The article Whale Protection Status has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unable to verify the existence of this term.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Unblocked
[edit]Hi Fanatical Submarine, I have unblocked your account. Please understand that this doesn't mean you can continue to edit in the way you did. If others are warning you you are doing things wrong, take it to heart, and stop doing what you are warned for. If you don't quite understand what they mean, ask them instead of ignoring it. My Big Blocking Question
[edit]I just saw an account blocked for being associated with a business. I don't know why that doesn't work on Wikipedia!? Oh well, it would be nice if you could answer my question. Fanatical Submarine (talk) 17:15, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
- See WP:Conflict of interest and WP:Neutral point of view. Basically, it's difficult to write neutrally about a subject to which one is closely related. Tiderolls 18:41, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
Starting to Review..
[edit]Hey. I'm eager to start reviewing AFC submissions, and I want to start here. Could you tell me how to safely, and properly review an AFC submission? Fanatical Submarine (talk) 22:05, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
- Have a good read of the reviewing instructions;
- Install the script mentioned therein;
- Add the reviewers talk page and this help desk page to your watchlist;
- You need to make sure you have a good understanding of policies and guidelines. Pol430 talk to me 22:09, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
Does make sense
[edit]Have a look at WP:USERNAME. The block was for two reasons - one was a name that appeared to represent an organisation (Wikipedia accounts are for individuals and not for groups), and the other was advertising. See WP:SPAM. That's what I do when the two things come together. There's a softer block for having the wrong name but editing reasonably well - that just usually requires a change of name (or even just a new account not mentioning the company or underwater knitting circle or whatever it was). If there's spam from a username that passes USERNAME, they get a caution from me if it looks deliberate. There's two more levels, and after Level 4 there's usually a Spam Only block. Most of these are just trying it on, and give up after the first attempt to plug their corner florists and martial arts gym or whatever. The bag sellers and fake Rolex pushers are professional spammers and get no mercy. OK? Any more questions, you can ask on my talk page. If I'm not around, there's quite a lot who stalk it and usually sometimes give better answers than I do. Peridon (talk) 18:52, 30 April 2012 (UTC)
- The one you're referring to was a glorious bit of PR talk, and had address and telephone number too... Pure advertising. Peridon (talk) 18:57, 30 April 2012 (UTC)

Reviewing
[edit]Hello again. Unfortunately, I am not able to install the script needed for reviewing AFC submissions. However, I still want to review, as my reckless point of view on the submissions has changed over time. Please, inform if there is anything I can do to pursue my interest in reviewing AFC submissions without installing the script. I heard there was manual mode......
