Hello. You know you can just request a user name change? Wikipedia:Changing username. It's probably better for you. The JPStalk to me 18:51, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- LOL. I didn't think I could do that. Would you be able to delete GMc, and change GarryMc to GMc, or is that too complicated now? GMc 19:29, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Well I can't becuase I don't have the toys -- but if you list your name on that page a b'crat will be able to change it (or say it can't be done now). The JPStalk to me 10:12, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- I've listed it there for you -- we'll see what Essjay says. The JPStalk to me 10:17, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Okay, this is not at all uncommon, and nothing we can't handle. Basically, since you've already created the GMc account, I'll have to rename it, then I can rename the old account to this. All I need is to have you log in as GMc and post "Please rename this account to make way for renaming GarryMc". You can post it here and I'll take care of the rest. Essjay (Talk) 11:01, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks guys.
Please rename this account to GMcUK to make way for renaming GarryMc to GMc. Thanks. GMc 11:12, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- All done. Log out and log back in as GMc to make sure all your session data is reset. Essjay (Talk) 12:19, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding removing the episode guide. - You have removed a lot of information from the page and left very little detail. The information was not avaliable on other sites. Would suggest that the episode guide goes on a new page.

Sean.
Fair enough. But suggest extracting information from the guide ie number of episodes each series, length and number of specials etc. It will flesh out the page and become consistant with other TV show pages.

Hi Garry. Regarding Image:SMGhq.jpg, could I ask you for more information to validate that you are the copyright holder. What camera was used? Why is this so small? Do you still have the original, larger file? I would like to think that considering your previous blocks and warnings you would not do something as silly as take a photograph from another website and cliam it as your own. Thanks for uploading Image:ITVSport titles.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Alexj2002 19:45, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You might want to take a look at the template, Mr 86.131.192.170 I think has taken it a bit far, what do you think? <font="center" color="#FFFFFF"> Keithology Talk! 18:33, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- That is shocking!!! I don't understand these people. I'll revert it. GMctalk 20:32, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- I can understand the frustration with the template being constantly edited, but technically you have broken WP:3RR. I did place a 3RR warning on the anon user's talk page and by rights following Wikipedia policy I should do the same to you. If you both can come to a compromise on Template talk:ITV, please do so, but edit warring is not the answer. --tgheretford (talk) 19:57, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Well, I'm sorry, but it can hardly stay like that. Don't you agree. It's not just me who is annoyed. GMctalk 21:02, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Yep, I know a few other people were reverting the changes made by 86.131.192.170 and to be honest, the template does seem a bit too long, but edit warring isn't the answer. I can't see any vandalism caused by the edits made 86.131.192.170 (not in the Wikipedia description of vandalism anyway). Everyone should really have made comments on the template talk page. --tgheretford (talk) 20:36, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just wondered why you moved this article to MLB on Five (with a capital F), if you can back up your reasons for this fair enough, but if not I think it should be moved back as all the channels logos etc (see the website) use lower case f. Basement12 15:38, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am confused by your multiple page moves of the article which is now at The Second Coming (TV drama), which were done without discussion on the article's talk page, and do not comply with the guidelines at Wikipedia:Naming conventions (television) which I don't know if you are aware of. The conventions on that page say that a made-for-television film should be listed as "(film)", while a miniseries should be listed as "(TV miniseries)" [US] or "(TV serial)" [UK]. There is no mention of "(TV drama)". As a two-part serial, the page was correctly at The Second Coming (TV serial) before you started the series of multiple moves. Please restore the page to its original name, and if you think you have some particular issue why that is not correct, post it on the Talk page. --MCB 19:42, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've nominated the article The X Factor UK and Ireland series 4 for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that The X Factor UK and Ireland series 4 satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The X Factor UK and Ireland series 4. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of The X Factor UK and Ireland series 4 during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Hi there
I noticed that you added a schedule to the GMTV article. Sadly I had to revert the edit you made for the following reasons:
- If you have taken a schedule from a website, they are copyrighted and the schedule could be in violation of copyright policy.
- Under schedule 17 of the Broadcasting Act 1990, it is illegal under UK law to publish a schedule for BBC One, BBC Two, ITV1 (including all regions and GMTV) or Channel 4 without paying a royality to Broadcasting Dataservices (BDS). And I quote:
“
|
The programme summaries are the subject matter of copyright. The information may only be reproduced pursuant to a licence issued by the copyright owner or pursuant to the statutory licence set out in Schedule 17 of the Broadcasting Act 1990. This ruling affects BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel 4 terrestrial channels only. Broadcasting Dataservices is the agent of BBC Worldwide, the ITVA companies and Channel 4 in the matter of issuing copyright licences and collecting copyright fees.

