I think you could locate the precise place, see the clue on the review page. Thanks and regards, --Myrabella (talk) 12:48, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply] Venues of the 2016 Summer OlympicsHi! I understand why you moved those pages, but still it is better to discuss those moves first. However, I am not sure if those moves are really needed. If you check the page names of the venues of the 1960, the 1968, and the 1992 Olympic Games, you will see that most venues are in their native names. That's why it is better to discuss the moves first, as they are controversial. Abraços, --Carioca (talk) 20:40, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply] DYK for Venues of the 2016 Summer Olympics

User:Myk60640 keeps adding the following controversial material to the article: The issue of the abduction of children from the US to Brazil has been raised by US President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the US House of Representatives and other US officials and major media. As of December 2009, there are 66 American children that have been taken by one of their parents to live in Brazil. While Brazil should have returned every child to the US, under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, it has not. Under the treaty, one parent cannot flee the legal jurisdiction where the child resides -- "his habitual residence" -- to shop for a more favorable court venue in another country to contest for custody..[10][11][12]. This is in reference to the Sean Goldman case. The statement is one-sided, as it does not take in consideration the position of the Brazilian family. It gives a distorted image of Brazil that does not comply with NPOV. Furthermore, the case is still being handled by the Brazilian Judicial system, and there has not been a final decision on this case. And most importantly, I don't think a civil custody case is worthy of mention in this article (about inter-state relations) per se. Please let me know your opinion on the article's talk page Talk:Brazil – United States relations (under RfC). Thank you. Looking at the template, it seems some of the venues are already existing non sports facilities, such at the Fort Copacabana and Marina da Glória. I could articles on a couple of the venues, but I won't be able to do all of them. Venues like Marina da Glória would likely be more notable as a marina now, not as a 2016 competition venue. Thanks! Particularmente, a legenda do File:Brazilian States by GDP per capita.svg está correta no artigo? Rio de Janeiro temporary logo for the 2016 Summer ParalympicsI can not find the image you uploaded in the source which is provided. If they haven't created a logo with the Paralympic symbol, I believe it would be misinformative to add one to the article. They should have one, hopefully they do, but it's not added to the source for the image. Bib (talk) 07:57, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Re: 2010 Tokyo BidI will continue to watch the article for Tokyo's 2016 Bid, but I don't think I would be of much help in terms of article building up to FA; GA would probably be as far as I go, and even then I have no experience taking this type of article up to GA. That said, the article as it stands looks pretty well so far, but I don't know what other info is necessary to bring it up even to GA, let alone FA, though consulting Chicago's or Rio's bid would be a good start. Might I recommend you drop a line at WT:JP where other interested editors may want to contribute, at least for the Tokyo bid.--十八 22:39, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply] Reviewer grantedHello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC). Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here. If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.
