Information icon Hello, I'm Sumanuil. I noticed that you recently removed content from Jacques Decour without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - Sumanuil. Deleting the picture was not a mistake, because it is not a portrait of Jacques Decour but of some unknown school-boy. The portrait is a detail from a class photograph where the young man is standing on the last row. But should a highly qualified teacher not sit on the front row with other teachers ? I am the President of the association that protects the heritage of Jacques Decour and in contact with Decour's daughter, Brigitte Decourdemanche, who certified that the portrait could not be her father's. I already changed it in the French Wikipédia and replaced it with a portrait of Jacques Decour she sent me.
I am sorry I did not respect the rules and will try to do better in the future and hope I'll be able to eliminate completely this photograph from Wikimedia. Can you help? Frederique Le Graverend (talk) 08:42, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
