hawkins / Reks

[edit]

Hello GamingWithStatoke, I noticed your edits on Hawkins' and Reks' pages that you added back quite a lot of information which I deleted from their pages. I admit, it was my mistake that I did not provide a reason as to why I removed the information then. Therefore I've taken the liberty to explain it to you here. You see, the information I removed were... to put it bluntly, not important enough to Hawkins' and Reks' careers. You know when we say... ah, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia... that's exactly why we cannot afford to list every single thing Hawkins and Reks do every single week on NXT, on Superstars or where ever they appear. If we do that, the articles will become too long and messy and hard to read. How important is it that on one single day, Hawkins and Reks "debuted matching red and black attire", or had some "new variation of their outfits and a new titantron that featured the two of them," or had a run-in with Flo Rida and Heath Slater? At the end of the day, the small stuff doesn't matter, which is why I choose to remove them and instead provide a summary of what's going on with their careers without being too over-detailed. I hope you understand that. Starship.paint (talk) 07:53, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not list face/heel turns in headers

[edit]

As per Tyson Kidd, I noticed you've inserted face/heel turn in the headers of his career. The policy at WP:PW is that we try not to use such "jargon" in headers (or even in the main text) to make it easier for all members who are reading to understand. In this case we'd try not to list the "turns" at all, but if we have to, we usually use "fan favourite" and "villainous" to replace face and heel accordingly. Thanks for your understanding. Starship.paint (talk) 08:36, 15 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As to your other question: no, you do not need to inform the project if you edit articles, but if you create a new video game article please add it to the Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/New article announcements new article announcements page. And if you're looking for articles to create, there's a whole page of video game articles that people have asked to be created. Fantastic work with Waveform by the way, we're happy to have you aboard! Nomader (talk) 19:28, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just spotted your work with Waveform and SMITE, great contributions. A few things that you might want to keep in mind - try and add an external link to the official website at the end of the article, it means that people who want to find out more about the subject can skip Google. Try to add categories too, it's simple, just find categories for the date, genre and platform. Regarding SMITE, I think it's worth requesting a move to Smite (instead of SMITE) to align with our naming conventions. Currently, the article at Smite is a redirect to an article that contains a dictionary definition. - hahnchen 12:32, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New articles

[edit]

It is always best practice to create a draft article within your personal sandbox where you are almost always* guaranteed at least several days to work on an article and bring it into basic shape before anyone deletes it "before you are fucking finished with it"; rather than jumping right into live article space where "Work submitted to Wikipedia can be edited, used and redistributed by other people at will. " and articles are immediately assesed against the stand alone article criteria. You can request that the articles be moved there (aka "userfied") now.

Magnus

[edit]

I've gone into sort of a semi-retirement from Wikipedia and officially no longer care what people do with TNA/WWE articles, so you can do what you want to with the article. I just thought that since day 1 in TNA Magnus was a tag team wrestler and when he broke up with Joe, he, for the first time, became a singles guy and that should be the start of a new chapter. Also, I was sure he'd be walking out of Turning Point with the title and that that'd be the end of his feud with Joe. But like I said, do what you like.Ribbon Salminen (talk) 14:38, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cagematch

[edit]

Noting here, I've undone your edit on Sterling James Keenan. Please don;t revert until a consensus is reached that cagematch is reliable. SJK is a WP:BLP, which requires a stringent level of sourcing. Also noting, I don't undertsand "it is" here and admitting it's not considered reliable 3 minutes later... Regardless, per WP:PW/SG#Sources cagematch is not conidered reliable (not mlisted under reliable sources). The last discussion on it determined it wasn't reliable, and no proof was been offered to the contrary. Who writes the match results? Where do they get their information from? Are they experts in the field? Does the site have proven fact-checking? How long has the site been operating? Solid answers to these questions are required for inclusion as a RS. You "think it is" just doesn't cut it. NiciVampireHeart 11:45, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Also noting here for the record, just by looking at the main page of cagematch, I found the answer to some of the questions. "little wrestling fan site" and at the site notice (in german, machine translated) as under "Nutzungsbestimmungen & Haftungsausschluss" (terms and conditions), "Für den Inhalt der auf dem Cageboard und im Rahmen des Bewertungssystems veröffentlichten Texte haften ausschließlich die jeweiligen Autoren. CAGEMATCH distanziert sich prinzipiell von jedem verfassten Text und jeder von einem Benutzer verbreiteten Verknüpfung auf andere Internetseiten." (The content of the information published on the Cageboard and texts as part of the assessment system are solely responsible respective authors. CAGEMATCH distances in principle from any written text and any spread of a user link to other web sites.) Ie, we not accept responsibility for the information published on cagematch. Opting in to VisualEditor

[edit]

As you may know, VisualEditor ("Edit beta") is currently available on the English Wikipedia only for registered editors who choose to enable it. Since you have made 100 or more edits with VisualEditor this year, I want to make sure that you know that you can enable VisualEditor (if you haven't already done so) by going to your preferences and choosing the item, "MediaWiki:Visualeditor-preference-enable". This will give you the option of using VisualEditor on articles and userpages when you want to, and give you the opportunity to spot changes in the interface and suggest improvements. We value your feedback, whether positive or negative, about using VisualEditor, at Wikipedia:VisualEditor/Feedback. Thank you, Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 18:20, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unreliable sources

[edit]

Hi GamingWithStatoke, I saw back in 2012 you added an unreliable source (ewrestlingnews) to Adam Ohriner's article. I just updated the style guide so you might want to check out the list of Unreliable sources to steer clear of. Thank you! starship.paint "YES!" 01:57, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Adam Ohriner

[edit]

The article Adam Ohriner has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Doesn't meet WP:GNG. Refs in article are unreliable affiliated with the subject. Hasn't worked in a notable promotion or held a notable title.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
