- Thanks. I do accept, but I won't have a chance to fill out the nom page because, *sigh*, my homework is starting to pile on, so I might not get to it until this weekend. --FastLizard4 (Talk•Links•Sign) 04:43, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Request RTFA
I just request that you READ an article before you
A: Pronounce it "unsalvageably incoherent."
(I suppose you have, but since your bucking for a admin, its by the book all the way. ) (AND since your Sooo. ANTI VANDAL. You have my support for admin, if for nothing than speed alone!)
B: Read the request to have it transfered to BJAODN.
(AND: The whole user space/main space thing is unnessessary non-sence. talkabout "usalveageably incohernet" If a user is an excellent contribution to Wikipedia, then IRREGARDLESS of how many edits he has made, time will tell. ( Please feel free to quote me in your reequest for admin )
- Note the bug in the layout in the lack of wrap around. Has this been documented??
Artoftransformation 07:38, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
Your recent RfA
I'm sorry, but I've closed your Request for adminship prematurely. Simply put, while you have 2929 edits to your credit, the vast majority of them are in your userspace; the total non-user related edits you have is 550. While edit count isn't the only determining factor, and numerous people have their own personal standards that they judge RfA candidates by, there was no chance that the RfA was going to pass.
I'm sorry about this, and hope you don't take it personally. If you continue to contribute to the project in a positive fashion, I'm confident that you could possibly run a successful RfA in the future. You may want to consider submitting yourself to Wikipedia:Editor review for feedback on where to get some good experience, and when you're ready for RfA again, there's a great Wikipedia:Admin coaching program for you to use, as well as a guide to requests for adminship.
If you have any other questions about becoming an administrator, please don't hesitate to ask me. Good luck! EVula // talk // ☯ // 16:19, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for that (no, I don't mind). Anyway, what I am here mainly asking about is, do you understand what this guy is trying to say? I'm trying to figure out if it is an attack, praise, or something in between. He mentions a deletion, which I suppose is my CSD nom of Aerodynamic qualities of food which was subsequently deleted for the same reason. Is it just me, or have I been staring at too many math problems? Thanks, --FastLizard4 (Talk•Links•Sign) 04:56, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Notice of request for deletion of editor FastLizard4 :)
FastLizard4, the editor you are, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that you satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space. Your opinions on yourself are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at User:R/EFD#FastLizard4 and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit during the discussion but should not remove the editors for deletion template from the top of your userpage; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you, and have a good sense of humor :). -Goodshoped 03:17, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Your user talk header
I had to remove the mass of tags on the top of your user talk page, because the source was deleted as unnecessary and intimidating to users wishing to contact you. Please don't restore it. I also removed your status box - it seems to break the page. --Coredesat 05:56, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, I got the source from him. I didn't make that. -Goodshoped 06:06, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- I sent it to MFD, because of the reasons I gave when I mistakenly thought it came from Goodshoped35110s. --Coredesat 06:25, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
I'm just wondering: You said you were working on my page for me? Thanks. But I noticed a place where some other people wanted to delete your account.
I'm just wondering: You said you were working on my page for me? Thanks. But I noticed a place where some other people wanted to delete your account. I guess that means I should blank my page then and forget about ever making one, huh? By the way, I like what you've done so far. I was thinking something like lavender and green for the colors. KellyLeighC (talk) 23:21, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
- Heheh, the "editor deletion" thing is a rather humerous look at Wikipedia policy, it's one large joke, or as it says on the page, "This is an official policy, as far as Spebi is concerned.", and near that, "This page contains material which is kept because it is humerus." I'll get to work on your page this weekend; I usually don't on weekdays due to school. --FastLizard4 (Talk•Index•Sign) 03:53, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
It's okay. I understand about being busy; I have a job of my own at my family's store on the weekdays, except for Sunday and Monday. It's a little furniture store we set up. KellyLeighC (talk) 02:31, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Some concern about your editing habits
I've been reviewing some of your edits, and I'm rather concerned that you may have missed the purpose of the website. Wikipedia is, and always will be, about writing an encyclopedia. You're treating the project like it's a new version of social websites like MySpace and Facebook, which it isn't. I appreciate a well-done userpage (mine's certainly rather complicated), but you need to focus on editing the encyclopedia.
