Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [1][2] MrOllie (talk) 16:59, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I thought it was useful to add some further information by quoting a relevant blog post. We can remove the link, if you think that the paragraph does not need referencing Filippo London (talk) 17:12, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have also found another paragraphs that is not correct. Where it says "The term "sash windows" is used interchangeably with the term "box sash windows" in the United Kingdom" - this is not the case. Filippo London (talk) 17:32, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia does require sourcing (see WP:V and WP:NOR), but it also does not accept vendor marketing materials or advertising links as sources. MrOllie (talk) 17:46, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

CS1 error on Sphinx

[edit]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Sphinx, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 18:00, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
