Kellie Everts
[edit]I agree, the choice of useraname Mothergodchurch is suspiscious in itself in relation to Kellie Everts and the church that she set up. Also the only edits made by this user have been on this article. The fact that the photos come directly from Kellie's website makes me think that she may indeed be behind these adits.
The best course of action would be to notify an admin about this user, citing your suspicions either by irc or by posting it to the Wikipedia:Requests_for_investigation page, but irc is the fastest option - I will post this to the Vandalism channel tonight... Sfacets 07:47, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Well spotted you must be psychic! You were definitely on my invite list, I was going to do it as soon as I created the templates and added the tasks, and it looks like {{bodybuilding-stub}} has been approved too. Great to have you on board :) - Glen 03:15, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
Barnstar
[edit]Link vs. Links
[edit]Please read that section again and you'll see why I cited it. I am among the many Wikipedia editors who subscribe to using the plural form in all cases, for the reasons stated in No. 1-5. If you want to put it back, be my guest (though you may violate 3RR by doing so right now; you might need to wait 24 hours). Guaranteed it will be changed back to "Links" by somebody else inside of a month. 23skidoo 04:11, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe you missed the section that says There is currently no consensus on the preferred style. While it's true that there are "many" editors who use the plural in all cases, there are also "many" who prefer the singular. I'm aware of the 3RR rule, and I find it disturbing that an administrator is apparently taking advantage of the rule to gain "control" of the article. fbb_fan 14:33, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- I resent your implication. I only cited the 3RR as a courtesy to you because there are people who watch for those kinds of things (I personally don't care one way or the other) and will ban people outright for violating it. I think an apology is in order. I am in no way trying to "take over" the article. I just didn't want to see you banned for what I consider to be a really stupid reason. 23skidoo 12:39, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
- Perhaps a threat wasn't your intention, but look at it from my point of view - an admin reverted my changes twice, then warned me about the 3RR rule. If our roles were reversed (that is, if I were an admin and you were not), how would you have taken it? It sure sounded like a threat to me, and I resent threats, much as you resented my implication. If in fact a threat wasn't your intention, then fine, no hard feelings here, but please consider in the future that as an admin, your remarks may be interpreted differently than the same remarks from "regular" users. fbb_fan 00:47, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
- It goes both ways. Your comments here have made me seriously reevaluate my policy of being considerate to editors. Henceforth I will ban people outright when they hit 3RR with no warning just like other editors do. I really suggest you read up on Wikipedia etiquette. Meanwhile I have removed Joanna Thomas from my watchlist and will no longer participate in improving the article or watching out for things like vandalism. Yer on yer own...23skidoo 01:21, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Welcome to the new WikiProject Bodybuilding!
[edit]Removal of images
[edit]Please review WP:Fair use and the policy described in the copyright tag for those images more carefully. As my edit summaries accurately quoted, "It is not acceptable to use images with this tag in the article of the person or persons depicted on the cover, unless used directly in connection with the publication of this image." In each case you cited, the article use did not conform to this requirement. The editor formerly known as Harmonica Wolfowitz 19:31, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
- Please review WP:FU and note that it is in fact a guideline, not a policy. This is clearly stated at the top of the page. fbb_fan 01:26, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with you Fbb fan! By the way Hullabaloo/Harmonica is just the latest incarnation of the banned User:Ste4k whose reign of terror against other users continues unabated.Colin4C 09:57, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- Please review WP:FU more carefully. The template you mention refers only to sections 1-4 of the page. Sections 5-8 are formal Wikipedia policy. They are labelled as formal policy by the template preceding section 5. The editor formerly known as Harmonica Wolfowitz 16:55, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- ...and I believe the section you are citing as the reason for removing images is not in the section marked as "policy". fbb_fan 23:35, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

Added new bodybuilder to list
[edit]Hi Fbb fan, I've added Gladys Portugues to the female bodybuilding list. She was an actress who was married to Jon Claude VanDamme, but she was on the cover of bodybuilding mags in the 80s. I don't have her contest wins/ranks and thought you would have her in your files. I'll check in with you first for the stats on bodybuilders before making any new articles. Maybe she just needs a stat page instead. Thanks much, KarateLadyKarateLady 15:33, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the message, but there's really no need to check with me before you add things. Not sure how much info I have on her other than contest results and the marriage to Van Damme, but that's probably enough for starters. fbb_fan 17:33, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
Okay...thanks Fbb fan. I appreciate your input. I thought Gladys was a good one to add to the list. KarateLadyKarateLady 17:54, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for the tip
[edit]Hi Fbb, Thanks for the tip about red links. I don't want to cause more work for myself or other people on here. It seems there is a lot to learn.
