If you need help, check out Wikipedia's page for questions. You can also ask me by visiting my user talk page and leaving a message, or you can ask your question on this page by editing it and placing {{Help me}}

Before you create an article, make sure that you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.
Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one, please tell your instructor about creating one. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}}
on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know that the article is a subject of an educational assignment as well as aid your communication with them.

While editing:
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Be bold, but do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- Provide reliable sources to the content you add. If you are adding biomedical information, please follow this guideline.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished!

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Fixingthingsguy/sandbox
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:Fixingthingsguy/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Regarding your sandbox
[edit]As the one who tagged your sandbox for deletion, the page there appeared to be, to a fair degree, an autobiographical account of your involvement in the plastic bottle industry. Wikipedia WP:AUTOBIO strongly discourages such writing. The content, overall, appeared to be better suited for a personal blog than for Wikipedia. TornadoLGS (talk) 20:36, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- OK, Yes, the autobiographical section is quite large. I will remove it. I can see it detracts from the article in retrospect. Hope that works for Wiki. Regards Fixingthingsguy (talk) 20:41, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Please give me access to what I wrote so I may re-do. The early sections are not autobiographical although it refers to the prime designer of the PET and patents, not unlike the article on Nathaniel Wyeth which is referred to. Fixingthingsguy (talk) 20:57, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- The article was deleted by User:Fastily; I'm sorry, but it is a pretty blatant violation of NOWEBHOST. Please see WP:U5. Drmies (talk) 20:59, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- I was told so by TornadoLS. Can I retrieve the article so I may strip away the first person stuff.Thanks 172.59.188.38 (talk) 21:10, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
