UAA reports
Although I have gone ahead and blocked a few of the accounts that you've reported to WP:UAA, as a general rule that noticeboard is not used for reporting accounts that have not edited at all. Instead, we wait for the users to make their first edits (if they ever do- many newly created accounts never get this far) to determine what their intent on Wikipedia is, and then treat the situation as appropriate from there.--Slon02 (talk) 02:56, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

Washington Huskies Football edit
Hello LemonTwinkle.
The edit(deletion) that I made was to a post that I had made a few weeks ago. I deleted it because I wanted to create a new section in TALK for it so I just cut and pasted it. The new section is Item #11 in the Talk Contents titled - "Continued National titles dispute - UNBELIEVABLE CLAIMS BY HUSKY FANS." So now with the edit revert there are two postings of the same comments. I will start posting why I did edits in the future. Apologize for the confusion.

Foreign-language new pages
Hi. Thanks for patrolling new pages, but being in a foreign language is not a reason for speedy deletion. What to do about a foreign-language article is explained at WP:New pages patrol#Dealing with foreign language new pages. Often, as with that one, a Google translation is enough to decide that it qualifies for WP:CSD#A7, or putting a sentence or two into Google finds that it is a copyright violation, or exists in another Wikipedia (A2); but unless speediable for some other reason, it should be listed at WP:PNT where someone may pick it up and translate it. If no-one does, it gets PRODded after a couple of weeks.
There is a useful list at WP:PNT/T of notices, many of them bilingual, to point users to their home Wikipedia (many people don't know there are others), though in fact that didn't help here because there isn't one for Thai. Keep up the good work! Regards, JohnCD (talk) 12:10, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

Re: David Ogden Steirs
Actually, you are wrong. The discussion section of his article has an entire debate on the subject of his declared homosexuality in a weblog over four years ago that was further picked up by major news sources and hasn't been retracted since and with no apparent ongoing litigation by the actor to that end. Yet, not even a mention of it in his article, even with qualifying language as to it having at least been reported in major new sites, which was part of the discussion as a credible way to broach the matter without having a definitive confirmation from the actor. This smacks more of censorship and suppression than impartiality, perhaps because certain persons here wish to "protect" the actor's reputation based on some affinity they have for his characters. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.83.124.242 (talk) 03:35, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

iOS 7
Frosty, iOS 7 is a train wreck. It's hideous colors and childish icons are terrible. If your point is that there are many stooges out there who praise something that is new to be hip or trendy, without having any idea about the genius behind the skeumorphic design of iOS 6, then I agree. I love Wikipedia and Apple but you are wrong to say positive and not mixed at best. To conclude, dumb people that don't understand genius and line up around the Target parking lot may say they love it. Intelligent people are so disheartened by this undoing of an incredible design from Steve Jobs. Positive reviews is wrong. The iPhone was great because of the intuitive software interface. Not "cause everyone likes it". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 185.20.165.67 (talk) 21:47, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- It is not fair to call me out for reverting you here. You have changed positive reviews to negative reviews without changing the references that proceed it to back up your claim. By all means change it to mixed, but you will need to provide at least one example of a negative review. If you don't, it looks simply like you are implanting your own opinion into an article or changing one word to it's opposite for no real reason, both of which are not allowed. Also saying "negative reviews" only to list positive reviews in the same paragraph seems kinda pointless. ~Frosty (Talk page) 21:53, 19 February 2014 (UTC)

Frosty, can you pleae tell me why you removed the external link to the sample size calculators I put on the Sample Size Determination page? I must admit, I'm new to this contributing to wikipedia. - Because the wikipedia article is there to provide information on a topic, not to tell the reader which product is better than the other. ~Frosty (Talk page) 03:55, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
But isn't that what you're doing by removing a link that's just as valid as the 2 existing links? I didn't tell anyone which is better, but I know other readers would benefit from it just as I have. This is a free resource that readers of that particular page would find very useful. There are numerous examples of other calculators being posted here. There's nothing more "advertising" about this link than the one from the Roasoft INC link. It's not like I removed another link, I just think -- in fact I know -- other actual statisticians, epidemiologists, clinical researchers, grad students, and other scientists who do actual work where they have to design a study would find that list of tools quite valueable, and much in keeping with the purpose of an encyclopedia.TedPSS (talk) 04:15, 20 February 2014 (UTC)TedPSS

