Hi Froth,

Just to let you know that the Featured Picture Image:"The School of Athens" by Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino.jpg is due to make an appearance as Picture of the Day on March 26, 2008. If you get a chance, you can check and improve the caption at Template:POTD/2008-03-26. howcheng {chat} 23:51, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks a bunch for your advice, worked a charm. Can rest easy at night now Chris —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.129.49.199 (talk) 10:31, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Ouch!

Hey, this was a little bit needlessly bitey. Friday (talk) 14:10, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

The User Formerly Known As Froth

Hello. Just because you often enjoy fiddling with these things, I thought I'd mention that the version of Firefox this public computer forces upon me (1.5.0.3) shows your symbol-thing on the line above 'User:Froth' on your user page, rather than obscuring it. Can you really risk being unmasked to any and all users of obscure versions of browsers? Skittle (talk) 15:59, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Ah, makes sense. The dangers of assuming something stupidly different since yesterday is due to a change in browser... Well, enjoy sorting that out. Or maybe it will change back mysteriously by itself? Skittle (talk) 16:44, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

The footer template on your user page may not be rendering as you expect it; I am using Firefox 3.0b5 with IE Tab and both with Firefox's rendering engine and with the IE Tab rendering engine, the footer appears relative to the bottom left corner of the browser viewport - so overlays the Wikipedia navigation bar or footer. Thanks

I see from your user page that you've left the site. I note that there was discussion of the issue here (Item 8) - not sure if you ever saw it. That said, I find little comfort in Mike Godwin's response and wouldn't seek to change your mind; but thanks for all you did whilst you were here. --Tagishsimon (talk) 00:43, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks Tagishimon for acknowledging Froth's many and varied contributions. And Froth, several and many of us are delinquent (since your well intentioned hissy-fit) in encouraging you to fight your fight here, WP needs your blatant honesty. You are missed my man, more than you imagine. Reconsideration is an option, no? C'mon back wheneverever you're comfortable and meantime, we'll be watchlisting ya (-_-) -hydnjo talk 02:51, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi Froth, if you're around in the next few days come by and have a look at Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates/delist/The School of Athens. Cheers, --jjron (talk) 12:52, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

C'mon back

You've made a remarkable statement. Whether or not you feel otherwise, your statement will have had a profound impact and having accomplished that, many of us would we be grateful for your return. You've made many and varied contributions to this project and in particular your contributions on the RD have kept a lot of us honest. I hope that you peek in once in a while and are tempted to resume your role as... (take your pick). OK then, I miss you :) -hydnjo talk 02:23, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Same here. The RD seems so empty now... bibliomaniac15 03:30, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Noticeable absence

Situated as you are at Wikipedia:RD regulars right between those fine folks Friday (talk) and Gandalf61 (talk) you are noticeably missed. I and others hope that you're not one of those "grudge for life" folks. Geesh we don't need another. Bury the hatchet ain't a bad idea given our loss. I and others aren't screwing around, this place is less rich without you. -hydnjo talk 00:14, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

Froth, I noticed the desks are getting, well, less interesting than they have been and am so sorry to see you have left and sorrier to read the thread about a shocking incident I knew nothing about. I hope you weren't one of the 16 and I hope they are okay too. You are so welcome to reappear and put some zing back in the place. Miss your principles, your clarity and your faces too: /.~.\ Julia Rossi (talk) 09:18, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Yaaayyy!

So glad to see you again and enjoying the zinng, be well, (happy now Ü ) Julia Rossi (talk) 09:11, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Aha! Ǫ_ô/ <sleuthing froth - quite so> Take care, Julia Rossi (talk) 21:44, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

Marmaduke

Your message at Talk:Marmaduke was completely unnecessary and unwarranted. Please try to keep your comments limited to constructive comments about how to improve the encyclopedia; there's no point just going around pointing out stuff that you don't like. —Politizer talk/contribs 04:45, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

:Welcome back to the pedia n all. Julia Rossi (talk) 08:24, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

Wondering...

...while patrolling the desks is this IP him?. Glad to see you back - uncloaked ^_^ -hydnjo talk 16:48, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

Oh, and by the way, pretty clever of you to imbed "skip to bottom" into WP's RD culture so that we can't avoid thinking of you ;) -hydnjo talk 00:41, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Glob

Guido was not alive when glob was first written. Tedickey (talk) 11:06, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Minor amendation - he wasn't programming then. The current wording in glob is okay now, though it would have been a better expenditure of time to track down the origin of the name Tedickey (talk) 22:31, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
