Image copyright problem with Image:HGI2008.JPG
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:HGI2008.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 19:50, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Duplicate images uploaded
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:HGI2008.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:HGI2008.JPG. The copy called Image:HGI2008.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot (talk) 20:15, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Fbm.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Fbm.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. AfD nomination of Oviedo Marketplace
[edit]I have nominated Oviedo Marketplace, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Oviedo Marketplace. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. superβεεcat 01:11, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
There is insufficient grounds for my posted article to be deleted, the article is true and factual.

Front Desk
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Front Desk, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Front Desk. Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 06:13, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of "Front desk agent"
[edit]The deletion of an article you created, Front desk agent, has been proposed for the following reason:
- Poorly written, not NPOV, more of like a "college-essay"
You are welcome to improve the article to meet Wikipedia's quality standards and remove the deletion notice from the article. You may also remove the notice if you disagree with the deletion, though in such cases, further discussion may take place at Articles for deletion, and the article may still be deleted if there is a consensus to do so.
Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Additionally, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content inappropriate for an encyclopedia, or content that would be more suited to somewhere else (such as a directory or social networking website) is not acceptable. See What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy. You may wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.
If you have any questions, please contact an administrator for assistance. Thank you BoL (Talk) 02:28, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Front desk
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Front desk, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Previously prodded this when it was "Front Desk." As I said then, "I'm hard pressed to come up with a precise reason, but we should not have an article on the "Front Desk," particularly one which only speaks of the front desks of hotels, for whatever reason. I don't think there's anyway we can construct an encyclopedia article here using reliable secondary sources."
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. I am uncertain as to why you created a new(ish) version of the article at Front Desk when the decision on redirection still appears to apply. Care to explain? – The Parting Glass 08:29, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Hilton Walt Disney World Resort, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Hilton Orlando Resort. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 19:40, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
Your contributed article, Hilton Walt Disney World Resort
[edit]Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Hilton Walt Disney World Resort. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Hilton Orlando Resort. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Hilton Orlando Resort - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. JamesBWatson (talk) 19:43, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
I was relocating the original article to the correct article name. The Hilton Orlando Resort is about another new hotel property with that name. The Hilton Walt Disney World Resort is the new article with the correct name for the original hotel. --Floridian06 (talk) 19:48, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
- It is not acceptable to move an article by simply copying and pasting, as this loses the edit history, which must be kept for copyright attribution reasons. JamesBWatson (talk) 19:55, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
March 2010
[edit]Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Hilton Walt Disney World Resort. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. JamesBWatson (talk) 19:57, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
Illuminations
[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Illuminations a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Illuminations (disambiguation). This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. I have reverted your undiscussed redirect, again. Please open a discussion at WP:RM if you wish to change this article. Tassedethe (talk) 16:14, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:MCOAirside2.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:MCOAirside2.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 72.88.78.53 (talk) 01:31, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

WikiProject Amusement Parks Article Clean-Up
[edit]Recently, an issue has been brought up regarding the notability of many articles within WikiProject Amusement Parks. As a result, a page has been created regarding this issue as well as a possible solution (which will be on-going). In a nut-shell, certain articles will be picked to be reviewed in each stage and the WikiProject members (you) will decide if the article should be deleted or kept based on Wikipedia's notability guidelines.
I hoping this will work and if it doesn't, oh well...I tried.
More info can be found on the linked page above.--MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:27, 21 March 2014 (UTC) Sent by Dom497
Disambiguation link notification for January 29
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited General manager, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hiring. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:13, 29 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Re: Hilton Worldwide article
[edit]Hi, Floridian06. I am not sure how frequently you edit Wikipedia, but I see that you edit hospitality-related articles and have contributed to the Hilton Worldwide article in the past. I was wondering if you had a minute to assist me with a request I posted to the article's talk page. It includes a few small infobox corrections. I can't edit the article directly because of a COI, but I've proposed 3 updates and provided sourcing and formatted citations for easy editing. If you have a moment to help, I'd be really grateful. Thanks for your consideration. Inkian Jason (talk) 17:00, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
- Actually, please disregard the above comment. My request has been answered and the article has been updated accordingly. I did, however, post a second request on the article's talk page, if you are available to help. Inkian Jason (talk) 19:25, 28 March 2016 (UTC)

2019 US Banknote Contest
[edit]US Banknote Contest | ||
---|---|---|
November-December 2019 | ||
There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate. If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here |

The Points Guy help
[edit]Hello. I saw you’re a member of WikiProject Travel and Tourism, and was hoping you could assist on The Points Guy. I posted a few suggested updates to the Talk page Talk:The_Points_Guy#Proposed_Updates_to_Article to improve the article - if possible, can you review the proposed changes? I have a COI, and didn’t want to update the article directly. Thank you for your help! Cheergirl325 (talk) 15:37, 16 August 2022 (UTC)
