Thanks user luk 3. Try this for significance: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBQ_Pitmasters , read the 2nd paragraph. KCBS can be found but MBN is a DEAD link. well, back to google for everyone. GOOD JOB.

Thanks alot. I was trying to add the notablility credits to it through newspaper articles and other ways when it was deleted. Try here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBQ_Pitmasters right after the part about KCBS. But you deleted it. oh well. I guess everyone will have to keep using google to find out information instead of wikipedia.

I wold not have to contact an administrator if you would have let me finish editing the page. I was adding the information and the page was deleted. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBQ_Pitmasters there is KCBS with a link to page and MBN with a still dead link. I guess people will keep using google for information as wikipedia is half information.

I have deleted the page as a violation of several of our policies, including copyright infringement. You need to stop what you are doing, and read carefully through Wikipedia policies on how to edit, as you are extremely close to being blocked from editing. Let me reiterate: it does NOT matter that you think people should know about your barbecue network. That is not what Wikipedia is for. GOOD JOB! Now how about fixing the dead link on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBQ_Pitmasters in the article about the Memphis Barbecue Network? Do something constructive instead of destructive.

Instead of raging at other editors with tens of thousands of constructive edits on this project, and telling us how to do our jobs, please consider my suggestion above and read up on our policies so you don't make the same mistakes and get your account blocked. Why don't you edit if that's what you do and fix the dead link on this page? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBQ_Pitmasters ? KCBS has a page, yet MBN is deleted. FYI I was editing the page as it was deleted both times. I was using the pages talk page to try to discuss what what going on. The talk page was deleted without an explanation the first time. Why don't you edit and add instead of delete? Can we at least get a google search button for more information on a topic?

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. Hey, I was the one that had a page I was trying to work on deleted 2 times. I tried using the talk page for that page and it was deleted. I want to be a part of this by adding constructive information but seem to get blocked and accused of a page being "MY" page when all I was trying to do was create a page and make wikipedia a BETTER source of information. There is a DEAD link here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBQ_Pitmasters on the 2nd paragraph. No one is concerned about that. I was trying to create the page for that MBN the way the KCBS has a page that links to the same paragraph. I kept getting threats of deletion AND without the talk page even being used. Now, how would you like that? I was TRYING and IN THE PROCESS of editing the page when it was DELETED. TWICE! BTW where is the spamming? Everyone hates spam.

Yes, but we tried to explain to you why we had to delete it, but you kept on removing the tags and even recreated it. When we tried to personally explain to you why it was deleted, you came back at us with personal attacks and you called editors inappropriate names. Hi, FinkFarm. I am Dianna and I am an administrator on this wiki. The reason your article was deleted is because the organization is not notable enough, as Wikipedia defines it, for inclusion in the encyclopedia at this time. What we need to see is coverage in reliable third-party sources such as newspapers or other media to establish notability. There's information available via Google search, but so far it's just Facebook and Twitter and the organization's own website. In this way it's different from the Kansas City Barbeque Society article, which includes references to four different write-ups in the media. I am sure, though your article was deleted quite quickly, that those who reviewed it did investigate thoroughly, and came to the same conclusion that I did. Diannaa, I was in the process of including articles from various newspapers around the country. The Sacramento Bee, a Nashville newspaper, etc. I was in the process of editing this page and it was deleted a 2nd time without the person deleting it even adding to the TALK page. MBN is just as popular as the KCBS, which by the way does have a page on wikipedia. I was also adding links to other web pages and to the page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBQ_Pitmasters where Memphis Barbecue Network has a DEAD LINK. I could not even finish EDITING this page and it was deleted. I thought I could help by creating a page for this since I had to google it and then people would not have to google it. Here in NC USA MBN is actually MORE known than KCBS.

Who can I get to look at it before I present it so it doesn't get deleted? Do I need to write it in a word document and then past it? If I am going to spend time creating a page I don't want it to be deleted and have to start from scratch. I don't mind putting the time and effort into something, and even editing it to make it fit within the proper parameters, but hate to REDO something over and over again. ~~FinkFarm~~

It probably won't be deleted if you submit it as an AFC or work on it in your userspace. I'd suggest working on it in your sandbox, and than moving it to AFC space. Also, put {{subst:submit}} on top. Electric Catfish 19:11, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I'm very sorry for my harsh statements. AFC stands for articles for creation. It's a process to create an article where you work on an article with experienced editor, who helps you fix errors with it. A good way to start an article without the risk of premature deletion is to go to Help:Userspace draft and fill in your proposed title. That will create a draft page in your "user space", with a link to useful advice and a "Submit" button which will send the article, when it is ready, to WP:Articles for creation, where an experienced user will look at it, and either it will be accepted or you will be given feedback.