By the way, you are doing a fantastic job with the bodybuilding pages. Your work has been outstanding. Thank you for adding the contest history and other info for Gladys Portugues. KarateLadyKarateLady 15:07, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi
[edit]Hi Fbb, I've added some contest history to the Heidi Miller article along with a link. I'm still trying to find more info on her. Hope this helps.
Also, the "see also" on France Harris and Don Nehlen was added by Tyrenius, I believe...just wanted let you know that I did not add that. But I have added more reference information to the Mayo article. I'm still trying to figure out things on here, but I'm learning as I go.
I'm working on getting more bodybuilding info for you on some other female bodybuilders. KarateLadyKarateLady 14:19, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Image situacion
[edit]Thank you for telling me about the images that had the copywright status wrong. It seems that when I was uploading the photos I accindently confused the promotional photo option for the promocomic option. Thanks.Angel,Isaac 16:53, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Could you help me
[edit]I have received permission to upload [[Image:DavanaMedina3.jpg]] from terry goodlad, but I am having a hard finding the proper tag to use. I have asked other members and I have gone to Wikipedia:Media copyright questions for help but I have not received any messages in return so could you help find the proper tag. These are the conditions that terry goodlad gave in order to use the image: terry said "Normally I do not permit use of my pictures on other websites but in this instance I will allow use of THIS PICTURE ONLY provided nothing derogatory is said about the model, the fitness industry, or the IFBB. There cannot be any associations to the website or content on the website that would be deemed derogatory or damaging in anyway to the model, me personally or the IFBB." please send me a message with your thoughts. Thank you.Angel,Isaac 19:18, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
- I think you should read some of the introductory material about Wikipedia; in particular, WP:5P might be a good place to start. Note the section there that says: Wikipedia is free content that anyone may edit....Recognize that articles can be changed by anyone and no individual controls any specific article; therefore, any writing you contribute can be mercilessly edited and redistributed at will by the community. In short, Terry Goodlad (or anyone else, for that matter) does not have the ability to control or dictate the content of a Wikipedia entry. Of course, Wikipedia policies must be followed, and any derogatory content must be well-sourced (not that I would expect derogatory content to be added). If he wants to allow use of a picture, that's fine, but it should be understood there can not be any strings attached. fbb_fan 23:01, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
5 of SPADES
[edit]Hi there my friend. Perhaps you remember commenting on the deletion of the 5 of Spades? It got deleted. Maybe even rightly so... but I now think it is due a return to the wikipedia! Having seen the James Bond film: Casino Royale, I now realise that it deserves a place in the wiki. It plays an integral role in the outcome of the film. We could make it a WELL good article. What'd'ya say? You know you want to....(The Flame Haired 1. 22:17, 20 November 2006 (UTC))

Quick Message Regarding Our Recent Debate
[edit]Just want to say that we're cool. I realize I was a bit harsh (both to you and the other guy), though at the time (with Mr. Legeros) I felt differently. I find that link spamming is a growing concern on Wikipedia as Google and Yahoo search marketing becomes more expensive and as Wikipedia dominates search rankings, more and more new "editors" are coming out of the woodwork sticking their pesonal sites in with the hopes of drawing attention and unique visitors to their site, while increasing their own search rankings. Search engine marketing is very expensive and I strongly beleive that depsite his "smiles and chocolate" appearance and his love for female bodybuilding, he has his bottom line first and foremost on his mind when dropping links in here. edit situacion
