User talk:Ga.gatto.sa
Hello Ga.gatto.sa and welcome to Wikipedia. I'm an administrator, and you left a message on my talk. If you want changes made to this article you need to provide WP:Reliable sources. All you have given us so far is your personal opinion. You appear to be engaged on Wikipedia in some kind of campaign. This can make some people nervous. Also some of your English is hard to understand. The following sentence makes little sense: "I believe EDJohnston and SchroCat especially are using articles from the daily trust, Nigeria, and writing from a circular group which cannot be relied upon." What is a daily trust? What is a circular group? Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 04:46, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
Hi @EdJohnston I need to edit a draft I sent out for review, is it possible to access this? I am picking up on learning to use Wikipedia tools; although as you can see I am not too shy of my inexperience here.
Observations for the cause of dispute over the Potiskum Emirate page.
[edit]Observations for the cause of dispute over Potiskum Emirate Page, in brief.
I noticed that the Wikipedia pages for Mai Umar Ibn Wuriwa Bauya had been deleted and all hyperlinks were removed. His royal highness is notably a peace maker and was awarded a national honour of officer of the order of the Niger (OON) by the federal republic of Nigeria. I believe we should respect such exemplary leadership especially at this time when the region is facing instability from sect groups. [1] I believe that some of the content and the tone used for Potiskum Emirate page can exacerbate conflict since it focuses on politics and issues regarding power-shifts. In a digital age, these issues can add to the level of insecurity and conflict already happening in Yobe State.
Therefore I am asking for the pages Potiskum Emirate and Fika Emirate and pages for other popular person(s) in the region to remain unbiased as to avoid causing dispute over editing. Keeping in mind that historical publications in most cases overrule recent publications that are attempting to deliberately rewrite history.[2]. Citing this, the University of California African Languages Research Study conducted by R .G Schuh, reported that Bole community have risen to prominent positions in Nigerian politics, commerce, education, and media [3]. In order words, media campaign comes down to who have the knowledge and the upper hand.[4]. But this does not mean one can change history.
It is highly inappropriate that some people will rather sit behind a computer screen promoting a digital image of themselves on Wikipedia or spiting other people's good causes. By the way, while you and I have the knowledge to edit on Wikipedia and produce viable references, it is wise to also question the meaning of 'reliable sources of information' and whether what we are quoting from is not causing tensions between tribal groups.
While you and I sit distance away in our comfort zone, what we write can cause great damages to sensitive areas and therefore needs 'careful' reviewing. Edit this page if you may.
Best wishes, Ga gatto sa.
