Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Chana Bloch, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Chana bloch. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 16:47, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Actually the other Wikipedia page: Chana bloch (i.e. last name lower case) is a duplicate and should be removed

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Chana bloch, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you. Chana Bloch: Please add citations!

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Chana Bloch, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.

I have gone ahead and requested, per your request on the talk page, that Chana bloch be speedy deleted, as Chana Bloch, which you also created, uses the correct capitalization. However this article is an unsourced BLP (see Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons) and will be deleted if not cited. If you require further help, leave me a message on my talk page. - France3470 (talk) 17:20, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Chana-image-color.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 22:47, 17 March 2011 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 22:47, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

this is a non automated, organically generated message from a live human being. thanks for starting the article on chana bloch. i have rewritten it to hopefully avoid the copyright violation. I, for one, appreciate your effort to improve WP, despite the problems with what you added. People here are very protective against copyvios, and rightfully so, but i will assume you just didnt quite get how that works here. please, add back material i removed with reliable print or web sources. welcome to WP, and thanks for beating me to writing this article. i got to see her name switch from red to blue on my userpage, which is sort of fun.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 05:47, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that copyright is a serious issue for Wikipedia; you have been warned of this before. Read Wikipedia:Copy-paste. People who continue to post copyright violations after warning may be blocked from editing. Just asserting asserting permission to use is not enough. Also, even if the copyright issue were resolved, the promotional tone of a company or personal website may be unsuitable for an encyclopedia article, which requires a neutral point of view.
In any case, Wikipesia is not a noticeboard: a copy of the subject's website will not be enough to establish the notability required for an encyclopedia article, which is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." There is more detail at WP:Notability (web), and good advice on how to write an acceptable article at WP:Your first article. JohnCD (talk) 14:31, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