He had never again expressed his views again in the public press and social media, etc like wise he had expressed on other topics such as Economic and foreign affairs, corruption, religious views, views on Gandhi-Nehru family, etc repeatedly.
My question is that is it right to include his view on the topic, when that view had been expressed only once through twitter only, and not through the electronic media directly. Isn't it should be counted be as a trivial case and not be counted as a encyclopedic topic being included in wikipedia, it may appear as a case of vandalism also. - Yes that is what I should, a solitary twitter post is not something I consider to be a credibly source. ~Frosty (Talk page) 05:54, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for the speedy reply,
Should be proceed with the deletion of the heading "Views on homosexuality" or should we wait for other admins for discussion. Work2win (talk) 07:35, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
- Have you started a discussion on the talk page? If not, doing that first might be an idea. ~Frosty (Talk page) 09:25, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
- Wait, never mind, I see that you have. ~Frosty (Talk page) 09:28, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
Police Brutality Edits
Hey I was curious about why my edits to the "Police Brutality" page were reverted. I discussed the edits with my professor and he explained the argumentative wording of vigilantism. My real question was about the edit to the definition of the phrase itself. I got my wording from the wiki article "Police Brutality in the United States" and was hoping to kind of unify all the articles involving the topic and give them a standard definition. I'd appreciate tips or any feedback on ways to improve the page and how I approach my edits. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Biscuitbrendan (talk • contribs) 22:02, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
- I believe that your version centered almost entirely on the physcial aspect, whilst neglecting the verbal and psychological aspects as well. Also your reference to Dexter, whilst correct would have been far better off using a technical definition of vigilantism, rather than referencing a fictional show. ~Frosty (Talk page) 05:43, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
Those are the same points my professor made, I appreciate the response!Biscuitbrendan (talk) 21:36, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

Samsung Edit
Revenue is stated in the Wiki as ₩228.692 trillion and given in the citation as 228,692,667.0, with the table being in "Millions of South Korean Wons". It therefore follows that as Operating Income is given in the same citation as 36,785,013.0, again in "Millions of South Korean Wons" this is ₩36.785 trillion and not billion. There is obviously a discrepancy between nations and cultures as to whether a billion is "a thousand million" or "a million million" but in this case there is a clear inconsistency between Revenue and the other categories of Operating Income, Profit, Total Assets and Total Equity.
The accepted international standard is a billion is "a thousand million" and a trillion is "a million million". However I suspect this is a simple case of misreading the citation. Therefore all the figures should be in trillions, not billions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.66.246.208 (talk) 12:31, 11 July 2014 (UTC)

Contrary to your spurious allegation that I did not contribute constructively, you will not that at 14'45", Wildmill was closed four hours after it opened due to the station shelter being one inch too close to the platform edge. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vS_n51hISSw — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.42.137.229 (talk) 00:59, 12 July 2014 (UTC)
- Please use edit summaries when editing. Also you need to back up claims with sources. ~Frosty (Talk page) 00:24, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
Chicken Korma
I didn't edit the page, shared IP and all that. I will make an account to avoid this in the future. That still doesn't solve the issue of whoever else is using my internet connection to vandalize Wikipedia. I looked at what had been edited, and it seems like someone deleting stuff to protect some Redditor's dumb joke.
I'll have a family intervention tomorrow and have a good talk about why Wikipedia needs to remain an accurate and reliable encyclopedia for worldwide use, and not the butt of some localized joke to be had for 2 minutes and then forgotten forever. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.21.13.120 (talk) 07:03, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