”
|
More information on this matter can be found here: Wikipedia talk:Copyright problems#Potential legal issue with UK Radio station schedules within articles.
Apologies for reverting your changes. Please refrain from adding schedules to articles in the future. Thank you. --tgheretford (talk) 19:06, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Before changing the link to itv.com/citv for the fourth time, please see the talk page on the guide itself.
itv.com/citv just redirects straight to citv.co.uk, thus citv.co.uk should be used.
Continually re-editing to your version without discussing it on the talk page is appaling manners - DO NOT change it again without a suitable reason. TheIslander 01:30, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for uploading Image:BBCNewsHuw.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}} , without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If I may be so bold; What are you doing? Glen 11:02, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Well, as the programmes don't have proper articles, and they all air on CITV, I thought it would be OK if I redirected them...GMctalk 11:05, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Actually the redirects are really appropriate at all. For example; Take Whizzywig, if I were looking for info on it, the redirect is literally useless - the article doesnt make mention of it even once. Please dont make anymore Glen 11:07, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
May I suggest however, that perhaps your time would be better served making even just small stubs; that state that its a programme about xyz, and that it appears on CITV and perhaps an external link to their site and a stub tag. Would take a minute or two longer but infinitely more useful and gives others a starting point from which to work Glen 11:10, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I had noticed that some weird redirects were being added to shows on the CITV page. I personally think they're better red - they show which shows still need an article - people will see this, and someone with enough knowledge may be inclined to create an article. Regardless, redirecting to the CITV article is plain stupidity. TheIslander 23:22, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I see that you are adding a number of shows to the CITV list. However, as you never comment on your edits (which is very poor practice), I have no idea where you're getting your information from. For example, you recently added The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin, yet I can find no evidence that this was ever aired on CITV. What are your sources? TheIslander 23:24, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, just a courtesy message to let you know that I have nominated ITV Network Continuity Announcers for deletion. I dont see this as the only option, but I'm not sure whether we should at least consider moving it. As I stated on Talk:ITV I think there is need for a clean-up of ITV related articles, there is a lot of duplication and there appears to be confusion about what ITV is.
Pit-yacker 23:37, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Well, I don't have that much to do with ITV Network Continuity Announcers, I only moved the content from ITV1 Network Continuity Announcers to that page. I personally think it should be deleted, as it doesn't have much point to it. An editor has nominated the article ITV Network Continuity Announcers for deletion, under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the nomination (also see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/ITV Network Continuity Announcers. Add four tildes like this ˜˜˜˜ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article ITV Network Continuity Announcers during the discussion, but do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the article), this will not end the deletion debate. --tgheretford (talk) 19:17, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your captured image of Sian Lloyd at Image:ITVSiânLloyd.jpg has been tagged for removal. I don't really understand why, as you have tagged it as self caputure, and now the editor who removed it from her biography has tagged it as unused! Best Rgds, - Trident13 01:50, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I'm not the editor in question, but there are two things wrong with this image:
- It is not a screenshot of a television programme. It is a photograph without a source.
- Images of living subjects are usually not fair use because a free equivalent could be acquired. The JPStalk to me 16:14, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Itv3 2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. I noticed that you have recently edited the Trinny and Susannah page so I thought that I would consult you. I have nominated the article to be merged with Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine as I feel there is no need for the Trinny and Susannah page as it just repeats the information on the other pages. Please don't revert to a style that goes against the MoS, and don't misdescribe what you've done in the edit summary. Also:
Please remember to mark your edits as minor when (and only when) they genuinely are minor edits (see Wikipedia:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one (and vice versa) is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting and minor rearranging of text should be flagged as a 'minor edit'. Thanks! --Mel Etitis (Talk) 10:32, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Why are you ignoring my comments here? You keep reverting to incorrect formatting. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 19:08, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
