Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Ming freeman.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ming freeman.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:35, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I notice that the license you selected for Image:Mc college monogram.jpg is not valid and therefore the image has been marked for deletion. Please correct the entry to ensure the image is not removed. Thanks. → AA (talk)10:47, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The source of the image needs to be specified. Did you get it from the web? If so, the URL is satisfactory. If you scanned it or photgraphed it, then the publication name should be given. If you need any help, ask me on my talk page. Thanks. → AA (talk)10:56, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image source problem with Image:Ming freeman.jpg

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Ming freeman.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 07:16, 20 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. → AA (talk)07:16, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:QMH stamp.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:QMH stamp.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:14, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Farhan nasim! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 297 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Tajuddin Ahmad

[edit]

Hello:

The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Tajuddin Ahmad has been completed.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

With respect to the "six points". I have changed all references to the six points demand removing the hyphen. The hyphenated version would only be used when six points is an adjective - i.e. six-point plan. If the six points ever appeared in a named document it's name should be used. Best of luck with the GAN.

Regards,

Twofingered Typist (talk) 21:31, 22 January 2021 (UTC) @Farhan nasim:[reply]

Really happy with the overall copy edit. You have done a great job. Just have a few points:
  • Seems like you are right about hyphenating "six points".
  • Family: Don't know the exact Wikipedia rules for that, but can we consider keeping the "Family" section later, as it had been. Of course, I see your points here.
  • Most of the information, except for Tajuddin's marriage, are chronologically later.
  • The background of Tajuddin's wife's leadership builds on Tajuddin and Mujib's assassination.
  • Awami League: "In 1964, after Suhrawardy's death, Mujib, once the general secretary of the Awami League ...". Mujib was the general secretary at that time. Is the once necessary? The "once"is not necessary if at that exact point in the narrative he was g.s.
  • Bangladesh Liberation War: "... Mujib refused to escape until 25 March, fearing it would be used as a pretext to massacre innocent Pakistanis". East Pakistanis would be more appropriate here :) By all means, make this clarification.
And lastly, hope you have enjoyed reading the article :) Though it is not part of copy edit, would like to hear if you had any difficulties in getting the context and have any improvement suggestions. I think it is interesting and provides an clear, understandable record of the man's political life. It would be worth going through the article and making sure all the factual statements in it are cited. Good luck with it moving forward. Twofingered Typist (talk) 12:58, 23 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Farhan nasim (talk) 03:00, 23 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your last responses. Just noticed a confusing thing:
Post-independence career: "the In the newly independent country, Mujib government struggled ...". The initial the in the sentence is obviously an error. But, the sentence and the one following it were a separate paragraph. Now it is superseded under the one preceding it. Did you actually mean it to be or is it a mistake (from the edit source it seems so)? Please let me know.