Currently, you've got 3,123 edits. In and of itself, that's not a bad amount, but 1,681 of those are in the User namespace, and 866 are in the User talk namespace (a handful of those edits appear to be vandal warnings, but most appear to be discussion about user-namespace edits). You only have 317 edits in the main article namespace, and only 576 total edits outside the user/user talk namespaces. Even your main namespace edits appear to be just simple reverts using Twinkle (of which I'm not a fan, but nevermind that). It'd be nice if you could redirect your ample energies from working on userspages to developing viable content for the encyclopedia. Just a suggestion. EVula // talk // ☯ // 06:32, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- I've been trying to do that (very) recently, thanks just the same. By the way, is it just me going crazy, or do you also notice a bug that occurs when creating a new section on a user talk page that places "Do not copy text from other websites without a GFDL-compatible license. It will be deleted.", etc. above the edit input window? --FastLizard4 (Talk•Index•Sign) 06:39, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- I'm glad to hear that you're going to be improving your editing habits. Might I make the pseudo-radical suggestion of losing Twinkle? It's quite possible to edit without it (I've got over 23k edits to my credit, and not a single one was made with Twinkle or AWB or anything of the sort). That's just my opinion, though; really, all that matters is that you start working on the actual project more and userpages less.
- As for the GFDL notice, I have that entire block of text hidden via my monobook, so I wouldn't notice if it moved. EVula // talk // ☯ // 15:39, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
help with menu
I think I have alredy screwed up my menu. I'm sure that you know what I'm trying to do by looking at my past edits to it. Can you fix it for me? If you don't know what I want to do, I want to put that status thing in the menu without messing it up. Thanks for the help. Sincerely, Sir Intellegence - smartr tahn eaver!!!! 01:13, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- That should do it. The template "-" simplifies what I believe is
<br clear=all/>
. It moves everything down so it will not conflict. I believe what I did should solve your problems. --FastLizard4 (Talk•Index•Sign) 03:54, 7 December 2007 (UTC)- Responded on own user page. Sincerely, Sir Intellegence - smartr tahn eaver!!!! 23:14, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Hello, I was wondering why this image keeps getting tagged for deletion. The user (not me) took the image himself (created by him) so F-UR is not necessary (I kindly added the "PD-self" tag). Am I missing something here? - NeutralHomer T:C 05:01, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Although he took the picture himself, the image is of a British unit of currency, and is automatically copyrighted by the British Crown Act to be in the possession of the British government. As such, it still requires a fair use rationale. I know, FU is a very fuzzy gray area of Wikipedia policy. --FastLizard4 (Talk•Index•Sign) 05:08, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- British Law....that's where I go...Huh? Hell, I got "huh" with American Law :) What would be a correct F-UR for this image? I mostly deal with radio and TV logos, so this one is slightly out of my range of knowledge. - NeutralHomer T:C 05:11, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- A general fair use rationale should work, just like the ones for anything else (low resolution, used on the page for critical commentary on the subject, non-replaceable as it is of copyrighted currency, etc.). Just needs to be updated for the article it is used on. I would do it myself but I should get started on my homework. --FastLizard4 (Talk•Index•Sign) 05:16, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Patrick Byrne allegations
Should you retract your allegation, on the Jimbo Wales talk page, that the user posting as PatrickByrne was not actually Patrick M. Byrne, CEO of Overstock? Apparently his identity has been confirmed. Your detailed investigative post there alleging fraud is sort of ridiculous at this point. 72.254.36.149 (talk) 20:44, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
- I still do not have solid proof that he is. --FastLizard4 (Talk•Index•Sign) 01:11, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
- You might check the PatrickByrne user talk page or discuss with Ryan Postlethwaite. Or don't. You might also read what the guy wrote (even if it weren't actually Byrne) and reflect on how your knee-jerk attack reinforces his argument. 72.254.2.211 (talk) 08:48, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Edit summaries
- "If you have come to complain about bad edit summaries associated with reverts I have made, please note that I am a Huggle beta-tester, and huggle does not support changing the default edit summary at the moment. If you really do want to complain about it, complain to Gurch, not me."
