Lots of university professors have Wikipedia pages. I used templates from the same university. How is this one any different? Further, you state is a "a bit promotional." I cannot make changes without clarification or potentially an example. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Frankie1964 (talk • contribs) 22:04, 9 August 2021 (UTC)
- If you disagree with deleting the page, all you have to do is remove the template and give a reason. Anyone can do this, including you, and it's against the rules to replace it.
- What would happen next? It's quite possible that the same editor or some other editor will nominate the page for deletion through a discussion. WP:AFD
- The sourcing on Shyamal Bagchee is, to put it bluntly, slim. There are large swaths of material with no footnotes. It would need significant improvements to pass even at WP:AFC and I doubt if it would survive at AFD in its current condition.
- If you were thinking that some other substandard article on Wikipedia would give you support for adding another inadequately sourced article, you'll likely find that to be wrong. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 22:56, 9 August 2021 (UTC)