[edit]There must be a mistake when it came to change Dona "OLIVEIRA" last name, it is Oliveira (this us how it was spelled on the magazine from which I found her information background, there is very little information about her on the internet and the little information on the internet confirms the idea that her last name is Oliveira")not Oliviera.Angel,Isaac 17:18, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- It appears with both spellings on the Internet. If you look for her contest history on MuscleMemory.com, you will find it as "Oliviera". Additionally (and more significantly, given the source), the IFBB spells it this way on their "History of the IFBB Ms. Olympia" page - see [2] or [3]. The IFBB seems like a good enough authority for me. fbb_fan 01:37, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- Well I am not sure, I got my information from the a 1988 muscle and fitness magazine, and a 1989 Flex magazine (back them they covered the ms. olympia). Both spelled her last name "OLIVEIRA" so I presumed that it was like that. And since there is no official website of Dona there is not a sure way know what is the exact way to right her last name, personally I am more trusty of information in a book or magazine, but in the mean time the other name can be used as a link to the Dona page.Angel,Isaac 18:13, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- when it comes to the links of that page the reason why I did no work on that was because I was told that was for the categories to be done. As soon as categories are added to a page the name of that page is automaticaly added to the list of that particular category so I did not think it was neccessary, besides I was told long ago that it was not neccessary to that since that was for the categories to take care off; in fact some lists of different subjects have been deleted because they have been deemed as unneccessary because they have that the category list is more than enough.Angel,Isaac 17:28, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- But lists and categories are not the same thing, and don't really serve the same purpose. This is a frequent discussion point whenever lists are brought to AfD. As long as the list exists, it should be kept up to date. fbb_fan 01:37, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
Dwanyewest 17:46, 4 March 2007 (UTC) Does anyone wish to help me with this article.
Prodding me
[edit]I see you placed a notability tag on David Eppstein. While per WP:COI I don't have any plan of taking any action on that page itself, I wonder that you would take such a step so soon after getting upset with the wording in my response to one of your comments. While your intentions may well be good, it has the appearance of a bad faith edit. —David Eppstein 02:35, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- Please see WP:AGF. Your suggestion that my edit was in "bad faith" is laughable. Yours was not the only article I tagged; I know you are aware of this, since you have subsequently edited a few of the tagged articles. I've become aware recently that there are numerous articles on college professors that do little more than indicate where the person has taught and what their research interests are. I don't see where there is any bad faith in adding notability tags to such articles. fbb_fan 23:39, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Rasa von Werder
[edit]Hello. FYI: I have declined the speedy deletion on Rasa von Werder but have submitted it to AfD. Feel free to comment there. Cheers, Pascal.Tesson 03:03, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
I agree 110%. That paragraph removed from the Poundstone article was completely irrelevant and a blatant promotion of a 3rd party! (presumably the editor). I've restored the previous versions. I don't spend too much time on WP these days but I have an RSS feed from my talk page so if edit warring continues please let me know there. Thanks! Glen 22:13, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Fbb fan! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 178 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Charla Sedacca - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Lora Ottenad - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Iris Kyle - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

[edit]Dear FF, could you please check the talk page of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robby_Robinson_(bodybuilder) and help to achieve fairness in materials put on article about Robby Robinson? I would like to hear your opinion if you also support that within a couple of days an article about a famous bodybuilding legend turned out into an article about a ... I do not even have words. All the previous contributions were deleted, not only those from me, and new ones are presented so misleading that people who know Mr Robinson and his life and achievements will never believe this is an article about him.