Huggle's edit summaries may not be perfect but they should always correctly describe the revert. Have you experienced cases where it has not? Also note that you can manually enter a summary in cases where the edit is not clear vandalism or the revert needs further explanation – Gurch 12:12, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- It hasn't happened to me directly, but I another user pointed me to a post on his talk page where someone complained that his edit summaries were unclear, the only gripe I have is that Huggle should say that the edits were marked as vandalism when using revert & warn, as Twinkle does when pressing the revert vandalism button, but it isn't so much a problem anymore as I am now using rollback. --FastLizard4 (Talk•Index•Sign) 22:02, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

One of my pet peeves...
When somebody reverts vandalism, they really need to go to the vandal's Talk page and leave a warning. Most times, if the vandal continues to vandalize, you'll get rejected at WP:AIV unless they've gotten four warnings, including a final warning. Since you didn't issue a warning when you reverted User:69.14.249.165, they just got a free vandalism, because now, though they've vandalized three times, they only have two warnings. Sorry, I'll get down off my soapbox now, it's just one of my pet peeves, mainly because the admins will only count warnings instead of actually doing the due diligence to determine whether or not the vandal has actually vandalized more times than they've been warned about. Hi FastLizard what exactly did I do for vandalism? I didn't do anything, I'm Jordan Hasay's #1 FAN!!!!!! B0bby flay (talk) 06:39, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
- Please provide a diff link, I have no idea what edit you are talking about, I reverted around 200 just today. However, based on what you tell me here, you probably were POV pushing, saying that he was the greatest. Wikipedia is not a soapbox and Wikipedia is neutral, such edits that push a point of view (as the edits I reverted probably did) are considered vandalism, will be reverted as such, and may get you blocked. --FastLizard4 (Talk•Index•Sign) 06:46, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Note: if you continue to introduce such articles into Wikipedia, you may be blocked. --FastLizard4 (Talk•Index•Sign) 02:22, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
how exactly do you vandilze a talk page when everyone is stating opinions? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.168.135.34 (talk) 04:33, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
- This is most definitely vandalism, first of all: you made your comment in such a way that it appears a different user made the comment. Second of all: That is not exactly civil, in fact, to such a point that it is vandalism, especially because of my first point. --FastLizard4 (Talk•Index•Sign) 05:18, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Regarding Huggle post
Hi. Well, I noticed the reply you posted on Gurch's talk page. So, were you saying that a way of getting the software is e-mailing the creator? If so, are there any other ways? Cause due to my vision of seeing others using it, I'm almost getting a little hyper inside me about it. Well, there are some users, like Snowfire51, who are rollbackers but don't function with Huggle.
P. S. What exactly is "private beta"? SchfiftyThree 22:31, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- I will kill two birds with one stone: A private beta is beta (in development) software, which is not available to the public to be freely downloaded, you must get it by getting an invite, or in the case of Huggle (and most other private betas), the only way to get it is to email the creator, in this case Gurch. This is as opposed to a public beta, which is beta software which the public can freely download or use without any permission from the author. Also, you don't need rollback rights to use Huggle and vice versa, it just makes vandalism fighting faster and easier no matter what program you are using. --FastLizard4 (Talk•Index•Sign) 00:17, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Huggle User Category
Hi there. I have seen that you use huggle by the fact that you have automatically updated the huggle white list(it does this when closing huggle). I was wondering if you would add the category [[Category:Wikipedians who use Huggle]] to your user page so that it fills out and we know who actually uses huggle. If you do not want to you do not have to. I am also sorry if i have already talked to you about this or you no longer use huggle but i sent it to everyone that has edited the page since mid January. I hope we can start to fill out this category. If you would like to reply to this message then please reply on my talk page as i will probably not check here again.
