The Environmental Impacts of China-United States trade war

[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have explored the environmental impacts of the U.S.-China trade war, focusing primarily on changes in the impact on greenhouse gases and other air pollutants, energy supply, and agriculture. The U.S.-China trade war continues, and only a few articles have examined its environmental impacts. In my research, I found that trade barriers resulting from the U.S.-China trade war led to a decline in imports and exports on both sides, resulting in a downward trend in carbon dioxide and other air pollutant emissions in both countries, and a shift in emissions in global markets due to changes in their supply chains. In addition to energy supply, markets in Malaysia and Vietnam are growing due to energy import and export restrictions imposed by China on the Trump administration in an effort to achieve energy independence. In the U.S.-China trade war, I found that the control of crops and market shifts in both countries also affect the world environment. For example, Brazil, the biggest profiteer of crops in the U.S.-China trade war, will increase production of soybeans, which will lead to high levels of fertilizers in the land and eventually pollute the water.
