Hello Fgbwashdc! Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. The material you removed is in the public domain. The reference, url=https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/20/coronavirus-controversy-stock-exchange-owner-defends-sales-by-ceo-loeffler.html, is exactly the same as reference 14. Need Help =

I know a little about AARC Corp. I found their Wikipedia entry and wanted to add a little more information about the company. On February 25, I tried to add two pieces of text and their references.

1) According to Bloomberg, AAR Corp. supplies aftermarket products and services to the global aviation and aerospace industry. The Company purchases, sells, and leases new and used commercial jet aircraft, as well as leases a variety of new, overhauled, and repaired engines and engine products for the aviation aftermarket. 2) As reported in AAR’s 2020 10-K, the company’s Aviation Services segment provides aftermarket support and services for the commercial aviation and government and defense markets. The Expeditionary Services segment primarily consists of businesses that provide products and services supporting the movement of equipment and personnel by the U.S. and foreign governments and non-governmental organizations.(SEC with link)

As you can see on the Edit page, This text was removed and I didn't understand why. I replaced it. It was removed again. Just simple text with references. I even rewrote it and that was taken down. Some editor called it "just mundane marketing language." I'm new to this. Don't understand why all the fuss over 4 sentences. And when I visit many business entries on wikipedia, you could call a lot if it "just mundane marketing language". Who's to judge? Can you please help explain why I can't add text to this entry.

At the very least, it was good you followed WP:3RR, and put a help template here. Looking at yours and Snooganssnoogans's edits, I'm about as flabbergasted as you must feel. I think what (he?) was looking for is less technical wording. Probably start by removing "As reported in AAR’s 2020 10-K" which suggests internal or self-referencing. Besides that, I can't really help you (hence why I didn't update the template) Oops, it appears the page was protected for now, but even if it wasn't, I would probably just leave it be. Sorry it's been so long since I was last on Wikipedia! The best thing I can think of right now is the directions found here. Other than that, I would focus on helping other areas of wikipedia, improving your status, and then come back to this later. Cheers! On October 15,2021, I (have a COI) added this article and reference:

In April 2021, AAR signed a multi-year agreement with United Airlines to provide heavy maintenance services in Rockford, Illinois. AAR plans to add up to 250 more aviation maintenance technician (AMT) jobs at the facility to meet increased demand from United.

but Snooganssnoogans took it down calling it "mundane trivia and puffery." The agreement was well covered in local media.

I would like to expand on the company's history. Would this be an acceptable source for Wikipedia for the company's history: Funding Universe (http://www.fundinguniverse.com/company-histories/aar-corp-history/) whose source material come from International Directory of Company Histories, Vol. 28. St. James Press, 1999?

I would like to add the following to the AAR Corp Wikipedia page:

"In 1979, AAR organized its Aircraft Turbine Center, Inc. after future CEO David P. Storch, Eichner's son-in-law, joined the company. The unit maintained a broad variety of Pratt & Whitney and GE engines. By this time, its Allen Aircraft airframe parts subsidiary had become a leader in its field."
